I changed sd cards and i believe it erased my stock book marks. i lost the cnn book mark which i liked. now when i go to cnn.com it takes me to the cnnmobile.com. i want the m.cnn.com one. I can only get the full site or the cnnmobile.com.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but sometimes when I click on one of the bookmarks i've saved (especially after browsing the internet a bit) the phone will open the browser to the last page viewed - not the bookmark I selected.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI used this app called iDrive lite to back my iPhone contacts on it, and now when I use it on Android, they load just fine, however when my phone reboots. all the contacts disappear. However it doesn't erase my manually added ones. Just the ones I restored from that app.

Then when I went to my phone's contacts they were all gone except for 5 seemingly-random contacts, three of which aren't even in my Facebook contacts. This is a major problem for me. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have purchased a 23gb sdhc micro sd card. On my computer and phone the total memory is recognized. When connected to the computer I can transfer my selected music across to the phone (htc legend). No issues and no errors.
Everytime I dismount the phone and then check these files the phone only see 4-5gb of the music (9gb orignally added). If I then try and reconnect to my computer only the 4-5gb is present the rest has been erased! This is happened with 2 micro sd cards. Really confused - can anyone help?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have got a Samsung galaxy Y with Android 2.3.6 gingerbread, Google maps is 6.4. I did pre-cached a few maps but when I disconnect the wifi after sometime the cached maps are erased.
In cache setting , current cache is shown as 0 B, while I have got 2 precached map areas.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Exhibit II. I was just flashing a custom rom in my phone. What I did wrong was that instead of just erasing cache, data, etc.I erased the whole rom I had pre-installed. So I flashed the custom rom, but it would just boot loop. So I thought because I had erased the original rom, the root was disabled. So I tried to restore my phone with the stock rom, but it only erased cwm recovery and I cant access my phone other than the stock recovery mode. I cant even access the sd card with the stock recovery. I can only access the usb storage.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOK, so why do I not see anyone else commenting on this? I have owned several cell phones in the past that needed updates. NONE of these phones ever needed to be backed up prior to updating because an update resets your phone. STUPID! I simply don't have the time to do so and then try to reset up my phone the way I spent so much time doing the first time. This update should be available on the settings menu and definitely should not require backup.

I tried to update firmware, to reinstall stock browser, but it fails bcs of browser.apk missing. Also tried to download browser apk from xda (blackhand's one i think) set up permissions and owner tru' the root Explorer, but firstly browser crashed with "unfortunatelly browser has stopped" error, but now it wont install at all, bcs i get parsing error everytime i try to install browser apk.

But we were expecting mail (snail) from a travel company through which we are taking a trip to Oregon and it hasn't come. We don't know their name (forgot) but I had a call from them and made a call to them a week or four before I cleared the call logs. If there was any way to get them back, I could get their number.
My carrier is Solavei (on the T-Mobile network) and they do not yet have detailed call logs to see in Activity online and it's all online. I can't use them to find the number.
I am looking for a bookmark application which ties into the default browser. I've found something called LiveBookmarks but that ends up being a folder, but I'm after an actual app which will bring up a list of all the bookmarks + favicon next to it.I'm also looking for a decent RSS reader aswell, any ideas?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSometimes I wish I was Dr Frankenstein and could take the parts I like from all 5 major browsers and put them together into one SUPER-browser.
1. Stock Browser (full-featured but slow)
2. Dolphin HD (medium quick but weird bookmarking scheme)
3. Opera Mini (fast and great bookmarks, but no pinch-to-zoom)
4. Skyfire (all round probably best one, but slower than xscope)
5. xScope (very fast and light but lousy bookmarking and no copy text)
Anyway, I was giving Dolphin HD a shot because I like the way you can drag your bookmarks out from the left side. I actually like to have my bookmarks alphabetized (I know, NUTS, right?), but apparently Dolphin sees no need for this as they don't have any option to sort your bookmarks by any metric other than to drag each one by hand - a rough task if you have 200 bookmarks.
Dolphin does have this "Bookmarks to SD" add-on that will allow you to export your stock browser (universal) bookmarks to an html file, then import them back into Dolphin. Unfortunately, it somehow reverses the order of my A-Z alphabetized universal bookmarks so that they are Z-A in Dolphin.
How do you remove a single bookmark? if i hold my finger on the bookmark to drag it the entire screen of bookmarks comes along for the ride.
