Sense UI keeps crashing on me! It used to happen maybe once every couple weeks but now I get it 2-3 times a day. I just got Pandahome last night and when I switch from Panda to Sense it restarts sense maybe 1 out of 10 times but the crashing problem began before then so I don't know what's causing it. I'd try a hard reset but last time I did that my phone wouldn't activate and it took Verizon 3 hours to fix.

HTC Sense is crashing constantly on my EVO. It happens so much the phone is unusable. Multiple reboots do nothing to fix it.I had a couple of 3rd party widgets installed (Gmail count, and SMS count) so I uninstalled them.Now I only have the Clock/Weather widget that came with the phone on the home screen and Sense just keeps crashing. Force close, after force close, after force close.I will have to hard reset if I can't find a solution.I've changed scenes to one of the stock scenes (HTC or Sprint) and it's still crashing.I boot up, swipe back and forth between panels, crash!
View 12 Replies View RelatedI don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, so I figured I would post it. Since flashing DC 2.08.1 on Sunday, I've had sense crash on me quite a few times per day. It did it twice on Sunday, four times yesterday and twice all ready today. I did flash the Espresso w/ stock rosie theme from DCUpdater and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any help would be appreciated as I really don't want to have to re-flash. If I have to go that way, I will probably just reload my nandroid of Fresh 2.0d.

View 9 Replies View Relatedmy sense launcher on my DINC just crashed on me and I had to restart my phone. Anybody else have this problem? This is one of the first issues that I have had with the dinc besides the short battery and the intermittent signal that everyone seems to be experiencing. i hope they have an update soon and with any luck some of that sweet 2.2 goodness. let me know if anyone else haas experienced this.This message is being sent from my Incredible not using Tapatalk!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have read a number of the posts on this board and tried to condition my new phone for best battery life, etc. and haven't added many apps yet. However a few of them keep crashing ALL the time and it's really annoying. Particularly Google Talk and Gmail, the native apps that I didn't install. I will open them up, press one button (on an email or a name) and then it will just close back to the home screen. It will do this five or six times in a row before it lets me use the app. I have been using task panel but have both apps on the "ignore" list so I don't think that should make a difference, and come to think of it it did that before I installed task panel. The phone is literally three days old.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Droid Eris 2 days ago and have had multiple problems with it. The first problem was it wasn't receiving a signal at all. The 2nd problem I had was after I had wiped my device flashed the ROM and rebooted it kept saying htc.touch.input.app has encountered a problem and i had to force close it. Now it is not letting me get in to the stock messaging app to read any texts.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently switched to chomp from handcent because I like the way chomp looks better than handcent and they both have basically the same functionality.
Well chomp just had an update and it is now force closing everytime i turn my phone on and will not work at all.
I have not tried to uninstall and reinstall because I just got it customized perfectly and there is no guarantee that will work. I will do that if/when someone says it has worked foe them.
That said, has anyone had this problem happen to them after the new update?
I have had my Eris for maybe 3 or 4 days and I absolutely love it. I have to thank all of you for the useful tips and tricks I have been reading.
I haven't had a problem until tonight.
I was using the stock browser on MySpace, finished what I was doing, logged out and used the back key to get back to the home screen, which I always do. I could never get back to the home screen, the farthest back it would take me was to the original MySpace login screen and I had to hit the home key to get back to the home screen.
When I now try to open the browser, it acts like it is loading, I see the status bar, which loads all the way, but other than that, the screen is completely white and stays that way - the whole screen is white and never does anything.
Could this have been caused by MySpace or maybe a browser issue that happened to occur while I was on MySpace?
I have cleared cache, cleared all data, rebooted a few times, force stopped it, killed it with advanced task manager and everything else I could think of.
My sister downloaded the app lockbot free and her words were 'it froze when installed so i restarted my phone and now it's stuck at the HTC screen when i turn my phone on'. She was right in the fact that it won't get past HTC now.. I'm at a loss on what to do besides a factory restore.

It first flashes the HTC sign, then it takes about 10 seconds to load my home screen. Now this morning i installed an update for "spare parts". Im assuming this was the culprit so I un installed. Still having the problem though. Extremely annoying!

The system keeps this info, why not display it? This is useful for me.No weekly calendar view - what were they thinking?? (The day view looks so cool - but not useful to me. So if it is out there then I am sorry for the repetitive post.I just updated to 2.1, and can't figure out how to switch to the Home instead of HTC Sense Home? Anyone out there know how to do this? Before on 1.5 OS, all I had to do was hold down the "Home" button to display my most recent 6 apps, then hit the button again to pick if I wanted "Home" or "HTC Sense".Now, that does not work.

I know I should root, but I don't want to while I'm still under warranty and I'd like to give it a try without to see if I would like it without sense. I have launcher pro installed with home switcher and that seems to have changed over fine(with one incident where my sense home came up). The problems I'm having are with the messaging and dialer apps. I've installed handcent and like it, but I still get the notifications for the sense messaging app, so now I get two every text messaged. Also I've installed Dialer one, but the green phone button still fires up the stock dialer. Is there any way to fully replace these parts without rooting? I also really want the calendar app back, is the launcher pro one similar enough? I like seeing the whole month and being able to scroll with just the widget.

One of the biggest thing I am looking forward to is the new Sense's browser performance. So can someone record a video demo-ing the browser? In particular, I would like to see how much the MULTITOUCH (pinch-zoom) has improved from the 1.5 Sense, that is one of my biggest concerns.
View 28 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend has a Droid Eris and she is currently on 1.5. From my understanding HTC needs to update Sense UI before she is able to get the 2.0 or 2.1 upgrade. Say she didn't want Sense anymore and just wanted to upgrade to 2.0 or 2.1.
Is this something that's possible? Will she lose any functionality? I think it would be worth it to ditch Sense UI and just be able to be on the latest firmware. As these updates become more frequent, I think relying on HTC to keep up is a little unrealistic. Upgrading the firmware at your own pace seems more appealing. Is this possible?
I might be getting one, and I know on some HTC phones with sense, it can be turned off.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI backed up my apps in anticipation of a factory reset and nothing since then. so since i switched back to sense yesterday, i have noticed that when off the homescreen for too long, like while browsing the internet, when i return to the homescreen, sense reboots itself. black HTC screen comes up and sense gets a reboot. i figure maybe this is because the OS is used to switching sense to the background because i was running helix for so long.
