if you want to use the agenda, you must sign in with your google account, but it won't work cannot give a stable dataconnection or something i tried it with wifi and edge/3G, internet works all the time, but google account won't.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S a few days back and was able to sign into the Android market via my gmail account. I even managed to download the BarCode scanner application.That's where the problems begun. Since auto-sync was on, all my gmail contacts were synced with my phone contacts. Now since I did not want to see my gmail contacts every time I try and make a call, I performed a factory reset on the phone (since there was no other way to get rid of all the gmail contacts at once). I then turned sync off and tried to sign in to my Google account, but it refused to do so. I get a message saying: "Unable to establish a reliable connection with server. This may be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. Please contact customer care if the problem persists." I even tried connecting with sync on just for the heck of it but it still did not work.The Samsung Customer Care service in India is truly pathetic. They said that: "We do not provide support for such technical problem" Wtf? They then proceeded to give a regional center number, which when I called.

On my Galaxy S I cannot register the google account in order to use market, gmail application and even such a basic function as calendar application. It keeps informing me that it cannot connect to the internet (and really the web traffic indication is completely dead). That same happens with WiFi connection. At the same time internet is working perfectly on the phone and I registered my gmail account without problems in phone's e-mail application and it works perfectly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 and only a few hours ago, my Google Account showed "Can't Sync" and "Sync will be back shortly" type of messages. As a result, I couldn't sync contacts, access Google+ and couldn't open Google Play even if there was Wi-Fi.
Note that I don't use a 3G or 4G because those are not available in my country. Also note that every other account like Dropbox, Evernote, Whatsapp and Viber etc work and I am even able to browse the web on the Chrome app. Also the internet connection in my home is working okay.

I just got my first android phone, a samsung galaxy s4 and love it. I have been able to set it up as I want for the most part. One thing I cant figure out though, how do you set google account sync to only sync over wifi? I know you can go into the data section and choose which apps can update over wifi, but I don't see one for google account sync. Is it called google services or something? In the google plus I was able to set it to update photos and videos over wifi, but what about the calendar, app data, drive etc.?

ODIN showed PASS in the window but the phone refuses to boot up. It remains frozen with the SAMSUNG sign. Recovery mode is not working either.

2nd question: My phone resets by itself each day most of the time when I'm browsing the market, a question mark will appear over the battery icon or a blocked sign(the circle with the slash running through it) will come up, the screen goes black for 10-15 seconds, the home/back/settings buttons are still lit up. Should I just exchange it for a different one since it's been giving me these problems? Also, Inception came on the phone and now whenever I try and play it, it says file not found. I'm thinking of going to the tmobile store tomorrow and exchanging it for a different one.

Anyways i did this to the point where it required a google id login. So i sigh and attempt to login, does not work, i try 10 more times before i find out that this is an ongoing android problem. It starts to downloads email, contacts and calender entries but then starts to freeze or pop-up screens appears saying that there is no contact with TwLauncher - it doesn't matter if I choose "wait" or "force close". Even if I delete the exchange account the phone keeps freezing and I have to do a phone reset (with all the setting up and downloading of apps to follow). I have tried to set up the account on a clean phone with NO other apps installed same problem. What do I do? Our server is Exchange 2003. It works fine with my colleagues Nokia and HTC phones.

Lo and behold, a year later there are now four Android devices on my Google Play account (my S3, a Nexus 7, a 2013 Nexus 7, and a Kindle Fire running AOSP). When setting up these other devices, I could not figure out how to set up my account for only Google Play. I have sync disabled for things such as GMail and Hangouts, but they can still manually switch to my account in the respective apps. I have Googled around and cannot find any solution, though I think some of that may have to do with me having no idea how to word my search queries. Is there any way to set this up, or will I have to make an entirely new Google account for the entire family? I have not purchased many apps (no more than $30), but the two Nexuses (Nexi?) that are not rooted will lose all of their app data.

Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
