Has anyone had a problem with the ringer in 2.1? No matter what I set the volume to, when it is in my pocket, it goes off FULL BLAST! Even if I set it to the lowest setting it is almost embarrassing loud when it goes off.

It doesn't always ring at max volume but maybe 1 out of 3 times. Does anyone else have this problem? I have 2.1 second leak installed.
I reset all my data before installing the leak. Anyway to fix this? Aside from this I have no other problems with 2.1.

But on the other end of the line whoever is calling will get my voice mail and my phone will continue to play the song until its over. I know most of you are going to say "Factory Reset!" but im trying to trouble shoot before i go that route.

This has happened even when the ringer volume is turned all the way up (it's much too easy to inadvertently lower the ringer volume, but that's another story). Yeah, I know - I live in New York City, where it's easy to not hear a phone ring, but I've missed calls even when I'm in a totally quiet room. Just now, I was sitting with the phone on the table in front of me, and it started lighting up with an incoming call, but the ringer made no sound. I checked and the ringer was up 3/4 of the way, so it should have been ringing.
View 25 Replies View RelatedI recently picked up a used Eris and love it. It's my first Android phone, and it works flawlessly--most of the time. My main issue is the volume settings. None of them actually adjust; my ringer and notifications ring at full volume all the time and my In-call volume is absurdly loud. I have searched this forum and have found many have issues with low volume. My problem is the opposite. I have tried adjusting the volume in the settings screen and while on the phone talking to somebody. Neither works. While adjusting the ringer volume, it just rings at the loudest volume all the time. My firmware version is 2.1.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust wondering, on 1.5, the Ringer/Alerts volume was locked together so however loud the Ringer volume was, the notification volume would be the same. Since upgrading to 2.1 OTA, they are no longer linked together. Is there any way I can link them back together so they are they same volume without having to individually change each one? It's kind of annoying when I set my Ringer volume to low, and all of the sudden I get a text and it's almost 3 times as loud.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHere's something I haven't seen addressed before. If I am looking up an address on my phone (2.1 leak v3), there is no way to see the full address. Even in edit mode, I would have to maneuver just to see the whole address.
Am I missing something, or is there some kind of a fix?? I noticed the same issue with 1.5 and hoped that the 2.1 would fix this.
Getting memory low warning on my Eris. Available space on internal storage is only 28MB. Available space on SD card is 7,506 MB out of total space of 7,572 MB. So, I guess the only thing on the SD card is the pics I took.What can I move to the SD card, and how do I go about doing that? I would think just moving all the Market Apps to the SD side would solve my problems. Any help out there?

View 21 Replies View RelatedSo I use my Eris to sync my Google Calendar which works fine. But I am trying to be able to see my wife's Google Calendar on my phone as well. I have the calendar shared with full access to myself, but I still cannot see it on my phone, although I see if when I log in to Google Calendars. What am I doing wrong? Is it possible to see shared calendars on the Eris? If so, how do I go about doing it?

At full volume with earphones, the volume is still quite low, much lower than what my blackberry puts out, and not very good. Any way to up the volume besides the side volume rocker? Would a different media player application give me a better volume output or is it a problem built into the phone?

I'll sell it for $10, shipped.I will say that I really liked the Phantom Skinz on my Eris. The only thing that I didn't like was it eliminated the "soft touch" feel on the back. Other than that, no bubbling, very smooth, did not interfere with the screen and great self-healing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI picked up my Droid X this morning and coming from my old Storm I'm really liking it. My only real complaint is that the volume of the ringer is way to low. I've already turned it up all of the way in settings but is there an app or something that could make it any louder? I use my phone as an alarm clock and I'm a fairly heavy sleeper so this is almost a make or break feature.
View 10 Replies View RelatedBefore the update I could hold down the volume button and go from from an audible ringtone down to vibrate and if I kept pressing the button, it would completely turn the ringer off. After the update once it gets to Vibrate it will NOT turn the ringers off now.
