HTC Droid Eris :: Alarm And HTC Calendar Widget

My only problems with this phone so far has been the alarm not going off and htc widget not showing my events on option 1. I've figured out the issue in regarding the alarm. My alarm only works if I have one alarm set, if there are more than 1 then that is when it will not sound the alarm.I just wanted to put that out there because I have seen people in need of the same help. Hope that helps. Second, I can not figure out why the HTC calendar widget will not show my events. I can get it to show my events by deleting the widget and re-adding it, that is just stupid.I am using the smooth calendar widget right now, I like it but I would like to use the HTC widget calendar.

So the large calendar widget that I placed on my home screen used to show dark little tabs in the corner of everyday that I had an event. While I was looking through it, all of the little tabs disappeared and I have no idea what days I have events unless I go into the actual calendar app. Is there any way to keep them there permanently?

I am looking for a widget (it could be a Clock and/or Weather or Calendar widget) which also display the time/day of the next scheduled alarm. I tried many of the most popular Widgets apps on the market but I couldn't find any.

Does anyone use the calendar widget that shows the next upcoming event? And if so, does yours seem to be off by a day or so? It'll say Todayevent) and then it'll have whatever I have for the next day, and not the current day.

My spouse and I are sharing our Google calendars with each other, but since I am rooted and using xtrrom I can't use the Sense Widget which used to display shared calendar events.I am using Agenda widget, but it only shows my calendar and thats it, nothing from the other calendar.Is there another agenda widget that will show my all my shared Google calendars?

At one time I thought I could edit (aka change) a previous event by:
1) Selecting the date on the calendar view
2) Selecting the event
3) This brings me to the "Event details". When the the screen opens I see the whole edit menu for a moment. Then I only see the event with date and time and a line that says "my calendar" with an icon. The menu's only choices are "add reminder", "delete" and "share vCalendar".
At one time I had an way of editing the event. I just cannot figure out how to do it now.

I think this has been posted before but I haven't found an answer yet. I'm using the one-day calender widget. When I have an all day event, it shows the wrong date. For instance, I have a all day event on the 18th; today is the 16th and it's showing the event as being tomorrow.
Anyone else have this problem and find a fix yet?
I'm affraid I'll show up at the wrong place a day early or a day late...

I upgrade from a blackberry storm to the eris and I'm looking for an alarm app that could turn the phone on when its time to get up. My blackberry had the capability of being turned off but would turn back on when the alarm went off. Does the eris have this capability or is there an app out there for this.

I tried several alarm clocks on my droid, and they all seem to have a problem. if I set alarms for 6:30, 6:41, and 6:52 am. Each with a different sound. If i snooze alarm 1, alarm 2/3 never goes off. i thought all 3 would be seperate, but it seems only 1 can be active at a time. unless im doing something wrong. this happens on the default alarm clock and, better alarm clock.

I played with the Fascinate today for more than an hour at VZW. I LOVE IT. My only question is related to the calendar. On my D1 I have many more widget choices including the calendar. This widget displays on my home screen and always shows my next appointment whether it is today or in a week. The next calender entry always shows. This is not the case for the Fascinate. It has a nice widget that shows weather, stocks, and at the bottom appointments. It only shows today's appointments. I downloaded a calender widget app that was nice and may work but it would not open so I don't know.
Now the question: Can any of you guys with the fascinate comment on a widget that allows the widget to display the next entry on the calendar. To be clear on my D1, if I have no calendar entries for today, my 10am meeting tomorrow shows up on the widget with a time and date. Can one do this with the Fascinate.

I have a question about the Calendar widget (the HTC one). I want to use the smaller of the widgets since I don't want the calendar to take up a full screen.
Is there any way to see more than one appointment without opening up the full calendar? You would think if you have multiple appointments in a day that you'd be able to flip through them from the widget, but you can't from what I can tell.

I'm having a problem with the launcherpro + calendar widget. When I add an event by selecting a day in the future, it opens an agenda but the start/end date is always the current date. Anybody else with a DX have this problem? Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a known issue that will be fixed in the future? I checked the LP forum and didn't see this issue.

I've searched the Market and all threads. I'm looking for a simple popup alarm. For example, I want to set an alarm for 12:30 p.m. tomorrow with a note to (do something). Is there anything out there that will do it? Recurring alarms would be nice (like for birthdays, etc.).If I could find something like I'm using on my PC (Chameleon Clock) would be perfect. I use it every day for calendaring and other reminders.

I have searched for days to try to find a solution to this but nothing is quite right. My old phone I had my work schedule set in my calendar with a reminder set to use as my alarm so I never had to worry about setting it the night before. I was able to set up profiles so when I slept the only sounds I got were the phone ringing and my reminder from the calendar. With Android the calendar, sms, and email volume is all tied together so of I want my calendar alert loud (which I do) the sms and email have to be as well. I don't want a random email waking me up in the middle of the night either. This seems like an easy thing to do but I can't find anything to solve it.

Is it possible to turn the phone on silent but still have the alarm go off in the morning? I was able to do this with my env touch. I would just set it to "alarm only" for the volume setting.

My alarm clock does not ring when i set it. I do use TasKiller but I don't kill the clock app when I'm expecting it to ring. Its unreliable and its the only thing i absolutely hate about this phone. Is anyone else having this problem? seems like something petty to visit the VZ tech for, but i've been late to work too many times since getting my phone.

Just a quick question for those of you who know the marketplace pretty well. I really want to upgrade to LP for my phone, but there are two moto widgets that I really like but can't seem to find similar replacements. One of them is the calendar widget and the other is the weather widget. What I'm looking for is an app that displays the current date and the next upcoming event. I've found a few, but they take up too much space for my tastes. I'm trying to keep these two on the home screen for easy viewing. Secondly I'd love a weather widget which could display the weather information in a small amount of space. Pictures are not necessary, I could live with text descriptions.

How come when I load up the calendar widget to display on my phone it just shows a small square with no dat or anything? It just says no upcoming events? Does it show the date or is there a widget that does the date etc?

I have a Samsung Jet right now and I absolutely HATE it's calendar and alarm. It limits the amount of words you can introduce and it forces you to introduce A LOT of data that should be automatic, plus selecting the time you want to set the alarm on your calendar to go off is really stupid...instead of letting you simply write the time you are forced to press a button that makes the time go up and down until you've reached the time you want. AND I have to select the ring tone I want to use for the alarm EVERYTIME I set a different alarm on my calendar. I use my calendar A LOT and the whole process is slow and time consuming. Even my old Nokia N95 was waaay better when it came it's calendar you would simply type the name of the alarm (no word restriction, you could insert all the info you needed) and selected the time and that's it...there were more options (location, details, etc), but they were OPTIONAL.What I want to know is if the newer Samsung cell phones's calendars are still like this (since I'm planing to buy one).
