My phone unlocked in my pocket I have a droid eris btw. I also have the lockpattern where you connect he dots set up.
In my pocket it did the wrong lock pattern five times and now it is asking me to put my email and password in to unlock it. The problEm is that the keyboard does not come up even when I hold menu.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat do you guys think about having a special setting for the droid in snesoid(or any emulator). The setting would let you hold the phone "upside down" while the keyboard is out(make the screen the screen show upside down as well of course). That way its the tradional.dpad on left and buttons on right. I sent this to the programmer.but no luck. I dont think it would be too hard to keep your hands away from the screen and still play comfortably.

Mose sliders will unlock when you do so, was sad that the droid doesn't .

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI was using CM6 and it had an option that i could unlock the phone by double pressing the menu button or by pressing the trackball. Now I am back to Darchdroid v2.8 because i like it way better than froyo, but the only way to unlock the phone is by sliding the screen icon. Is there a way to re-enable that menu/trackball way of unlocking the phone? I am using launcherpro 8.1 as home screen, not sure if that makes a difference.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOccasionally, the slide down to unlock doesn't work on my Eris, although right now is a first: It repeatedly won't let me unlock it despite putting it to sleep, then waking it up, etc.
Usually a quick sleep and then up will solve it, but I can't unlock it.
Is there any way I can fix this besides removing the battery...This will be the third time in 3 days I have to remove the battery. The first two were when my screen stayed black and wouldn't turn on...
If you press and hold the 'home' button for a second or two it brings up a list of your most used (I think) apps.
View 12 Replies View RelatedA couple of times today I have taken the Hero out of my pocket to find that it is unlocked and doing something (first time it tried to send an SMS to a black number and then it had loaded the browser) which is weird because I didn't think it would be able to use the touch screen while in my pocket.I'm guessing that it managed to unlock itself by pressing the menu button twice while in my pocket, but this does seem unlikely - anyway I activated the unlock pattern and it hasn't done it since, so my question is it possible to disable the ability to double-press menu to unlock it? (It's rooted if that makes it possible).It's always possible that I just didn't lock the phone either of those times, but that seems more unlikely. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

I am having a problem with the HTC Weather Widget not updating when I unlock my phone. I click on the widget and bring up the settings and check the "Update Automatically" I get a "Data Warning"- This may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. Enable automatic download of weather data? and I click yes. Yet it wont save and it keeps coming unchecked after I exit the widget. I even tried hitting now and I tried a soft reset.

Back when I had my Treo 650, i had a program on it that would allow me to hold a keyboard button down, and instead of repeating the key over and over, it would cycle through the lowercase letter to the uppercase letter, to the symbol on that key. I'm looking for something similar for my Droid's physical keyboard. Basically, I want to be able to be typing along, and if I press the "G" key get a "g", if I hold it for 600ms get a "G", and if I hold it for 1200ms get a "%". Obviously the hold times should be adjustable. Any ideas if an app like this exists?

View 1 Replies View RelatedGot a HTC Droid Eris the other day and absolutely love it.However, when adding a new contact on the phone, the drop bown menu box only lists "Phone" and does NOT give a "Google" or "Exchange" option as is indicated on p. 72 of the pdf "User Guide for Droid HTC Eris" by Verizon. I have examined 3 others Droid Eris phones of friends/family, and on each of their phones when adding a new contact the drop down menu box does list the "Google" option in addition to the "Phone" option.The problem with not being able to select "Google" as the contact type is that the contact information does not "sync" with the Gmail "Contacts List" online.

View 4 Replies View RelatedLurked for short time. Good site. Wife and I got Eris each. hers does not 'buzz' when tapping the 'home, menu, back and search' touch keys. Could not figure it out. Any suggestions? (Love the phones by the way!) OH!!! And, bought the Seido 3500 mah battery. it really is not that big, fits in my hand nicely. I will let you know how it lasts. charged last night and still strong today. But I will keep updated.

View 8 Replies View RelatedFriend of mine told me today that ones of his co-workers have their phone set-up where it is bluetooth connected to his laptop, His laptop is connected to his home television which makes the tv act as his monitor, then he uses his android phone as the wireless keyboard and trackball for the mouse. He wasn't sure what phone exactly he had, or what app he was using.
My questions are. Is this possible with the eris? If so, is there a specific app you need to get? I know that the Eris doesn't do data over bluetooth, so I don't know if this is something that won't work now, but may work with an upgrade to 2.x. This is something that I would be interested in doing.
I can't get the SlideIT to work on my HTC droid eris. Does it even work on 1.5 or do I need to have 2.1 for it to work?
