HTC Desire :: Icon At Top Of Screen?
Aug 8, 2010I am trying to find out what the 3 and sometimes 4 symbols areat the top of my screen. They are ticks above 3 lines. I have switched off programmes but they are still there.

HTC Desire :: Way To Look GPS Icon On Top Of Screen?
Sep 13, 2010I have troubles using my phone's GPS. The GPS location option on my phone is enabled of course. If I try to get my location using the GPS Status application for example it's impossible for me to get a lock. It doesn't even find a single satellite. Also the GPS icon does not show on top of the screen. Any help on this? I tried looking it up in the manual and on Google but found nothing really.

Apr 16, 2010Have just got my HTC Desire. I switched the phone on for the first time and it's stuck on a screen with a green icon on. The icon is a down arrow with two arrows going around in a circle. What am I supposed to do here? I've pressed on the screen and held for a few seconds, pressed and held each of the buttons and no response. Not even the power button works.

Jul 27, 2010I rooted my 0.8 Desire from a guide on here. This seemed to go as the guide said it would. I then followed another guide to install the radio and sence froyo. This also seemed to go to plan. It wiped all my data and apps but I re-installed Mybackup pro and got everything back
2 problems now. my main email that I used to access with the 'email icon' on the main screen [hotmail] will not connect any more and when I look at the phone software version it says 'version 2.1 update 1' Does this mean 2.2 has NOT been istalled? If so I'm pissed off as it took me about 2 hours in all
HTC Desire : Messages Icon Green Circle Notification On Home Screen
Apr 16, 2010the "messages" icon on the home screen is a sort of envelope speech bubble looking yoke when there are new sms text messages you get a small green circle over this icon with the number of unread messages in it. how do you clear this?
I hit the icon and get a screen of my text messages none are highlighted in bold to say what's unread AND even after opening them all and going back to the home screen the damn green circle is still there. after a while it goes again?any ideas?

Aug 24, 2010I have recently bought a spare charger off e-bay, it isn't a htc branded one but just a cheapo Micro USB charger. When I plug this one in, I get an icon for car mode in the top left hand. I don't get this on any other charger I use (USB, Mains or car). What does this mean and how can you change your settings for this mode and why doesn't it show on the other chargers.

HTC Desire :: Reduce Icon Size
Jul 25, 2010I don't suppose there is a way to reduce the amount of space around the icons for apps/folders? When you remove the text under the images you could easily fit an extra row of icons on a homescreen by getting rid of some of the blank space.

I think it could be cuter if it were possible to get a surface view that mapped to the home screen icon for the app and animate that when the app is running and the icon is visible. Is that possible? I remember way back in the days of Windows 3.1, that when your app was minimized, it was possible to draw to the minimized icon as though that were the app window (actually, I guess it may just have been the app window). Anyway if such a thing is possible in Android, I'd like to try it. Anybody know?
