I have troubles using my phone's GPS. The GPS location option on my phone is enabled of course. If I try to get my location using the GPS Status application for example it's impossible for me to get a lock. It doesn't even find a single satellite. Also the GPS icon does not show on top of the screen. Any help on this? I tried looking it up in the manual and on Google but found nothing really.

I am trying to find out what the 3 and sometimes 4 symbols areat the top of my screen. They are ticks above 3 lines. I have switched off programmes but they are still there.

The icon is a down arrow with two arrows going around in a circle. What am I supposed to do here? I've pressed on the screen and held for a few seconds, pressed and held each of the buttons and no response. Not even the power button works.

This also seemed to go to plan. It wiped all my data and apps but I re-installed Mybackup pro and got everything back
2 problems now. my main email that I used to access with the 'email icon' on the main screen [hotmail] will not connect any more and when I look at the phone software version it says 'version 2.1 update 1' Does this mean 2.2 has NOT been istalled? the "messages" icon on the home screen is a sort of envelope speech bubble looking yoke when there are new sms text messages you get a small green circle over this icon with the number of unread messages in it. how do you clear this?
I hit the icon and get a screen of my text messages none are highlighted in bold to say what's unread AND even after opening them all and going back to the home screen the damn green circle is still there. after a while it goes again?any ideas?

It seems there's a trick that I'm missing because I'm only successful 10% of the time I want to move an icon from one screen to the other. Most of the time I have to delete the icon, swipe to next screen, then add it again.

When I plug this one in, I get an icon for car mode in the top left hand. I don't get this on any other charger I use (USB, Mains or car). I tried a pack from here: Royalty Free Icons & Clipart Stock Images ~ Icons Etc. but they all seemed small when on the phone.
I don't suppose there is a way to reduce the amount of space around the icons for apps/folders? When you remove the text under the images you could easily fit an extra row of icons on a homescreen by getting rid of some of the blank space.

I installed handcent on my eris today and do not have the microphone icon available on the quick reply screen. Any ideas how I can get it to work? Is this available on the eris?

I think it could be cuter if it were possible to get a surface view that mapped to the home screen icon for the app and animate that when the app is running and the icon is visible. Is that possible? I remember way back in the days of Windows 3.1, that when your app was minimized, it was possible to draw to the minimized icon as though that were the app window (actually, I guess it may just have been the app window).
