Hi there, I am absolutely new here. I live in Croatia, got my HTC Desire last week and trying to get some useful info here. After first connection with PC via USB for charging purpose, there's still the USB icon in the status bar and it won't go off after I dissconected the cable. Anybody knows what to do?

Just a little present for any Mac & Desire users out there. I just finished making a couple of Desktop icons and thought I'd share them with you all! Just download the .zip file, unpack it and apply whichever Icon you like best. If you don't know how to do that, I've included an instruction manual in .PDF format as well.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have troubles using my phone's GPS. The GPS location option on my phone is enabled of course. If I try to get my location using the GPS Status application for example it's impossible for me to get a lock. It doesn't even find a single satellite. Also the GPS icon does not show on top of the screen. Any help on this? I tried looking it up in the manual and on Google but found nothing really.

I have downloaded an icon pack from the internet onto my PC. I havce extracted the files and got them in a lovely folder. However, when I download them onto my Desire I can't seem to locate my new icons via FolderOrganiser Lite.Is there a specific place where you have to save them on your SD card?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought a spare charger off e-bay, it isn't a htc branded one but just a cheapo Micro USB charger. When I plug this one in, I get an icon for car mode in the top left hand. I don't get this on any other charger I use (USB, Mains or car). What does this mean and how can you change your settings for this mode and why doesn't it show on the other chargers.

I tried a pack from here: Royalty Free Icons & Clipart Stock Images ~ Icons Etc. but they all seemed small when on the phone.
I don't suppose there is a way to reduce the amount of space around the icons for apps/folders? When you remove the text under the images you could easily fit an extra row of icons on a homescreen by getting rid of some of the blank space.

Their contact picture has been replaced by another blurry pixellated picture.
Further to this, I notice that the actual contact picture in Facebook for HTC Sense is borked and pixellated. Anyone seen anything like this before?

But whenever I try to flash a new ROM using ROM manager, the phone re-boots as normal, but I get a n icon of the phone with a red question mark above it... The phone then just re-boots as normal without flashing anything?

The icon is a down arrow with two arrows going around in a circle. What am I supposed to do here? View 3 Replies View Relatedi've just upgraded to the Desire & am liking many things in it, but this issue bugs me:i've synced & linked the contacts in my 'people' app. in some cases, this involved linking the FaceBook profile of a person with a pre-exisitng phone number in my phone/sim card.The problem is that the phone seems to default to the Facebook 'profile picture' as the icon/photo that shows up in my People app (for that contact), even if tell it not to.I've tried downloading new pics, or taking a photo with the camera, and then manually setting this as the 'icon' for a certain person. This works for a while (a few hours?) and then within one day, the phone automatically re-sets this icon & replaces it with the Facebook profile pic. again.

This also seemed to go to plan. It wiped all my data and apps but I re-installed Mybackup pro and got everything back

the "messages" icon on the home screen is a sort of envelope speech bubble looking yoke when there are new sms text messages you get a small green circle over this icon with the number of unread messages in it. how do you clear this?
I hit the icon and get a screen of my text messages none are highlighted in bold to say what's unread AND even after opening them all and going back to the home screen the damn green circle is still there. after a while it goes again?any ideas?
