It must have signaled and non-signaled state both set manually. A thread must be able to wait on it and wait would return immediately if the object is in signaled state and block if it is in non signaled state until another thread sets it to signaled state. There must be way to reset the object back to non-signaled state.

View 27 Replies View RelatedI have a new desire. The new Telstra 3G sim mangles the contacts on getting them out of the old Nokia. I can sync the nokia to windows 7 contacts. It would appear that htc sync only looks for the old outlook express windows address book. Is there a fix for this as I can't get the contacts from 1 phone to the other.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had DC 2.08.1 installed for about 2 weeks with no issues. I decided to go ahead and partition the SD to utilized apps2SD as I was having memory issues. That process, while not smooth, went through okay and the SD card is working with the partition and apps2SD. However, ever since that was completed, my Windows 7 box no longer recognizes the phone either as a phone or as a drive. My Linux laptop recognizes the drive without issue.
Any suggestions on how I can reintroduce my phone to the Windows box, at least as a drive?
I was wandering if it possible to install the default android keyboard on the Desire? Don't get me wrong, I love the HTC keyboard but am just trying out a couple of different keyboards out of interest.
So i anyone knows a link the the apk that would be brilliant. Just to clarify, I mean the one with black keys. I tried searching but could only find a modified version of the HTC one.
Shazam is a fantastic tool. Great for showing your mates on a night out. This is how I used my 5 free tags up don't want to buy it, as it is just a gimmik. Can anyone recommend a similar app?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my HTC Desire a few weeks ago in Korea and I have trouble with the keyboard detecting my touch properly. I tried to go calibrate the damn thing but when I go into Settings<language and keyboard the only options available are Select Local which leads to either Korean or English language and DioPen IME which leads to a bunch of options but none of which are keyboard calibrate. Is there anyway for me to calibrate the keyboard? I've tried downloading different keyboards from the market to see if they work better but when I select them in the language and keyboard folder they still don't work so I don't know what to do.

Just installed Air Horn app, and for some reason the speaker has stopped working, no sound, no music, no alarm in the morning.

I'm new to the Android OS having been a Symbian (2nd phone is a Nokia N97) and Windows Mobile user previously. My question regards a copy of Family Guy (Something, Something, Something, Dark Side) which I purchased yesterday. The standard DVD also comes with a digital copy on the DVD which, when inserted into the drive brings up a choice of transferring the file to my computer to be copied over to my Desire as either a iTunes file or a Windows Media Video (WMV).Ideally I want to avoid the iTunes route as currently I have no use for that program on my system so I would like to be able to use the WMV version. When I copied the file to my Desire, it didn't play and the phone didn't seem to recognise it. Can anyone please give me advice on how to play a WMV on my Desire?

I have searched this forum (and others) and have not found anything that has worked so far....
Basically, I think the HTC keyboard is a bit too cluttered, and would prefer to use the default android keyboard (introduced in 2.1 I think, includes a voice entry button to the left of spacebar).
I'm not a big fan of the dialer on the eris. Not too impressed with Dialer One either.
What I do like is the dialer on the Samsung Moment. I like the tabs to switch between the call log, contacts and favorites.
Anyone know where I can find one that is similar?
