HTC Desire :: Weather Animation Constantly Play / Scroll

Got my Desire this week as a free upgrade from Orange, really impressed with it and glad i resisted from getting the iPhone. Anyway a question if anyone can answer, why doesn't the weather animation constantly play/scroll, it only does it once when you turn on, up to now(this week) its been sunny/cloudy so only seen the clouds scroll across the screen once but you don't see them again. My brother has an HTC but i don't know which one apart from its a Windows OS not android and his constantly scrolls. Is the android OS different than the Windows or do i need to activate something in the menus?

how do I? I have only seen it once when I turned my phone on. Otherwise I have never seen the current weather status animated on home screen.

I like the weather/clock app that comes with the HTC Desire with the animation, is there any other clocks or weather apps that have the animation, as I could like the clock to be smaller.

My friend had an HTC Desire HD and it impressed me so much i actually wanted to but it off him, even though its about 2x worse in specs than my current phone, but it has the most beautiful user interface i've ever seen.I'm talking about the HTC DHD weather unlock animation.I first noticed it when i asked the friend to make a call and upon unlocking the phone the screen froze over and it started to snow, it was pretty amazed by how good it looked, and how accurate it was since it was really snowing outside.Here it is. I think this is one of the best looking widgets/launchers i've ever seen, and i have a question, not as much as a request.I do know that this is "exclusive" to sense, most likely 3.0, but would it be theoretically possible to rip out the launcher/weather widget you saw in the video? I'm currently using a SONY Xperia GO , and i would like to port the needed things to it from sense (3.0?) to it. How do i do it? i've downloaded 20+ widgets/apps from the play store and didn't find anything ever NEAR as beautiful, or as functional. Most of the apps/widgets require you to click on the widget to see a weather animation, thats not what i want.
How do i port the sense (3.0?) launcher/weather widget? Is there an app that is as functional and looks similar?

I really like the Weather Channel App and Weatherbug, but they both constantly start themselves and run in the background no matter what my settings are.I don't need my phone to update weather in the background as I don't check it that often.I just want something that I can open, check the weather and CLOSE really close.Is there a decent Weather App that will let me close it and not run on its own?Seems to me that its a common problem with apps, that many devs don't properly shut them down or force them to run unnecessarily.

Is it possible to remove the weather animation in Beautiful Widgets? I'm using Beautiful Smaller Home on my first screen. I still want my weather description (clear, partly cloudy, etc) on the left, but the moon/sun animation is covering part of my background photo. Is there any way to simply omit the animation?

Does anyone know how to make the radar animate either in a weather app or web site? For example, when I click on a radar image that normally shows rain looping, all the droid does is show where the rain is located on the map with no movement. Make sense? Thanks for any help. I already have All Animations checked in the Sound and Display Settings.

It seems the long running problem with the weather widget on the desire has managed to pass on to the HD.
HTC Weather Widget broken?
Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location

How I get my weather/clock widget to show the local weather? it currently shows the weather in my capital city but it used to show the local weather of the suburb I am in when I'm in different suburbs? It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I've also set the weather sync in settings to update ever hour. does anyone know what it could be thats different in my phone now?

First off, the EVO rocks. I just switched from iphone and I can't believe me as a developer let myself be held hostage by the restrictive Iphone practices for so long. I shouldn't switched LONG ago. My question is simple. I'm playing around with the evo and love the little weather animation that plays with the HTC widget when I unlock the phone. My question is how do you get that animation to play every time you unlock it? It seems to happens only when it feels like it.

I've got an unbranded Desire running 2.2. Occasionally (maybe twice a week) it will go into a cycle where WiFi disables itself when connected. Once fully disabled, it enables itself again. Once it has found my home network, it obtains the IP address. At the point of connection it then disables wifi and starts the process again. Normally, it works fine. Connected, stable, just as you'd expect. Once it starts on this loop I restart the phone and it works absolutely fine. This has happened on another WiFi network other than the home network. I've got the power control widget, and since this started I've now got WiFi manager installed as well. I run locale with a scenario that turns WiFi on when I'm at home using the location power saving add-on, however this WiFi problem has occured with both locale enabled and disabled.

Today at work I went into my people application and sent a contact card too a friend.
When I done this it went to send it through messages rather than through handcent for whatever reason. Either way the friend didn't get the contact card. After this I went into handcent to send a contact and nothing would send. So I tried sending a normal text message and nothing. After half an hour I rebooted phone but still nothing do. I decided to turn phone off and take battery and SIM card out and then turn back on. This still didn't fix it so I went into manage applications and cleared all cache and data from HTC messages application.
Again this didn't work but I am worried what data I may have deleted now? 3 hours later and everything was working ok or seeming too however every now and then I got the message sending failed. I've had full signal throughout this. Also when I now receive a message I am getting 2 messages notifications come up one from handcent the other from HTC messages application? On another note what cache can I clear? I've got astro which allows me too clear thumbnail and internal cache which I do weekly but how can I clear all my application cache at once? and should I clear caches?

Recently my phone keeps coming up with a message saying please delete some files as your phone is full.The only thing I can think of is that the images for my contacts from facebook that are linked from facebook sync are using up all my memory.

Okay what started out as a slight annoyance is quickly turning into a right pain in the ass. For some reason, over the last week or so I'm finding that I have to restart my WiFi connection to connect to the net. The web pages just wont load, but as soon as I restart it, they load fine. This goes the same for the Market. As far as I know NOTHING has changed on my phone as far as WiFi goes, and my Rom has worked just fine till this issue started.

Any way to play a sound file while the bootanimation is playing on CM11(specifically beanstalk, but being as it is cm based...) the reason im asking is because i would like the option to play a sound file of my own choosing rather then have no sound at all.
