HTC Weather Widget broken?
Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location
I tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I got the 2.2 Update. If I try adding the News & Weather widget, the weather is always wrong. Always has the sun on all night and temperature is wrong too. I checked all options of course, should work fine. Has anyone else encountered this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow I get my weather/clock widget to show the local weather? it currently shows the weather in my capital city but it used to show the local weather of the suburb I am in when I'm in different suburbs? It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I've also set the weather sync in settings to update ever hour. does anyone know what it could be thats different in my phone now?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy Portal/Spica to a DHD and really happy with the move. Its a beast of a phone!
One question though, the "standard" HTC clock widget, that includes the weather on it won't auto update. If I click it, then menu, then settings the only selectable options are "Update when opened" and "Temperature scale".
The options for "Update automatically" and "Update schedule" are greyed out. I've tried adjusting the sync settings in the main settings section but nothing makes a difference.
How can I get this to work? Frequently I will look at my phone and it will tell me my location but not the weather. And whilst it isn't vital, I jkust think the screen looks nicer with a sun or cloud or moon or whatever on it.
Got my new desire a few weeks ago on o2, I am having problems with the HTC weather & flip clock widget (the one you get with it), when I go to the weather settings and set the auto update for every hour (or any interval) I do not save the settings, the auto update is always unchecked when I go back to check. Done the usual things remove the widget and added it again to the screen but still does not work.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI have News and Weather set to "Use my location". Up until yesterday, it was working fine. Now the weather tab gives me the message "No weather location available." It will only give me weather if I enter a specific location. I have GPS turned on and other applications that need to find my location, such as Compass, seem to be able to.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy weather widget worked fine until last week when I got back from Tunisia and now, rather than showing where I am (Totton, Southampton) it is now showing the weather for the United Kingdom. How I can get it back to showing where I am?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got the Incredible and the weather widget keeps showing the location of where i am at as "2." Does anyone know how to get this to show the actual town that I am in and not the number "2"?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe weather widget on my Incredible shows my location correctly, but the actual temperature reading is usually somewhat off of the temp from the weather channel widget (right now it is 7 degrees less). Does anyone know where HTC gets its info from? I like having the temperature displayed under the clock, but not if it is inaccurate. I also compared the HTC temp to a reading off of a wireless window thermometer and it did not agree.
View 3 Replies View RelatedCan anyone recommend a weather widget that displays the current weather based on location? Preferably cell tower info instead of gps and one that only used data every set interval based on my settings so that it doesn't use data constantly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
I LOVE the beautiful weather widget and the corresponding live wallpaper. My only question is if anyone knows if it does wetaher alerts like the weather channel widget does. I love TWC widget as it has awesome wetaher alert capability along with an easily accessible radar map that's fullly interactive - anything similar on beautiful weather?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my news and weather app the weather does not show up therefore does not show up in the multimedia dock at night. I have tried zip code and geolocation. It keeps saying when i refresh weather info unavailable. IS anyone else having this problem? This just started happening yesterday morning prior to that i had no problems with it. The news portion is working fine.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
I just flew from Raleigh, NC (eastern) to Chicago (central). The clock on the phone has the correct time but the weather/clock widget that came with the dinc is still on eastern time. When i tap on the widget the screen it takes me to shows the correct time but when I go back to the homescreen it's back to eastern. Any idea what's going on here?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen i first got my desire the app was showing the sun when the sun was out and the moon when the moon was out. Then after a week it shows the moon from about 7pm when it quite clearly the sun is out. View 13 Replies View RelatedAfter the OTA update, just got it yesterday, now the HTC weather app isn't working! The widget isn't showing any weather data, and when I try to update it manually from within the app, it says no weather data available.
View 15 Replies View RelatedAfter seeing some of the great setups in the home screen thread I thought I'd give Beautiful Widgets a go but after setting it up and resetting a few times I still can't get the moon/sun or anything at all to appear in the widget. I've read that it just doesn't work for some towns but does the auto-location not work either? What format do you use for the UK location? Town, county, country ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if the 2.2 update is going to bring HTC sense along with the support of flash player? And if so, is that how I acquire this weather widget?>>>>[follow link]> http://www.gadgetsdna.com/motorola-droid-running-android-2-1-and-htc-sense/1572/>>
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought an HTC Hero and updated it with the new ROM. One of the reasons I bought it is to be able to get stock prices on the move. I do have the following problem. The stocks and weather widgets only update themselves using a WiFi connection and not my 2g/3g network. I don't think is a network problem or a GPRS settings problem as I am able to receive my emails and also connect to the internet using 2g/3g. There must be a problem with the widgets.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe weather widget on my Incredible (the one with the flip clock) will not auto update. I tap the sun/moon to get into the weather gadget, tap settings, on the top is a box to allow auto update. When its checked I get a warning of data use, allow, then back out to home. When I go back to weather settings, the box isn't checked.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince I got Kitkat on my S4, UK, on Orange/EE, the weather widget has been behaving strangely. It's set to my location correctly but every so often when I turn on the phone, or just unlock it, the temperature has shot up to 35 to 50 degrees Celsius. The real temperatures the last few days have been between 0 and 8 Celsius. It might randomly be displaying Fahrenheit I suppose, but the settings are set to Celsius, and refreshing the widget puts it back to the right temperature, in C. It's not every time but it is regular.
View 1 Replies View Relatedanyone else having problems after the update to ***od's weather forecast & clock widget? i just updated mine and now it's having "connection to server" problems..?
nice update
now, when you press a date on the calendar, instead of a list of times of the day to imput event, you see event (if one is scheduled), Add event at top, and a weather widget for the specified day at the bottom. seems to be a week's worth of forecasts.that's all i've found so far, not bad for an incremental update
View 11 Replies View RelatedSometimes it displays the same weather and temps all day.
