Jan 5, 2010I am wondering if and when 2.1 is released by Google will we be able to get full featured versions of 2.1 on our rooted phones a lot sooner than the OTA update. Secondly, does anyone know what kind of install it might be. Will it just be another ROM to replace the humancyborg ROM that most of us are running. Hopefully when 2.1 is released it shows up quickly on here.

Jul 25, 2013I have a Nexus 7 running 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, with an unlocked boot loader and rooted. Since the 4.3 versions are now officially out, I was wondering how I would update. Is there any special process? Can I just use the normal OTA update service built-in? Will doing that lose my root and unlock? If possible, I'd prefer the most risk-free method, as I don't want to mess up my Nexus.

Nov 7, 2010I rooted my desire about a month ago, and only used root access for backups. last week i got the OTA update to 2.2 and installed it, but now i think i no longer have root access. i was doing something (i forget what now) and it told me i need root access to do the task. i still have superuser permissions on my app list, but im not totally convinced. is there an easy way to find out if i still have root access?

Sep 1, 2010I recently rooted my Vodafone (UK) HTC Desire after the bloated 2.1 release from Vodafone but never got around to flashing a custom rom (after problems with the clockwork recovery Amoled or SLCD). I know wish to install the clean(er) 2.2 official Vodfone OTA release but I'm having trouble. When I download OTA the phone restarts and hangs at a screen with a triangle and explanation mark. I can then get to the recovery screen where I se the error - failed, un-verified signature. what I need to do to install the Vodfone release, do I need to un-root my phone first?

Aug 1, 2010I have a rooted Desire with 2.1 OS and I want to update to 2.2 but when I check in About section for a software update first System Update Available is 1.21.405.2 . Ok until now. I supose the first thing is to do this update and after reboot when I'll check to new System Software Update a 2.2 will appear.
After I download 1.21.405.2 via Wifi phone starts backup process and then reboots in a black screen with green SYNC icon and a loading bar stop loading after a few seconds an another black screen with a BIG RED question mark appears and then phone reboots as usual but with no update Why can't update in order to pass next step: 2.2 OS update ?

Oct 15, 2010I recently got the desire (2 days to be exact) and i read that Froyo rolled to it since the beginning of October, but whenever i try to search updates it tells me that my device is up to date, i tried on both wifi and cellular networks but to no avail.

Sep 6, 2013I downloaded Eternity Warriors 2, started playing, then when I decided to play online, I can't play PVP because my device is rooted. I've tried a bunch of apps that hide root, or temporarily unroot, and this game somehow can still see it. All I can find online is Glu Mobile is doing this cuz they think a rooted device is capable of hacking their game.....even though it's server sided. Any way to bypass this, or hide my root from this game?
