I browsed the phone as a HD today and noticed that HTC has just thrown the preloaded demo pics and music at the drive level rather than folders. Is this the best way to handle the data or should I set up a Music>Artist>Album folder structure?

Is there a way to get to certain photo faster, because if i need a photo thats all the way on the bottom, it takes forever to always scroll down.. also.. can i sort them all by name? it appears they're sorted by date modified.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI dragged and dropped a bunch of music files from my Mac onto my Moment's SD card. In the Android music player, many of the albums (classical, mostly), were all jumbled together in an "Unknown artist" file. The instruction book for the phone says I should not use my computer to create new folders, or rename folders, on the SD. HOw, then do I delete and rearrange music files? I don't see a prompt for creating folders in the app on the phone.

I want some that will scan everything, organize it the best it can, remove the duplicates, and trash the DRM'd garbage. Then I can worry about what I want to copy over the my EVO... I can connect the phone to the pc just fine and mount/unmount and copy files and such. What is bothering me is how the songs list in the player and under ringtones, seems all list the same in both places, I made a playlist, but I don't want my songs listing as ringtones. Anyone know how to do this better? Also, how to make it read the song tags info as well.

1.) - How do I put my iTunes music on to the Desire?
2.) - What is the PC Software like, and do they have or plan to have a iTunes version for Android any time soon?
3.) - Can you make folders on the Desire to put photos in?
4.) - Is 1GB enough, if I have 3G on but not using does this still eat up my allowance?
5.) - Can the Androids phones get viruses if you visit unsafe websites?

i dont think u can set up new folders on the htc desire its self so i plugged it into my laptop and chose 'disk drive' on the phone. when i go into 'DCIM' ans '100 Media' i add a new folder but it doesnt appear on the phone.

Photos are uploaded 100% complete but when i go onto Google Photos, the photos are chopped, only top 80-90% are there, the rest is filled with a grey border.

If I open my media player and go to the sync tab, I can create a play list to sync. Only when i hit start sync, it starts sycing ALL songs in my media play as opposed to the ones i selected. View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a kyocera hydro. i took my 8gb sd card from my old phone, deleted a few things from it that i didnt see a use in having on there (don't ask me what exactly, i dont remember now), and tried to simply put my pictures and music back onto the sd card to have in the hydro.
the folders listed on the card are as follows: .android_secure, Android, fastnote, LOST.DIR, and smvvm. the phone wont recognize my photos or music. i tried putting the music files in numerous places on the card to see if they'd be found, to no avail. i'm not sure if i deleted something i need on there, if i can get that back if that's the case.
I bought a 16gb Class 6 card to replace the 8gb card that came with the EVO. I put some music/photos from my PC onto the new card and stuck it in the EVO. Everything seemed to go ok, but when I went to use the camera, it showed a black screen with what i think was a pic of an SD card for about a second then just closed the camera app and went to the home screen. Was I supposed to copy anything from the old card to the new one or do anything else before I switched? I just put the stock 8gb card back in the EVO for now until I figure out what I'm supposed to do.

Just got my Droid 2 FedEx today, and am getting her all set up. I was using an LG Dare before. I had an micro 2GB card that had all my pictures, music, videos and contact photos (picture ID pictures).
It was easy going from an old Verizon phone to another old Verizon phone because the file structure was the same for all the SD formatted cards (MY_PIX, MY_FLIX, etc...).
In looking at the 8GB card that came w/ the Droid 2, there seems to be no such structure. There are directories, (.android_secure, Android, logs, and LOST.DIR) but I am not sure where to put my videos, pictures, etc. Any thoughts?
When I open my gallery to look at the actual photos I have taken, I have about 50 other "picture" folders showing up that are really music folders that just happen to have album art in them.
I DO NOT want to use the .nomedia or ".foldername" method because then my music player will not see and be able to display the album art. I just want the Gallery app to ignore pictures in the music folder. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

The Motorola site offers a free download of something called "Motorola Media Link" which it claims will enable you to easily move and sync music, photos, and video between your computer and your Android phone -- it claims to work with iTunes and with Windows Media Player. Have any Phandroids downloaded and installed this? And if so, how is it working? I am getting a Motorola Droid on Friday and wonder if this download (assuming it works with Android 2.0) is a must-have for me. I have over 1,000 mp3 files on my sd card but they are not showing up in any of my music players..they show up in astro and i can play them through there, but id like the ease of just having them in my playlists.
But ever time i send a photo using mms it resizes the image to a really low size way below 300k which seems to be the max size you can send in a mms. how do i send the photo in a text or mms and the phone not auto resizeing the photo. i no i can use email to stop the resize
