How do I send an email to one of my exchange groups with stock aosp email app on android 4.3? When typing a name in the recipents area the contact shows up but none of my groups.

how to send out emails to a group, without searching for each name individually. I wasn't able to find any answers, but did find a few people in the same boat as myself. So, I've stumbled across the answer: Contacts Groupu. I pulled it from the market, and it syncs with the groups you have in your Google Contacts. When you go to view a group, you can toggle to "check all", then hit email and and watch it plug each email address into the "to" field within the native Gmail app.

I have a group that I text to, a sports team, but two of my contacts in the group don't get my messages. They bounce back to me because they are sending to their land phones! Obviously there are multiple phone numbers for these contacts, and the first time this happened I went into the contacts to set the mobile number as default - but that makes no difference. Google Android still tries to send them to the landlines! My phone uses ICS.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust to start off, I have a Droid 3, flashed to metro. I didn't flash it myself, so I don't have very extensive knowledge, but it is rooted.
1) My biggest problem: I can't receive or send group messages. I tried both handcent and go sms pro. In GO sms Pro, I've checked Send Settings > MMS Group Chat. I can send and receive MMS, but when I send it to multiple people, they all receive individual texts rather than a group text. Long story short I'm trying to message a group of people with iPhones. How can I do this or what exact settings do I need? I've looked at other threads, but to no avail.
2) 3G isn't working. It worked when I initially got it, and when I called the place that flashed my phone, they said that Metro sent out some file that blocks the 3G access.
I changed my email password on my PC. now I can't receive or send emails on my phone. I tried to change my phone email password but it does not take.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to do this to a group with more than 6 people, it converts the message to a mms and wants to use there email and wont add any more than 10 contacts.This way is messed up, I have made several groups of 7 different sets of contacts, They all change to MMS Message when selecting any of those groups.I can send a group message by doing the below actions without any problem for some reason though, Which TBH is just more hasse.

Why can I recieve emails but I cant send them?
I have an Xperia X10 Mini, and for the first time ever of using a mobile I want to set up a contact group for all the parents of my kids' football team so I can send out a single message to multiple contacts in one easy go. However, I cannot seem to find a way to do this with an X10. On my old Nokia, it was really easy, but having come into the modern world and finally upgraded to a smartphone, I would have thought this would have been a no-brainer! Please, can someone help me!

I have tried a couple of free SMS tools from Android but they also stop at 1- in the group. Does anyone know of a group sms app that will allow it to send to about 40 people in one go?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my inbuilt email app works with my hotmail account and i can send and recieve emails, but it doesnt syncronise so when i delete an email on my laptop and then reload my email on my phone the email is still in the inbox.
Basically i just want an email app that lets me delete things and actually delete them rather than just deleting them on my phone and not on the actual server and obviously being able to send and recieve emails would also be good.
Is it possible to make a group of contacts i could name as favorites so i don't have to scroll through all my contacts when i want to send a text to multiple people at once?

I sent an email with an attachment today and it never got sent, it is still in the outbox folder. So as a test just now, I sent myself 2 emails (one with an attachment, one without) and only one of the two went through (the one without attachment).
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm able to receive my Gmail with the built in Gmail client, but not able to send any. The email just sits in my Outbox in "Sending" status. I've tried waiting, but it never goes through. I eventually go and delete this "Sending" email from the Outbox. However, I'm able to send/receive with the regular Email client that's set up to my work's Exchange server.

I went into the app and cleared cache/data and It works for a few minutes then back to normal. I've read through previous threads and have seen the same tips and tricks. Is anyone else having issues with their gmail? I'm not sure what else I can do besides re wiping (I don't think it has to do with the ROM I flashed so I'm not running to do this)

When i set it up initially the outgoing server was an ntl one which was suprising as i've always had to use o2 on other phones but it worked a treat on my ntl. but now its only sending mails if i am on home wifi connection not on the 02 network.

So I am sitting here today and i jump in my gmail and notice that the emails i sent are still pending and say " sending ". So I hop in my comcast acct and send them and i find out they received them finally. So I go into my gmail acct and send myself an email on my comcast acct. Its been a solid hour and i got nothing. i never use my gmail but i would like this fixed as i plan to use it. Sorry if duplicate thread, i searched around.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got the Droid on the day it came out, set up my email account that I have at GoDaddy.com with IMAP, and now on my GoDaddy webmail there is a new folder that has been created called "Sent." This is in addition to the folder that is called "Sent Items" that is already there by default. My problem, in addition to the new "Sent" folder, is this Every time I send an email from my phone, the message goes to the recipient just fine, but in the new "Sent" folder, the message gets duplicated many times. There can be anywhere from a single duplicate, to many, many more...so much so that my "Sent" folder over the course of a week, will contain upwards of 20,000 sent messages. The messages seem to continue duplicating also - there will be 3 duplicates for example, then an hour later there will be 9. This is madness!I have another email account (not godaddy) that I also have set up with IMAP and it has NO problems at all.
