Is there such as APP which I could run to "re-reset" the sounds I set. Now and then the sounds are reset to the default and it is annoying. When I detect it, I have the fun going through setting the noises back to what I want. This is annoying. I thought when I set the sounds they were "saved" somewhere. But setting the sounds again and again, and again.

My Desire is changing the ringtones I've set to seemingly random mp3's stored on the phone. I reset all my ringtones last night (for Calls, twitter notification noise, sms alert noise and reminder noise). But this morning they are all set to different mp3's. Ruling out that someone stuck into my room overnight and manually changed them all.

Just wondering if there is a way to have a different sound for each alert, similar to a blackberry. Eg. A sound for alarm, text, email, each different. I don't want my calendar using my quiet sms ringtone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to move an ogg notification to the Epic's internal memory so it will play when the SD card is mounted, but I can't move it to the /system/media/audio/notifications folder. I think it's due to NAND not being unlocked? I have root access. tried creating a /media/audio/notifications folder in internal memory and I could move the file to that folder, but neither rings extended nor ringdroid will see it in that location. Is there someway that this is possible, or do we have to wait for NAND unlock? Surely this is an issue that lots of other people have had.
View 7 Replies View RelatedLong time Droid user, brand new to the Fascinate Forum. I just bought my wife a Samsung Fascinate and I have to say the thing is absolutely phenomenal! It makes my Motorola Droid look like a 1990's flip phone!! Except for one problem the darned thing has been automatically spontaneously performing a factory reset / hard reset on itself.And it is happening at completely random times. You're sitting there playing a game, you're reading your e-mail or you just pushed the screen ON / power button to wake the phone up and unlock it and then, all of a sudden The phone reboots to the black and white Samsung startup screen, then recovery pops up and yellow writing appears that says "Formatting FOTA:", "Formatting DATA:", "Formatting CACHE:". Then the phone reboots again and comes up like you just pulled it out of the box; a full factory reset / hard reset. The contents of the SD card are thankfully fine.Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to turn on some sort of logging so that maybe I can figure out what causes it? This is now the second phone that this is happening to. We took the first phone back to Verizon the very same day we got it and they swapped it out right there for another brand new one. The second phone behaved perfectly for three whole days before it went and wiped itself. We thought for sure that the problem was with the first phone, but now it is happening with the second phone.I am going to start from scratch again, adding one app at a time making sure the thing continues to work. I have all of those apps and more on my Motorola Droid (also connected to the same Exchange Server) and my device is behaving just fine.I'm trying to think of reasons this might happen and I'm drawing a complete blank.
An app or mod that will use the microphone to sense the amount of noise around you and adjust the notifications accordingly - that is to say when its quiet, next to my bed and I am sleeping I want it to be all quiet sounds - but when I am working and there is fan noises and other stuff that is louder then normal I want the notifications to be loud - but if I walk into the break room which is quiet I want it to be quiet again - or if I am listening to music in a room or car turn up the notifications so I can here them and back down when not. You know take a sound reading and turn up or down the volume of the notification that is happening at that given time.
Only problem being when its in your pocket it will always seem to be quieter then normal so they will be quiet also, so there would need to be something to listen to the sound and determine if its being muffled by a pocket or whatever and turn it up then - if playing a sound and analysing that sound it should be able to determine what environment the phone is in, like a pocket or bag that will make it quieter. I am not even sure if i am describing this properly but I know someone can probably figure it out, but it might have to be something the manufacturer does, like that phone that has 2 microphones to auto cancel out background noises like a bluetooth headset.
Ok so this is the first problem I've had with my evo so far. In the last two days my external speakerhas stopped working but only after I change the profile to vib or silent then go back to normal. To get sound again I have to do a battery pull then it works again. So I have a feeling its a software issue. I wanted to know 1st if any one else has had this 2nd what do I want to use to back up to do a reset. And 3rd how do I do a reset.

My girlfriends phone still has the option and I even tried to clear defaults and clear data from clock and ht sense and all that and it still doesn't let me. Any idea of how I can use different sounds for my default alarm clock. I used to be able to and my girlfriend still can.

Is there a better / permanent fix for this or at least a way to automate this process? I have automateit but I can't get it to access menu clicks - is there an alternative macro app that would do this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I installed PandaBeta for the Droid, and although it was cool, I uninstalled it because it was lacking the features I really wanted (it is in beta after all). After I uninstalled it, my phone has been acting semi goofy, and I noticed there are some new things that show up in Taskiller that weren't there before:
1.) Google Partner Setup (I don't even know what this is)
2.) com.google.android.apps.maps:FriendService
3.) Bluetooth Share (I never use bluetooth)
4.) com.weather.Weather:gadgetPrivateProcess
5.) Voice Dialer
6.) com.Twidroid:remote
Now I don't know if those are supposed to be there, but if they are supposed to be there, they were never there UNTIL I installed PandaBeta. My big issue though is I have noticed my phone acting semi weird (could have just been a fluke). I just made a 1 hour phone call and when I went to hangup, the screen never woke up. So I hit the unlock button, nothing happened. I open the keyboard, nothing happened. The phone was on because when I opened the keyboard, the keyboard was backlit. This never happened before the uninstall. Anyway, is there anyway to restore the Droid to the initial state? In other words a factory reset of the OS? I don't care if I loose all data, since everything I have is on the Google Cloud anyway.
They all scare out of me when they go off, is there a way of setting a tune thats more calming in the morning

Each update of the keyboard is even worse, I have also to put the check in settings to enable the keyboard..
Galaxy s2 sgh t989 rooted followed all steps.I ran hc-ktool to backup efs.img and efs.tar.gz. I have not flashed any ROM for fear of turning my s2 into a paper weight. I downloaded root browser from play store to try and look deeper. That is when i noticed my efs folder was empty. I have been scouring my files but feel like a blind man looking for a needle in a haystack.
i still have a good imei and broadband version...everything seems okay. I am reluctant to do anything for fear of bricking. I no longer have lockscreen or power off menu either.Can i reset the phone to factory default and restore my efs? If so, do i have to unroot my phone?
So I was cycling home from work listening to some music on my Desire through the headphones via Meridian music player. During the trip home the music muted for 10 seconds or so and then re-started. I checked the phone and noticed that I had a missed call. My phone was set to vibrate only. I didn't feel it vibrate in my pocket whilst cycling. When I've listened to music before I've always heard some notification through the headphones when a call, text or email has come through but I can't be sure that the phone was on vibrate on these occasions.
Can anyone confirm that when using the headphones with the phone on vibrate you will not get an audible notification when a call, text or email comes through? If this is the case its a bit annoying because if its an email I am happy to wait till I get home but if its a call I want to take it straight away. With no audible notification you have no way of knowing whats come through.
I can't seem to change alerts and ringer volume seperately using Audiomanager pro. Whilst at work i want to hear my txt message sounds (alerts) but not my ringtone, and i want the phone to vibrate with both still. However when moving the ringtone and/or alert slider the other one moves too, they can't seem to move seperately. Am i doing something wrong or does this app not do that, and if so, is there an ap that does?

I cleaned a bunch of files with Titanium Backup and have have backups of the uninstalled apps which include my default gallery (I had another gallery app), Homescreen Launcher and some others.
By mistakenly I reset my phone to factory settings and now after resetting I cannot access any functions. Since I had deleted the launcher. I am having the files of the launcher though but since the phone has USB Debugging turned off and Google Account not set, I am not able to do anything!! Is there any update.zip kind of file to reinstall the launcher? I am using Motorola Fire XT311 which has locked bootloader so no Nandroids too !!
I have a problem with an HTC Desire. I have an emailaddress that does not require authentication for the outgoing mail. I've unchecked the "authentication required" tickbox and saved the settings.
Somehow the phone automatically resets the Authentication setting and there I can't send email.
My question: how can I prevent the Desire from automatically place a checkmark next to "Authentication Required"?
The video quality is good in 720p HD but the sound is really terrible . I even can't hear it clearly , any tips for improving sound quality in camera video mode ?

I honestly don't know exactly how or when it was that I managed to do it, but I assume it must have been during the last couple of days when it was connected to my PC - I must have just deleted a folder by mistake. Schoolboy stuff really! If there is no way of getting the original HTC sounds back, does anyone know of a free/non-subscription service where I could source some alternatives? I just want a standard "ring ring" & "beep" rather than some sort of crazy frog shenanigans.
