HTC Incredible :: Default Ringtone And Notification Sounds
Jun 28, 2010My default ringtone and notification sound won't stay set after powering off. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Sprint HTC Hero :: Setting Ringtone/notification Sounds
Feb 6, 2010I have the zedge app and downloaded ringers and message tones, but when I set them as my defaults, I still get the hero ringer/notification sound instead. How can I stop my phone from doing that so the zedge ringer and notification sounds I choose stay?

Jun 11, 2010I haven't been able to hear notifications lately, the volume is up but nothing. My ringer for my phone works and I made sure the notification, ringer and media volumes are all set to high. The speaker is working because when I hit the volume rocker it makes a beep. I feel silly asking for this but it just stopped ringing and I don't know how to get it back.

Jun 17, 2010I have searched for this but can't seem to find an answer anywhere on the forums. I have a custom ringtone as my notification sound, and it is about 10 seconds long. However, when I receive a notification while I'm doing something else, or heck even if I receive it while just looking at my phone, I want to be able to hit a button and make the noise stop! I realize I have an email, text, whatever, so now I want the .mp3/sound to stop and not continue to play the duration of the clip!

May 3, 2010is there a way to turn off all of the notification sounds for email, calendar, and texts? There does not seem to be a global setting for things, and there's not individual settings for this, for example, with the calender, you can't turn off the sounds without turning off the on-screen pop-up reminder. Any apps for this I wonder.

May 6, 2010At work I have my phone in my pocket, on vibrate, quite a bit and a lot of times I don't feel the initial vibration. So I end up missing the message until I physically take the phone out and look to see if I have any messages. My Dare that I just upgraded from sent out a vibration every couple of minutes until I checked the phone and dismissed the notifications. Would love to find out if this is possible with the DI.

Mar 28, 2010I'd like to set a new default ringtone without using the ringtone picker. In other words, there is a certain ringtone that is already installed on my system, and I want to programmatically set it to be my default ringtone without any human interaction. The reason I want this is because every time I reboot my N-1, my previous default ringtone setting gets forgotten, and I am given another ringtone that I don't like. I want to set up an app that I can run manually (or better yet, to cause to automatically run upon startup) which will reset my default ringtone to the one that I like without my having to manually do this via the Settings.
The only examples I have found so far for doing this involve using the ringtone picker, but as far as I can tell, this requires human interaction, which I want to avoid.

But when I am in Settings for Notification Ringtones, I do not see the mp3 I added but only in Calling Ringtones. Why is this? I want to use the same ringtone for notifications too!.

I would like to clear the default for this so i can use custom ringtones again but cannot for the life of me find what default i need to clear to bring that dialogue back up to choose another option.
