When I try to send a picture message it just aomes up 'Pending' unless I send it to mysel!. I've phoned T Mobile and they don't seem to have an answer. Has anyone come across this problem or have a solution.

I recently ported my number from T-Mobile to O2. Now when texting, status reports always remain at "pending". Is this a phone issue or should I contact O2?It used to work, and then I called O2 to disable the auto USSD balance notification after every text. After that, texting Balance to get my balance stopped working too.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOk so I have fallen in love with this phone, coming from a blackberry, but have a HUGE problem..I can recieve picture messaging fine, BUT when I send to anyone who owns an iPHONE, and yes, it's the versions that are capable, they do not recieve it....I was able to send picture messages fine from my blackberry to ALL carriers, including iphones...what makes it worse is that I NEVER get an error message. Everything seems to go through so I never know they never recieved it until I follow up..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have come across a compelling problem with my Orange bill since getting my Desire. I set up a group in contacts and a number of times have attempted to send a group text. There are about 8 people in that group but when I pressed send I would get message pending.
Some members of the group would not receive anything whilst others would get a text hours later.
I tried a couple of more times last month then gave up.
This week my bill came with a 10 charge for photo messages, as if I would use this crap way of sending pics when I have access to email. All the group messages were charged at 25p per person.
To give Orange their due, they will reimburse me the money on goodwill but I certainly won't be trying the group thing again.
For some reasoon I can't send picture messages on my droid...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues sending picture messages using the messaging app. I get an error saying that I typed in an invalid address. I think that this is because its not resizing the images that I try to send.... When i use Handcent all works like it is supposed to but not when I use the default messaging application.

I can take them and post them to Facebook easily, but I can't e-mail or send a text message with a picture in it. View 8 Replies View RelatedIt works and all, but it's kinda weird. It's like the Droid has a diff way of putting together picture messages (like w/ .gif files and such). There's usually a pause, then it starts, but each transition is slow and then after it shows, you then get whatever messaged was typed in. My g/f sends me stuff from her LG Dare, and it's all put together as it should be. It's been this way for both the stock messenger and Handcent. Is there a preference option I need to tweak?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Motorola Droid RAZR and I am on PagePlusCellular and have been very happy up to this point. I bought the new phone after discovering that some work apps wouldn't work on my old phone because I couldn't upgrade the OS. I called PP to see if the phone was supported and I was told it wouldn't work on 4G but would if I could use 3G with it. Since I also needed a SIM card for it (another story), the local PP dealer flashed it and I have the 1X symbol displayed on screen. But I cannot send or receive picture texts-when I try I get "MMS needs to be enabled". And no 3G, just 1X. I have gone thru every setting I can find and it seems to be enabled. I went back to the dealer and was told all the settings are correct and I need to contact PP about it.
I got on live chat as I didn't want to wait on hold (and this is about the only problem I've had with PP) and was told that this phone isn't supported because it's 4G. I told them that a rep told me it was if I use 3G and I bought the phone based on their info. All they could do then is tell me to take it back to the dealer to re-flash it...
So it's been reflashed but no joy. I go to a WirelessToyz dealer who says the APN wasn't set. When I go to the settings the APN is greyed out.
Does anyone have pic text messaging issues? I get an error message "unable to send message. Retrying generic network failure"
I have handcent, but get the same error message with stock messaging app.
The only things I could find within the incredible forums was that it may be linked to a app bug, which that specific app I have never used, or this is a known HTC error which I can't confirm.
On my samsung moment, I want to send pictures. Is there a way to make the picture send vertically, instead or horizontally all the time?

In the Messaging app in 2.2 when I'm in a thread it shows a pic of me and a pic of the other person next to every text sent and received. In the 2.1 app it simply showed my name and the other persons name; no pic of us next to every text. Is there anyway to disable showing the pics in the 2.2 app? Really don't see the need to have a pic next to each text.

I can send pictures just fine, but when I receive them, the picture doesn't pop up in the text conversation like normal, it leaves a link to "download" the image. I click download and an error message pops up stating that the process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly and shuts down.

Can i record a simple voice message and send it via MMS? It was pretty simple to do with a cell phone...
I saw that the eris comes with a voice recorder, but i recorded a message and was not able to send it.

Also, when sending pictures via MMS, it always resizes them and obviously the person receiving doesn't get the same quality. I realize that sending via Gmail doesn't resize, but i send to other cell phones a lot.
I'm thinking the only fix is lowering the camera resolution? I think that lowering the resolution is still better than having it resized for the message. Has anyone tried lowering the resolution to a point that the picture does not need to be resized for MMS?
Same thing for Video messages.. can't even send them. Not sure if it's HAndcent, or the file is just to big

Close it and the home screen still shows a "1" on it as though we haven't read it. How do we set it so that once a message is read, its closed.

It seems anyone who I have as a friend on there is showing up in my contacts list, sometimes several times.It makes selecting a contact to send a text to a right mission. If I receive a SMS from Person 1, it shows up in the messaging app, if I reply to it, it orders the messages in a weird order.
EXAMPLE:
"Message received."
Person1: "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH"
then I reply, after the reply is sent ...it shows up like this..
ME: "REPLY TO BLAH BLAH BLAH"
Person 1 : "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH"
isn't it supposed to be ME after the PERSON1 and not before.
Loving the desire and android 2.2.
But there is one thing that is bugging me.
When opening messaging and viewing a message and then pressing the HOME button. And after wards launching the messaging app again it defaults to showing me the last sms I have seen.
So I would like that whenever I launch messaging it would always start in the view all messages.
The only solution I have found thus far is by using a task killer. Which would auto kill 'messages' when not in use.
So I installed Advanced Task Killer and set it to kill messaging when the screen is OFF. But it just does not work.
I've been using the Desire with Froyo for quite some time and have 2 problems with it:
1) When I go to people and press send message, the phone instead of composing a message my phone starts dialing that number.
2) In my Favorites even though I have selected a primary number to dial, the phone keeps calling a different one on the list which was set a long time ago.
On my Desire i have chompsms and the stock message app installed. When i receive a text it notifies me 2 times and opens up the message in the both apps. Is there anyway to uninstall the stock messaging app that comes with the desire?
View 1 Replies View RelatedQuick question - why won't the standard message widget (the "stack" of messages type) show any names, just numbers? The numbers are saved to my contacts etc etc and are on both the sim and phone.
Other than checking the numbers against my contacts or by the content I've no idea who's sending me messages.
Is it possible to show only mobile phone numbers in the messaging contacts section. I seem to get multiple versions of the same contact showing up depending on how much info I have for them - 1 for mobile, 1 for landline, 1 for email, but in the phonebook section, all this info shows up under 1 contact.
