For some reasoon I can't send picture messages on my droid...
I used to snap a pic on my Samsung Sway, was given the option to send in a message, then it resized and off it went. How do I snap a pic and send in a message on my incredible? I have the manual downloaded and printed all 206 pages and still don't understand the resizing.
View 14 Replies View RelatedToday i tried to do something that i used to do back in my Alias 2 days (regular cellphone), but couldn't.
Can i record a simple voice message and send it via MMS? It was pretty simple to do with a cell phone...
I saw that the eris comes with a voice recorder, but i recorded a message and was not able to send it.
Any ideas?
Also, when sending pictures via MMS, it always resizes them and obviously the person receiving doesn't get the same quality. I realize that sending via Gmail doesn't resize, but i send to other cell phones a lot.
I'm thinking the only fix is lowering the camera resolution? I think that lowering the resolution is still better than having it resized for the message. Has anyone tried lowering the resolution to a point that the picture does not need to be resized for MMS?
Same thing for Video messages.. can't even send them. Not sure if it's HAndcent, or the file is just to big
Does anyone have pic text messaging issues? I get an error message "unable to send message. Retrying generic network failure"
I have handcent, but get the same error message with stock messaging app.
The only things I could find within the incredible forums was that it may be linked to a app bug, which that specific app I have never used, or this is a known HTC error which I can't confirm.
On my samsung moment, I want to send pictures. Is there a way to make the picture send vertically, instead or horizontally all the time?

I recently bought a HTC Hero with sprint. i took a picture and tried to send it via text message..i receive error of " Message size limit reached...sorry, you cannot attach this your message" Also, i cannot view a picture message sent to me. i tried also saving it to my 4gb card but cannot find where to view the files in my sd card...
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't find a way to send a picture AND a sound (or audio clip) in a text/mms message. I can add one or the other, but not both.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues sending picture messages using the messaging app. I get an error saying that I typed in an invalid address. I think that this is because its not resizing the images that I try to send.... When i use Handcent all works like it is supposed to but not when I use the default messaging application.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody else have a problem with sending and receiving picture messages with the Droid Eris? I can take them and post them to Facebook easily, but I can't e-mail or send a text message with a picture in it. Also, when someone sends me a picture message, it shows an icon to download it, but then it always says it was unsuccessful.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt works and all, but it's kinda weird. It's like the Droid has a diff way of putting together picture messages (like w/ .gif files and such). There's usually a pause, then it starts, but each transition is slow and then after it shows, you then get whatever messaged was typed in. My g/f sends me stuff from her LG Dare, and it's all put together as it should be. It's been this way for both the stock messenger and Handcent. Is there a preference option I need to tweak?
View 11 Replies View RelatedIn the Messaging app in 2.2 when I'm in a thread it shows a pic of me and a pic of the other person next to every text sent and received. In the 2.1 app it simply showed my name and the other persons name; no pic of us next to every text. Is there anyway to disable showing the pics in the 2.2 app? Really don't see the need to have a pic next to each text.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am unable to send or receive/download MMS messages on my droid with neither Handcent nor factory installed messaging program. When i try to send/ download MMS, it just hangs (little icon keeps going in circles like it's working but never finishes, nor are the messages sent). It's not reception. It's not impatience ( it's been hanging for days sometimes).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my x a few days ago and have never had a smartphone (i'm coming from the Dare)...i was trying to send a picture in a text message today, and it sent it horizontal... i took the picture vertically...and when i attached it to my text message it sent it sideways. so i rotated the picture 90 degrees and sent it, and it was still sideways.... anyone know how to fix this? i take most of my pics vertically...and i don't want them posting to facebook or sent to my fam sideways!
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt probably is a stupid question to ask (once again, Nugget = techtarded), but how do I send a picture message? I usually message through Chomp, but I don't see a way to send a picture message.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to send a text message with three or more recipients, the messaging app does a force close. Anyone else get this or have a solution to the problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHi everyone, I snapped this photo of the Bay Bridge the other day from Treasure Island, San Francisco one of my first few days with the Droid. I was testing out the camera but I ended up putting the picture as my background. I could't believe how good it looked, especially how it meshes with app colors, so I wanted to share it. I own the rights to this photograph and it is free to use and distribute.

Also are there any apps out there that will let me download full length mp3's? And did I get a bad battery or does the HTC Eris battery only last a couple hours? Also my phone is an HTC droid eris. Oh and one last question i heard that the eris will be updated from android 1.5 to 2.0 Will that be a software update that I will be able to do with my 2 day old eris when The update comes out?
When I try to send a picture message it just aomes up 'Pending' unless I send it to mysel!. I've phoned T Mobile and they don't seem to have an answer. Has anyone come across this problem or have a solution.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so I have fallen in love with this phone, coming from a blackberry, but have a HUGE problem..I can recieve picture messaging fine, BUT when I send to anyone who owns an iPHONE, and yes, it's the versions that are capable, they do not recieve it....I was able to send picture messages fine from my blackberry to ALL carriers, including iphones...what makes it worse is that I NEVER get an error message. Everything seems to go through so I never know they never recieved it until I follow up..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't send picture messages or receive them, it's really irritating, every time someone sends me one it just says there was an error and constantly retrys to download until I have to delete the message, similar thing happens when I try and send a message, any solutions?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo whenever I receive a picture mail, it shows the option to download but the download always fails. Why is this and how can it be solved?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Motorola Droid RAZR and I am on PagePlusCellular and have been very happy up to this point. I bought the new phone after discovering that some work apps wouldn't work on my old phone because I couldn't upgrade the OS. I called PP to see if the phone was supported and I was told it wouldn't work on 4G but would if I could use 3G with it. Since I also needed a SIM card for it (another story), the local PP dealer flashed it and I have the 1X symbol displayed on screen. But I cannot send or receive picture texts-when I try I get "MMS needs to be enabled". And no 3G, just 1X. I have gone thru every setting I can find and it seems to be enabled. I went back to the dealer and was told all the settings are correct and I need to contact PP about it.
I got on live chat as I didn't want to wait on hold (and this is about the only problem I've had with PP) and was told that this phone isn't supported because it's 4G. I told them that a rep told me it was if I use 3G and I bought the phone based on their info. All they could do then is tell me to take it back to the dealer to re-flash it...
So it's been reflashed but no joy. I go to a WirelessToyz dealer who says the APN wasn't set. When I go to the settings the APN is greyed out.
I have the Moment with android and have had no problems with picture messaging until last week. I can send pictures just fine, but when I receive them, the picture doesn't pop up in the text conversation like normal, it leaves a link to "download" the image. I click download and an error message pops up stating that the process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly and shuts down.
View 8 Replies View Relatedwhen I was using my Omnia, I noticed that when sending text messages it was the smartest phone I'd ever used. On Verizon, if you write a text message longer than 160 characters, it won't send any more than that to a non-Verizon subscriber. The Omnia inherently split excessively long text messages into separate messages, instead of what normal phones do, by sending the whole thing and hoping the server splits it for you.
The Droid acts like a dumbphone with both the stock SMS app as well as Handcent. I want it to split messages when they are longer than 160 characters, because I have a lot of friends that aren't Verizon members - or worse yet that it doesn't send the whole thing, Google Voice users. Is there a text messaging app that doesn't have this issue of sending long text messages to non-verizon subscribers?
New user. New Droid X in hand. I have a text+talk plan with VZW, and none of the SMS messages I composed actually sent (I'd attach a screen shot, but ShootMe only seems to be designated for rooted devices). Is there something I'm missing, else I will call VZW. To recap, I went to my contacts, found the name, and next to their number I hit the message icon. I composed, hit send, and nothing. Now I see Xes next to the messages. Two of the recipients are also VZW customers.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi was receiving MMS with photo. anybody can tell me how to save the photo from messeging to phone memory card?? The picture in messeging can be only used for wallpaper n contact picture only. Appreciate your comment..
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo when I send someone a picture/video through messaging and they reply, there is a download button. When i touch that it says "downloading" for about 1 second and then a message pops up saying "Download of message Re: New Message from *friend's name* was unsuccessful." I have wi-fi and cell service so I don't know why it won't download. I'm assuming they are replying with text but either way nothing is downloading.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just installed motorola media link on to my computer and it is amazing. I think this is a must download for all Motorola owners. It allows you to easily download music, photos, and more either on your phone or onto your computer from your phone. It also allows you to create ring tones and send them to your phone. Its like itunes for the iphone.
