View 1 Replieshow y'all organize your music on the Eris. I have been just clicking and dragging from the computer to the SD card in a folder created "music." I would like to group all my songs into genres (blues, rock, etc.). The only way I've been able to do this is by adding songs to a playlist on the phone, which is way to time consuming. I have yet to sync my desktop w/ my computer. Would this make organizing any easier?

View 11 Replies View RelatedIm starting my first Android project so im still kind of n00b and not sure about how to organize some things to have a clean code :P
I have my first screen with a spinner and a button. When you click the button i catch the spinner selection and the app will move to a new screen (Depending on the spinner selection).
So now, i have 2 more .xml for the layout of the new screens, but i dont know if i must continue coding in the same Activitie/.java file, or if i should make a new Activitie and in that case, if i should create this new Activitie into another .java file os stay using the same..
Im not sure if i explained myself right xD. Anyway, if anyone need more info, just tell me and i will try to make it better.
It would interesting to see how people are organizing their desktop/home screen. I have read a few people's random forum posts but this might help some of us learn a new trick or tip.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI got my DINC and I love this phone. One issue I'd like some help with. How can I manage and organize my photos. I'd like to be able to create some albums and seperate my photos so I can find them easier rather than having to go through them all to find a single shot. I know albums can be created some how, becasue in the users manual there is a page that shows a screen shot of the phone. This screen shot has a list of albums that have been created.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have made a folder with shortcuts to direct dial. This way I can have my one touch favorite phone list.
How do I arrange the icons in the folder ? I was able to change the folder name, move icons into it, and delete icons from it. But can not find out how to move them around.
The X will hopefully be my first smartphone. I know it comes with 7 screens to fill up. That's a lot for some used to a feature phone. How are you Android/smartphone veterans going to organize your stuff?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've thought of starting to develop an application and one of its features is that it downloads some content (images, files, etc) and organize them into folders in accordance with site they were downloaded.
Well, the question is... How do Android organize your files? In Windows, for example, I could create some folders, one for each site, or one for each time period. But in Android, how does it work? Is there a system of folders like Windows? Or is there a totally different way to organize files?
When I open gallery I have folders like: Camera Pictures, Camera Videos, Camera Media, All Pictures, Downloads, and Pictures. I want 2 folders: one for pictures, and one for videos. any way to do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo this may be a silly question. Folders are great for organizing like-apps, like Games, Utilities, chat etc. I know how to rename folders but is there any way to organize apps once they're IN a folder....or can you only do it by the order they were dropped in there?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm working on an Android app and it's up to 17 classes. I want to start organizing the .java class files into a more intuitive layout.
Say I want to have a source code directory called "views". When I create that directory using Eclipse, it changes my package name to com.xyz to com.xyz.views.
Since this package name (com.xyz.views) is different than the rest of my app (com.xyz) is this going to cause me to do a lot of extra work to link those packages? Will this cause problems with the fact that Android Market looks at the package name and is more or less locked to the package name?
Is there a way to make folders to organize my photos better or maybe an app that will let me do that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedNow that we've had our phones for a few weeks, the Application list is probably growing quite a bit. I know mine is! I wonder, how do you all organize your applications? Do you just put a few frequently used icons on your home screen and left the rest in the drawer? Do you create folders for different categories (Games, Utils, Social, etc) and place apps in there? Do you just load up your 3 home screens (or more if you have a home replacement) with EVERYTHING from the drawer?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSeems to be such a simple thing, but I can't figure it out. I switched between thumbnail and list mode, tried setup in each one and don't see any options. In list most, I can tap and hold over the link to bring up options, but there is no option to delete or to move.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCan we organize all of our apps into folders in the app tray? I know that you can do it and have them displayed on the home page, but I want to do it on the app tray itself. Can I put all my shopping apps together, my sports apps together, etc.?
