Windows 7 (64 bit) Dell Desktop PC and my lovely new Sony Xperia Z1 trying to send files via Bluetooth rather than keep plugging and unplugging the USB cable and risk breaking the cover. well that was my plan anyway. The Dell didn't come with Bluetooth so I bought a wee plug-in USB Bluetooth unit. I have managed to copy a couple of files but it took ages to get it to connect properly and now it won't do it at all. There are 4 driver messages under hardware which all show problems with Bluetooth peripheral device and no drivers installed, but I can't find any anywhere?

I have an HTC Inspire 4g running Mustaavalkosta's unofficial Cyanogenmod 10.1 ROM. Everything works great, except my Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000, which is an HID Bluetooth keyboard (no SPP). I get a proper PIN exchange and it pairs with my phone successfully, but I can't actually type anything with the keyboard, and it does not appear in the Languages and Input section of the Settings app. The keyboard itself is good because I can use it with my laptop and an iPad.
I've tried apps like BlueInput, MyBlueCon, and Bluetooth keyboard easyconnect, but all fail to make a connection with my keyboard. In the case of BlueInput, I get a message that "this Android does not support Bluetooth HID."

I'm trying to pair my bluetooth keyboard, which worked perfectly under Gingerbread, but will not pair under ICS. Basically, the keyboard will not go into pairing mode until I give it a pin, and ICS won't give me the pin until the keyboard is pairing. Is there any way to tell ICS what pin to expect before trying to pair? This is the sequence I am doing:
1. Put keyboard in discoverable mode.
2. Select the keyboard in the bluetooth menu.
3. Type in a pin on the keyboard and hit enter.
4. A dialog comes up on the tablet telling me what pin to use to pair. (I have to type in the pin in the keyboard for this to come up)
5. Pairing fails after about 1/4 of a second.

I use a bluetooth keyboard to type papers on, and was wondering if it's possible to use it in say SNES9x+ES or Mupen64AE or emulators in general? I'm currently waiting on a replacement keyboard from Sony so I can't test my emulators with it, if they can be used for emulators.

I reecntly bought a Rapoo BT keyb (E6300), it is optimized for the Apple products therefore some keys do not behave as i wish with my Nexus S.
I'd like to find out how (as per title) remap the keys or at least find out Vendor and Product ID...
so, using this command from the terminal: cat /proc/bus/input/devices
I discovered that my KB has Vendor=099a Product=0500.
Now I'm gonna build a custom Keyboard layout, should i create a keyCharacterMap as well?
well, after some more digging, i think i won't need to make a KCM. Still i can't find a way to let my Keyb to use my keyboardlayout. According to catalog it still uses the generic.kl even if in the right directory a file with the keyboard name exists...

I connect my GNex via MHL to my TV. I also have a Nexus 7. Is there any possible way to use my N7 as a remote control/bluetooth keyboard to control my GNex? Run a VNC Server on the phone and a VNC Viewer on the tablet, but this is laggy.

I've got a cheap Speedlink bluetooth mouse from eBay and it works fine with a PC; it pairs up nicely with my Desire HD (running RCMix3d Runny v1.3 ROM) too.
Oddly however, the icon in the 'bluetooth settings' page is not of a mouse, it's an icon of a keyboard.
Pair it up and there's no mouse pointer; move the mouse to the right and the homescreen moves to the next screen - left and you go to the left screen.
Seems my mouse is recognised as a keyboard, oddly enough only emulating the arrow keys. When running Cyanogen 7, it was recognised as a mouse - so what's different here?
Is there anyway of jimmying Android to recognise my mouse as a mouse and not a keyboard?

Recently all my android devices think they are in Spain when I am at home in Toronto.
I think this was caused when I ran a location spoofing program on only one of my devices, one of the locations I set it to was Spain (among others).
I've tried clearing the data for the Network Location apps, changing the SSID on my router with no luck.
The only way it shows the correct location is when I go outside and run Google maps long enough to get a GPS fix. But when I go back inside I am back in Spain!
The devices this is affectingGalaxy Nexus with my google account
Nexus 7 with my google account
Galaxy S3 with my google account
Galaxy S2 without my google account

Does anyone know a good/working mini bluetooth keyboard (or even micro USB) that works with the Desire without a root. It would be good if it had a dock so it was "attached" to the keyboard, and excellent if it could be used to play games, e.g. SNESOID etc or Quake 3 etc. Micro USB might be better if such a thing exists due to the dodgy nature of the Desire's bluetooth.

If you are like me, you have been impatiently waiting for bluetooth support for keyboards / joysticks specifically the wii controller. Is it just me who wants this or what?I'm on the developer forums all the time and hardly see anyone mention this. All I know is that the nexus supported this feature, but the Evo doesn't. Seems that Sense UI screwed up this capability.HOWEVER, after installing android 2.2, with bluetooth fully functioning it seems that it still doesn't work which leads me to believe that the bluetooth HID profile is missing.

I was wondering if anyone has tried this combo. Can you plug your phone up to these three things and pop it to a larger screen and use a mouse and keyboard? It would be pretty cool if you could... I see a lot of fun possibilities with that type of setup.

I have just taken delivery of an Android ADP2, which I plan to use as a development platform, as well as my personal phone. I have played a bit with the on-screen keyboard and have determined that some designer must have much smaller fingers than me, so I am in the market for a keyboard/mouse that works over Bluetooth.

I boot my Acer Iconia Tab A200 into fastboot mode (robot lying down and RED exclamation mark over it). I plug it into my Windows 7 (64bit) desktop computer with SDK installed, and from the directory with fastboot.exe I type FASTBOOT DEVICES but the device is not being seen, it just goes back to the prompt, like the command executed but didn't do anything. I assume this is because the drivers aren't installed. But I don't know how to install the "adb drivers".

I know the Dell Streak is noted to have the ability to use a Bluetooth keyboard with it. And a mouse, I think? Will you be able to use a bluetooth keyboard with the Captivate? mouse? It runs the 3.0 bluetooth, would that be an issue? Can 2.0 bluetooth devices work with 3.0?

I'm trying to use the SWM and when I have everything all set up it tells me I have no device set up. I looked to see if I could find drivers for me Xperia X10 and all I kept getting linked to was the sony PC companion that apparently had those drivers installed. When I installed it and did all the set up stuff it still wouldn't recognize my phone other than as a removable disk. I have the USB debugging turned on, .Net framework installed, and supposed the drives yet it still won't read my phone.

I take the CyanogenMod 10.3 for my Alcatel OT995, it works fine on my device, but I can't use adb command line neither other features using adb.exe ! I can only access to storage mass device, so I think I have a problem with the USB drivers which connect ADB command to my phone. I can add that before I've installed this Rom on the device, I've installed many drivers on the PC :
Firstly I installed the owner's driver provided by Alcatel in the AlcatelAndroidManager.exe package,
secondly I installed the Google USB drivers provided because I'm using Android Virtual Devices (AVD Manager) to do some developping works. I used to launch adb with "adb start-server" so it's still working, I don't obtain any device in the list with "adb devices", why don't I get it ?
I've realized some cleaning actions : I uninstalled the USB drivers of Alcatel's software, I uninstall the Google USB driver , to finish I reboot the PC but it don't changed anything I tried to apply this (well explained) post without any success :URL.... I can't find "Android devices" category, neither "Usb Adb" entry... so my device is not recognized in the "Settings Panel". However the storage mass device appears as a volume named "

I cannot find out how to add drivers to a ROM
I don't have a backup of the stock ROM, however i have a ROM in which everything apart from WiFi works ( 5 point touch screen, all hardware buttons, sound, screen)
This Q88 ROM is downloaded from [URL] .....
I tried the cyanogenmod ROM from ANONFBI [URL] ..... and nothing works apart from the wifi driver no touch, no volume buttons
I would like to extract the drivers from the q88 rom and add them to the cyanogenmod rom.
I've never been able to get the camera working its the single front camera it doesn't bother me its not very good
I tried this thread [URL] .....
However when i load a driver the ported PORTED JB-4.1.1 rom doesn't boot up
I see it has camera drivers but i dont know how to install them
I have attached a LSMOD from the q88 rom

Is it ever so possible for the android OS to make it self look like a mouse/keyboard through bluetooth to allow remote control of a computer without having to have any HOST/SERVER software running on the computer being controlled? If this is possible, that means many devices like the PS3 and shi* would be able to be remote controlled by an android phone no matter what because bluetooth mice and keyboard are accepted by many devices.
