if anyone has difficulty playing games e.g. drving games, dont know if its something i'm doing wrong, but I can turn left or right, i.e. the car keeps steering to the left and tilting the phone isn't working. It is something I have not setup or am I doing it all wrong

Can anyone help, I have been looking up this problem for hours now and have come up with no answers... My lock on phone randomly works. Sometimes I turn on phone and its there and sometimes its not. I have phone set for a pattern lock and to set up after 5 minutes.I just turn my desire on sometimes by pressie the top bottom and the finger slide thingy..isn't even there.This can be after 10 minutes or 3 hours no difference.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi recently bought an evo 4g ( great phone ! ) and i have been looking at the forums on how to properly get it to work. I downloaded the snesnoid lite and androzip. Then i downloaded the rom ( that i have ;p) off a couple of sites. Everytime i do download the rom, it ends up as a " .bin" file. Is this uncommon? im not sure as wheither it's the site or just a setting in my phone thats making it a bin file.

This draws the image right where it would be expected in both normal and high density resolution screens on Android 1.6 however on 2.2 it seems to ignore the layout_marginBottom and always draw the image aligned all the way at the bottom. Has anyone seen this before, and if so do you know a fix?

When I include <style> elements from /res/values/styles.xml the Layout designer/preview within Eclipse doesn't update with these styles, but shows as it would be without any styles.Can anyone confirm this issue? If so, Is there a way I can fix this myself easily? If not, where's the appropriate place to sumbit a bug report?

I tried to install in 2 different devices ( Galaxy S II and Droid Razr ) and in the both cases have an FC.
i have is the desire on wifi does not work properly, i get good signal (router in same room, d-link 615 with 50Mb connection) some sites work bbc.co.uk works like normal but when i brows other sites, facebook, talk.maemo, quidco, ebay.. u get the idea it does not load or takes ages , we are talking mintues 1-3 mins. this applies to apps too, some times it updates and some times it does not. now for the funny thing. when i'm one floor below the router location everything works. Now i have changed channels and security settings with no joy, all other device on the same router work fine, nokia n80, n900, ps3, netbook and main PC wired.
its bugging me, dunno if i should take the handset for replacement. On 3G it works fine, actually works GREAT! on voda (got the phone simfree from CPW) Oh router is using Firmware: DD-WRT. does desire have multi notifcation LED or just green and orange?
I've had an HTC Desire on Orange in the UK for about 6 weeks and it is having persistent problem. Firstly despite having a strong 4-bar out of 4 signal, online services and the internet do not work at all when a 3G signal is being received (e.g. news, weather, all widgets, internet, email etc).Calls and texts do work however with a 3G signal.But when a 3g+ signal (HSDPA) is being received, all internet services as above work fine.However, when a 3+ signal is being received, the phone does not make or receive calls or text messages, and often fails to send texts. Calls I make immediately shut down (bleep + �call ended�), and incoming calls from other people go straight to answerphone. Also often when turning the data connection on/off, it freezes and has to be rebooted, and turning airplane setting on and off does not fix the problem.
I have also tried the different network settings (GSM, WCDMA, auto, etc). �GSM� sends and receives calls and texts but doesn�t work (or is incredibly slow) with internet, and �auto� and �WCDMA only� show the problems as above.I don't think this is a network/coverage issues as, as I have seen many people reporting these same issues on other networks and in other parts of the UK, and I have read that other people are having to manually turn off HSDPA to be able to make calls (using an app?). Even if I can stop HSDPA from connecting to make sure the phone works, I still can�t use the internet at all on 3g � even GSM works better!
Finally, when I connect to a bluetooth device (e.g. car and headphones) the phone will connect briefly, and then randomly disconnect. I have also seen this issue reported elsewhere.I very much like the phone and don't want to get rid of it, but these problems are making the phone unuseable.Also I don't know if I should be contacting HTC or Orange about this. Will the upcoming Android 2.2 fix these problems?Anyone know how to fix this or if I need a new handset? Are there any apps that can help? Also does the Nexus One have these problems and are they fixed by Froyo?
After working fine for months I've just noticed that phone to ms outlook sync of calendar is not working. It started a few days ago but I can't be specific when.Pc to phone of calendar is fine, contacts sync fine both ways.I debranded from Vodafone and went to Froyo 10 days ago.Could this be the cause?Just installed the latest sync 2.0.33 from HTC - no change.It's a pain because I started using the phone to make work appointments, fortunately spotting the problems before any real damage was done with clients.Has anyone else come across this and if so found a fix?
View 11 Replies View RelatedDisclaimer: I've started a new thread as I felt this was distinct enough from 2.2 feedback and different from a similar thread.I upgraded to 2.2 today, did it over my mobile H connection and it all worked fine, no problems to report.Got home and turned the wi-fi on and while it will see all the surround access points, included mine, it won't actually connect to mine. When I go right into the settings and look at what's happening it appears to be unable to get past 'Obtaining Address.Nothing has changed on my wireless setup from this morning when 2.1 connected fine.I've rebooted both the router and the phone and it still doesn't connect. All i've not done yet is a factory reset on the phone, but to be honest i'm loathe to do that unless it's completely necessary.Strangely the wi-fi hotspot feature on the phone is working fine.Can someone please help, this is a major issue for me.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just upgraded my Desire this morning, everything works except wifi, the update went smooth without any problem, once the update was done it started up fine, only thing i noticed was the Wifi didnt work, In Setting - Wireless network, it say ?unable to start Wi-Fi? under Wi-Fi.

Software number; 1.21.405.2
One more thing i have noticed in setting-about phone-hardware information-under wi-fi mac address is unavailable. Whereas before upgrading it has a wifi mac address which i had noted down. Is it a driver issue? If yes how can i fix it.
I have so far found two bugs in Galaxo 1.6.3:
a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
I updated my unbranded desire to FroYo, and now I really wish I hadn't. Anything that requires data not Working as previously. My email is no longer push - I have to go in and manually refresh - which takes at least 5 minutes, and in the case of my exchange email, usually results in a sync error. Twidroyd, Twitter, Peep, Facebook, all timeout whenever I want to refresh them; I may get one proper update a day, but the rest of the time, nada.
Internet is so slow now, I just give up half the time. WiFi flickers on and off, even though it's set to on all the time. Anyone got any ideas of stuff I can check, or whether I can un update - I love the aps2sd and stuff, but it's bricked the rest of my phone. It's getting to the point where I'm actually starting to dislike the phone because it just doesn't work.
Been like it for 2 weeks now, when i turn my desire on its side to horizontal the screen does not change it use to then one day didnt. its not the new firmware i know this because it was doing this before i updated. anyone els experiencing this and do you have a fix? im hoping the new 2.2 might fix it but can not see it happening tbh.

(WIFI does) the weird thing is: When i have my phone in my pocket or on the table and my screen is off, it recieves gprs. But when i turn my screen on the gprs turns into 3g, then in HSPA and then it disappears. This takes about 5 seconds or less..
When i put my simcard in my old iphone 3g the internet works fine, so that means its my phone to blame and not the network
I have a Parrot bluetooth kit in my car that is supposed to sync all the contacts and have phone audio through car speakers worked fine with my old g1 so i know its not the car kit.
none of phones contacts sync with the car kit and after it has been connected and paired to phone audio for about 5 minutes it stays paired but unconnected meaning it doesn't work via the car audio and just rings as normal! why it disconnects itself
Just have a new htc desire on orange.I can't believe it doesn't even have the option to use the LED light when using the videocam.This is such a great feature when you are out in a bar, pub, or club or just outside at night. I have an old sony and nokia and they both have the feature and I have loads of great vids because of it.I have spent hours searching for apps that might make the LED light next to the camera work but there doesn't seem to be one. This means if you are using the phone as a light you have to use the screen like a numpty and not the powerful led. Should have gone for the xperia as my friend has it and it has this feature.
View 6 Replies View Relatedwhen i first got my HTC Desire i set it up with my google account which i use for everything, gmail,calendar etc. everything worked fine until i went to the market place, i couldn't download anything, it just kept saying download failed please try again this really annoyed me so i did factory reset twice but still the same problem. so the i reset again and in setup this time i choose to make a new google account instead of using my current one, and when it was all done, yup you guessed it, the market place worked! anyone any ideas why this is like this and why i couldnt use my original account?
