The issue is with the stock sms app that comes with Android, recently it's been displaying the sms' in the wrong order, for example, this is how the convo went: Me Her Me Her Me Her etc. as one should expect, but it turned out like this: Me Me Her Me Her Her Her. It's not threading the messages correctly, anyone else experiencing this issue?

i think this is due to the timestamp on the 3rd parties phone being a minute or so out.
I'm using a desire, which is fantastic but I've got one issue. Using the default music player - just called 'Music' when I play an album the tracks seem to play in a random order. The player seems to be reading tags properly , correct track names and artwork etc and if I look at a tracks properties in the player software I can see that it is reading track number info. I don't know if there is a setting I have got wrong but it would be great to get songs playing in right order. Other than this the Desire is great.

I´ve searched on the internet for this issue and i think it is not possible to have a direct connection between the mysql database and the android application. (Is this right?)
So my question is the following: How can i have access in the android application to the mysql database in order to display some of the data?
Sometimes I'll reply to a text message and my reply will appear above the one I just received. Somehow it gets out of order. Is there a way to fix this? Installed handcent and the order of the messages are fine it just occurs on the stock app but I much prefer the stock app.

Whenever I click the "Caches Nearby" button, it displays "Sorry, c:geo failed to download caches because of wrong login informations."
I have since been back to the geocaching website, have double-checked my credentials and re-entered my username and password into c:geo, but to no avail.
I have tried the default music player that is installed with the Droid-X. I've also bought the bTunes player and installed the MixZing player (free version). What is wrong that, by default, all list the tracks of an album in alphabetical order? At least bTunes will let you optionally sort by original track order (although the way given by bTunes is counter-intuitive and you have to start playing a track before you can sort).
By default, all albums should display in original track order. I suppose that for those who have difficulty reading, perhaps an option to list tracks in alphabetical order might be in order for ADA compliance or something. Otherwise, when I browse one of my albums, I want to see it in the order that the original artist intended.
Im trying to do some testing with a QVGA emulator and I find that it looks for an image resource in the mentioned order.
drawable-mdpi 1st
drawable-hdpi 2nd
drawable-ldpi 3rd (it does get found only after i change the name of the image in the other two dirs for testing)
I would expect it to be ldpi first.
When running other emulators (HVGA and WVGA) they use their appropriate drawable dirs... its only QVGA. The only code that I see could affect this is here (based on the docs)
I have tested this with a 2.0 emulator and a 1.6, i get the same result.
My dad just got a Fascinate over the weekend. (I have the Captivate).When he enters a new contact, it displays Firstname, Lastname. All of his contacts are displayed that way. On the Fascinate, how do you change the display order to Lastname, Firstname? I know how to do it on my Captivate.can't find the option on the Fascinate.

For example, type "translate" and the user will see all the apps called "translate" before the "Google Translate" result (which is by far the most downloaded translate app). Now, this no longer happens. If you type "translate" the first result is "Google Translate" (and no preference is given to exact matches).

View 6 Replies View RelatedSorry for the double thread but no one has replied to this in the G2 section, hoping that this issue carries over to the Hero and someone can help/advise I've had this problem multiple times now. I'll click on messages for example and it will open up something else I had open hours ago like gallery or my outlook email exchange. I close the incorrect program with the back key or the home key and try again and it repeatedly does it. :/ I'm starting to think I have a dodgy handset because no one else seems to be having this problem.Am I closing programs wrong in the first place? I use the home key to close them most of the time.Anyone else had this glitch?

The only reason google gives me is this: You canceled this order. Reason: Other (describe below) Message sent to customer: Cancellation requested from phone.

Is there a file within the rooted Android system that can be edited to change the order of the application while booting up the device?
For example:
After you Flash the ROM, if you have installed Application "A" the Application "B" ..."C"...etc.
When the device is booting, some times you find that Application "C" is loaded before Application "A".
What i need is:
Application "A" to be always loaded FIRST then "C" then "B .......etc...
I tried to check "init.rc" and some others without success...

But in the market it is showing up as 7.02mb. I'm now getting comments that that app is too big and I feel people may not purchase it if they think it will take up 7mb of space.

When you text back and forth you get all these messages in like a chat form following the order of the conversation but sometimes i would all get my messages in a cluster while the response of my friend would be thrown somewhere in the beginning or at the end. I have no problem with sending and receiving but they sometimes don't come in the right order. I don't know if i have explained myself well or if you guys can see my problem.

Person A then asked why I'd sent them a confusing sms. It was the one for Person B, Here's the kicker ... the sms that went to the wrong place, still appears in the correct person's message thread. ie it appears in the list of person B's messages, instead of person A who actually received it When I select the details of the sms, it shows the number of the person it actually went to, and no that number's not on the contact details of both people.This is pretty crappy. Some of the smses I send are quite personal, some are quite formal. I can't have them going to the wrong people, it might cause severe issuesAlthough I can't find anything about this on the HTC Desire forum, there are posts about on other Android forums going back to earlier in the year!This is a sneaky issue. How do *you* know all your messages have gone to the right people? You only find out if people tell you.
