Oct 23, 2010I add a contact on my EVO and it does not show up when I log into my gmail account online from my PC. I even logged out of my account on-line - no go. What the heck am I doing wrong?
I checked my phone and under the Sync settings the contacts and Gmail is checked.

Jul 7, 2010I've just released an update to my app and the apk file is 3.5mb on my system. It is reported as 3.5mb in the developer console. But in the market it is showing up as 7.02mb. I'm now getting comments that that app is too big and I feel people may not purchase it if they think it will take up 7mb of space.

Nov 27, 2009Sorry for the double thread but no one has replied to this in the G2 section, hoping that this issue carries over to the Hero and someone can help/advise I've had this problem multiple times now. I'll click on messages for example and it will open up something else I had open hours ago like gallery or my outlook email exchange. I close the incorrect program with the back key or the home key and try again and it repeatedly does it. :/ I'm starting to think I have a dodgy handset because no one else seems to be having this problem.Am I closing programs wrong in the first place? I use the home key to close them most of the time.Anyone else had this glitch?

Oct 27, 2010i'm trying to add a 2nd gmail account through the gmail app. it goes through the entire process, goes to the sync page and allows me to select what i wish to sync up then gives me a confirmation that the account has been added but when i go to the gmail app and check accounts it still only lists the 1 original account. i've tried powering the phone off and restarting - also added the account via HTC email app and deleted the 2nd account via HTC email app just in case it was conflicting there

When I try to add another account, it seems to try setting up the account, and then returns the following error: "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." I have tried multiple times and always get the same error. Data is always turned on and I have a good signal.

2. can you change the notifcation led light for the k9 app? currently it blinks purple when an email comes in and I cant seem to change it like I can with hancent or phone calls.

May 14, 2010Why will the gmail app not empty the trash folder? If I delete an email on the phone and then switch to the trash folder my emails are there. I then select them all again to delete as you would expect. Yet each time I reload the trash folder all the deleted emails are still there. I have my Google apps email configured through the regular email app and set to push my email, but it doesn't actually push. I thought I'd try it with the GMail app, but I can't get it set up. When I try to configure it as a Google account, it says it "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" even though my data signal is fine. This happens both on 3G and WiFi.
I had read to add the account as a Google account, using my full username@mydomain.com as the login and my password, so that's what I've been trying. I can't find anything that works for me on here, and the stuff on Google is really outdated and just sends me to the mobile website.

I went through the stickies and looked at how I can protect myself from Malware, etc. I think I know the basics. I apologize if I sound silly, this is my first Android phone and the reason why I am getting it is because of the awesome reviews.
