Has anybody ordered form these and recieved the phone. I am considering going with them and cancelling my MPD order. I have seen a few posts of people placing orders but none of them actually recieving them. So has anybody got one from them or does anybody know if the have stock.

I canceled all the updates that the phone was scheduled to get during activation, including the PRL update, in hopes of being able to root the phone. Should i not have canceled these initial updates. If they don't interfere with root, is there anything I can do to reactivate these updates?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought an evo last friday (june 4th) and received it Monday June 7th, and now a week later i would like to return it because of the light leakage problem im having at the bottom of my screen. my question is, i came from t-mobile, and ported my number and with that had to pay 100$ ETF, what would happen? as in, if i cancel my service, would i go back to tmobile with the same number and the ETF would be revoked? or what would happen exactly?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the forum and I'm hoping someone can help me out. My BH2 is stock not hacked or anything and the first time I had it, I used the USB cable to transfer songs onto my SD card. Now when I tried it again, I connected the USB and it's in charging mode and I went into the notification menu to mount the SD card, it says preparing external SD card but then it stops and does not connect to my PC. Also the PC cannot detect any device connected to it.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI really appreciate the threaded messages in android phones but i have a strange experience with it once in a while. When you text back and forth you get all these messages in like a chat form following the order of the conversation but sometimes i would all get my messages in a cluster while the response of my friend would be thrown somewhere in the beginning or at the end. I have no problem with sending and receiving but they sometimes don't come in the right order. I don't know if i have explained myself well or if you guys can see my problem.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI do like using the predictive text on my desire, i find it much easier, one question i have though, is there anyway to change the order in which the phone gives suggestions, so if it always predicts a certain word as the 2nd option, is there anyway to make that word always the first option? for instance if i type they, which i do a lot, view always is the first option, it would be so much more useful for me to be able to set certain words as the first prediction.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have now got Genres working in the Music player on my Desire but have hit a new problem. Track Order.
All the tracks in the folders on my SD card have track numbers, copied from the PC folders. This means that when I play an album on my PC it plays in the track order; essential for symphonies!
However in the Desire Music player tracks are sorted alphabetically; Astro shows me that the track numbers are there as part of the file name. I do not wish to created over 100 playlists.
Is there a way to get the Music player to sort tracks by track order?
I have tried using Better Cut and Folder Organiser in order to change the icons on my HTC Desire. However, when I try and do this for Messaging, Email or People application, it always reverts back to the standard HTC icon.
How have other people got round this? Or is this just a problem I am experiencing? I am un-rooted.
I got my desire just a few weeks back and the phone is the best one i used till now...Better than the iphone..But the sms threaded view in my phone is not being stored in order for some contacts. The order of the messages stored is not as it should be...my sent message(First sent) is stored after the received one(later received)..I have tried putting my own time instead of the automatic network time still the problem continues..
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm using a desire, which is fantastic but I've got one issue. Using the default music player - just called 'Music' when I play an album the tracks seem to play in a random order. The player seems to be reading tags properly , correct track names and artwork etc and if I look at a tracks properties in the player software I can see that it is reading track number info. I don't know if there is a setting I have got wrong but it would be great to get songs playing in right order. Other than this the Desire is great.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe issue is with the stock sms app that comes with Android, recently it's been displaying the sms' in the wrong order, for example, this is how the convo went: Me Her Me Her Me Her etc. as one should expect, but it turned out like this: Me Me Her Me Her Her Her. It's not threading the messages correctly, anyone else experiencing this issue?

If you start playing by quick-pressing the album, it shows you the list of songs. If tagged correctly, this list is in correct song order, and will play the album in order from whichever song you select to start from. If not tagged correctly, it shows in alphabetical order.
So far, so good.. can't complain... BUT...
If you start playing an album by long-pressing it and selecting "Play", it plays it alphabetically, regardless of the status of the tagging.
Has anyone been able to order an EVO online. It seems as soon as I get to the checkout it says that my credit card is not valid. Anyone else getting this issue. I checked and all the info is correct.

I don't want to extend my contract so I told the guy I wanted to buy it at retail price and they told me I couldn't! They said I need to get a new line in order to preorder. WTH. Get a "Everything data family" plan
Get 3 new EVOs
Activate only 1 EVO, other 2 family members are non-technical, couldn't care less about gadgets and want to keep their old phones they know how to use
Sell 2 brand new in-box EVOs on ebay for about $500 each (that price might go down as supply increases, but still should be a nice profit over the $199 I'll pay for the phones)
De-activate the $10/mo 4G surcharge on the other 2 lines
Of course I'll be committed to a 2-year contract on the "Everything data family" plan and the other 2 lines will make minimal use of the data, but it's still a lot cheaper to do it this way than to create a new individual plan for the EVO and keep the basic family plan for the other 2 phones.
I am using the bookmarks widget, list view. I like it but would like to change the order the bookmarks appear. I did not any options for doing so. Is there a way to do this?

View 21 Replies View RelatedThis is why I hate buying anything at Radio Shack, they pretty much make the majority of their people act like used car salesman. I went in and said I wanted to pre order the Evo to which the sales clerk tried to tell me I should get the iPhone 3gs. Seriously dude? So then I explain why I don't want an iPhone and the reasons I want the Evo. Listing multiple reasons making it obvious I have done my research and am not a n00b around phones. So what does this guy do? He asks me if I've seen a picture of the phone...now this was done because he was actually trying to be helpful and explain the size. But duh of course I've seen the phone if I know that much about it. I was even able to complete the sentence he was making about it being the size of the HD2. So anyways after trying to talk me out of it and then asking me those questions, he then tells me how he got to play with one the other day and it was amazing. Now if it was so amazing why were you trying to talk me out of it?
This leads me to another point. I then asked how the pre orders were going. At first he said they were great, then made some back handed comment about Best Buy doing better because they get more people. Which on one hand is probably true, but maybe it's because when you walk in you aren't upselled down your throat to buy every little thing in the store or told you should get something you don't want. I am dreading having to go in and for them to convince me I need some added on warranty through them when I already have insurance through Sprint. Then the guy asks my girlfriend (who has an iPhone) where she got her iPhone. She tells him the AT&T store, and then guilts her about it. WTF? Why do you think we went to the AT&T store? Because she is with AT&T. When I need stuff done for a existing phone with the company I am on I go to the Sprint store, not Radio Shack AKA The Shack AKA Wanted to sound hip so we copied KFC but it's not working.
The worst part of all of this, is this guy was just genuinely trying to do his job, which is a problem with management and the chain all together. They put so much pressure on these guys to "sell sell sell" that they end up scaring off customers. Of course this one incident is not indicitive of all Radio Shacks and I'm sure there are good people, in fact I had a good experience buying an HD Reciever there for an old T.V. The employee was nice and actually stopped me from buying a more expensive unit, then because he had to try to get me to do the warranty, he then whispered about how I didn't need it so I should just say no. That actually made tell a friend to go get the same one at Radio Shack that I had. However when someone asks about buying a Evo my first instinct will be to go to Best Buy or Sprint.
Ok Rant over. Now the numerous edits to correct my sloppy typing because I'm at the beach and too lazy to look it over.
I also should add I asked about the mini HDMI cable for the 20$ accessory since he kept shoving that down my throat as to why I was smart to pick Radio Shack (I wanted to tell him the truth that I was afraid Best Buy was out of pre orders). He said they didn't have them but would. I then mentioned how I probably wouldn't buy one there since the official ones would be like 30 dollars and I could get one online for 8. His response was it was practically the same price since I got 20 bucks free. Fair enough, but still not gonna happen dude. I assured him I would spend the 20 bucks and he needn't worry, but the HDMI cable was not in my future through Radio Shack.
I called tech support because of the numerous issues I've been having with my Inc (sound issues, in call sound dropping out with call still in progress, pink screen, unresponsive screen, weird lock ups, etc.).They told me I wouldn't get a replacement until July 19.I finally told her to order it but after much work, the system wouldn't let her order it at all.She got really flustered and finally got tired of messing with it and transferred me to tech support.Fortunately, I was transferred to a really helpful tech who really understanding.She also tried unsuccessfully to order it.She out the next two days but is having a coworker follow up and she will continue to help me sort it out if it isn't already by Wednesday.So we'll see what happens.One way or another she's promised to get me a working phone though I don't know if it will be an Inc.Just thought folks might find it interesting that at the moment, it can't be ordered internally.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to change the order of songs of playlists created in my Android [Samsung Galaxy S / Vibrant], but can't figure out how to do it. I've figured out how to create playlists and delete duplicates. I can delete songs from a playlist, but if I just want to move them up, so far no luck. [I'm trying the free version of MixZing player since the std. player says there's not room in my music database to show me the artists in my collection, but that's a different problem. I suppose there's a chance that upgrading MixZing might solve this problem, but I doubt it.
