Jan 10, 2010What happens on the Nexus when you want to enter text into a bubble on a web page or in the calender app while in landscape mode?On the Droid, if I'm in Calender, and I add a new event and use the virtual keyboard in landscape mode, the only way to see what the box actually is and what the next box will be, is to use the physical keyboard.If I'm using the virtual keyboard, I just get a box, and a key that says "next" to the right.It makes entering data more difficult (you're not sure what field you're filling out and what the next field will be).I'm one of the guys that was waiting for the Passion and got the Droid because I had to switch to Verizon.The way the Android OS seems to be setup, a physical keyboard almost seems necessary to make certain tasks easier.

Sep 19, 2010Has anyone else seen this? Inputting things into short fields, like phone numbers, usernames, and emails is fine, but entering text into larger fields is extremely laggy. I wanted to do this post from my phone a little while ago, but it was like the keyboard was under water as I typed at normal speed...like it couldn't keep up with me at all. I could actually stop typing and watch one letter pop up every second until it had cought up with the typing I had just done.
Tapping out SMS's or emails is fine, it just seems to be the large text fields (like the one I'm using right now on my PC) that give the phone trouble...I'm on an EVO with stock 2.2 and multi-touch keyboard (Droid X).

Aug 31, 2010I want to insert a constant string into an EditText by the press of a button. The string should be inserted at the current position in the EditText.
If I use EditText.append the text gets inserted at the end of the EditText.
How can I do that? I couldn't find a suitable method.
HTC Desire :: Letters Insert By Itself
Jun 29, 2010Probably as many others i decided to move on from i phone platform to android and bought a new Desire 2 days ago and trying to catch up with it. I am generally very impressed with the device except 1 critical issue I'm having: When typing very fast in the keyboard, the keyboard gets lost completely, i am very fast typing person and do a lot of emails I'm text etc. I can see when typing that random letters kick in the text. I did a test by fast typing letters A-L to see exactly and a random latter like G, F being inserted without my interaction while I'm pressing only A and L. This is mostly happening in vertical mode. Landscape is much better Can someone tell me what is going on please? I did calibration many times and no result. I downloaded keyboards from the Market - nothing. I goggled the web for something - nothing there. Has some came across this issue? it is so frustrating and if i don't find solution how to fix it i will have to return it to a shop.

Sep 29, 2010My HTC Desire was running well but I've developed a really irritating issue which seems to have started since the Froyo update (O2). Quite often when I send text/sms messages I get the Unable To Send error warning in the top left of the main screen. At first I was hitting the Resend option all the time but it keeps coming back and I noticed that if I check my text messages All Messages box then the message has actually been sent, yet the Unable to Send message persists until I use the Clear option. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?
