This means anyone who picks up your phone can see your email with one touch. Is there a way to require password authentication each time the application is launched?

I signed out from hangouts from my phone, it does sign me out from gtalk, but after sometime i guess some application is running and changing it to "online" again.

I notice that sometimes when I leave my PC and go for lunch or something and someone sends me a gtalk message, I don't get it on my phone. Only after checking my chat history in gmail do I see it. This sometimes happens even after I shut down my PC if the user sends a message right after I do so.

Jun 10, 2010I am unable to use Gtalk, gmail, Maps, Market, Email (all pre installed) using GPRS/EDGE (Vodafone Live) on my Milestone. But All of these works with Wi-Fi connection. I installed Meeboo Messanger, this is also not working with GPRS/EDGE.
I called Motorola Customer care, they are saying that I have to take a DataPlan from Vodafone and should ask Vodafone to activate all GPRS/EDGE settings on my mobile. So I took a DataPlan (200 Rs. 100 MB), Vodafone People are saying that all available setting are already activated on my cell. But I am still unable to use any of them above. Every time no network connection found error is coming.

Apr 24, 2012My droid razr asks for my password to my home wifi every time i go out of range and then come back and try to connect again. Using netgear wnr2000 with wpa. If i input my password and press connect, it lets me use wifi just fine. Updated netgear to latest firmware last night and browsed through all settings, but didn't see anything that might make a difference. Still does it today. Even just going out in the yard and back, have to re-enter pass if i got out of range. Doesn't happen with any other devices i use... laptops, other phones. Even reserved the ip that my phone currently had on the netgear for the phone.

Aug 20, 2010For a few real and a few imagined problems yesterday I went on-line and changed my gmail password. Then I tried to find on my X where to update the new password. After looking in what I thought was everywhere I called tech support and they said it was hard coded. I would need to "wipe" the phone and start fresh. Some words about lost data as well.
He suggested tring to get back to the original password which gmail allowed without resetting a few more times. After thinking about this though, there are more than a few good reasons to change passwords and this seems a bit on the dumb side to me.
Was he wrong or is the OS wrong to have this hard wired? Since Google runs this whole thing doesn't it seem like they should make it a tad more user friendly if that is the case?
HTC Hero :: Gmail/mail App Force Password?

1) I have been using the gmail app that came with my hero,and was wondering,
is there anyway I can FORCE a password/login page?
I am a little iffy about someone else having the opportunity to view my personal email quite easily just by clicking the app.
2) I was playing around with the Mail app that came with my hero and logged in to my gmail, so now anytime I click on the mail widget,it immediately pulls up my gmail.
Is there anyway to dis-associate my gmail with the Mail app? I tried going under settings> applications> manage applications> Mail, but alas, I couldn't find a way to erase the info.

Jun 21, 2010GF picked up LG Ally, verizon rep transferred her contacts from her previous phone to the Ally - all was fine. A day later she needed to change her gmail password, which she did - the phone complained about a sync error, asked for her new password and gmail sync worked again. (So far the same as my Inc). After changing the password, she noticed that on the Contacts tab, only one person, herself, is displayed. Looking in the call log and performing searches, we see that all of the previous contacts are, in fact, still stored in the phone somewhere. I have tried changing which groups of contacts sync with the phone, pretty much everything with the exception of a factory reset.

The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?
