I have download a couple of pdf files and have finished viewing them now but I can't work out how to remove them . When I go into Adobe reader there is no option delete if you press the menu button .

IF i want to turn the phone off it will go to shutting down and continue to do this for hours the only way to sort this is to remove the battery, is there a fix or is anyone else having this problem ? this hard core shut down cannot be doing the phone any good.

I have already removed a few stock apps (like the Visual Voicemail). I suppose I could also remove unused wallpapers, sounds, etc., but would freeing up this space offer any benefit?

View 15 Replies View Relatedis there any way of managing/deleting files (eg PDFs that you download) on the SD card from the phone itself ? ie can you do it without connecting to a PC and mounting as disk drive ?Also - just bought a 16gb SD card and it seems like the speed of access/saving photos and transferring music from PC is much slower than with the 4GB card that came with the phone. Is that normal or have i got a dud/fake SD Card ? ( i know - I bought if from ebay - but it was a proper 30,000+ feedback seller of memory cards..)

View 5 Replies View RelatedWith regard to phone calls dropping when on a nominal h/3g connection (as when I'm in the house I have a 3g/h reception 2 bars but when I pick the phone up it seems to drop out to g after a few seconds so if I answer a call on 3g/h a few seconds later the phone switches to g and disconnects me poor signal in the house I think but very annoying as I have to keep the phone on g only in the house and use WiFi for browsing at the moment)). Was wondering if anyone has looked into this and if there is anymore (possibly updated files) out there. At the moment I have downgraded to file 30.34 as this radio file seems to switch from g/3g/h the quickest and it's a bit more stable (still cutting to g connection once I've had the phone in my hand for a couple of seconds (think due to the receiver being in the bottom of the phone as someone else has reported), will check it's progress but all files give a similar reception.
I have only had my HTC Desire for a couple of days and I love it however this is my first 'android' phone so I am still finding my way around doing things. I wanted to transfer music from my PC to my phone so I linked up my phone with the PC using the USB cable and dragged the files from my desktop to the J drive which I assume is my phone but the music does not appear to be in my music folder, I assume that I have to do something else to get it from the SD card to my phone but what

View 5 Replies View RelatedRight, all my appointments are stored on my Outlook calendar at work. I can't get activesync to work with my server, so let's ignore that option. What I have been doing is using Google Calendar sync running on my PC to sync entries to my Google calendar. So far so good. Now initially, I synced my Desire to Google Calendar using the "Google" account in "Accounts and Settings". that worked fine. The entries in the Calendar app were given a blue stripe to identify them as being from the Google sync account.
I wanted to start using Google's own exchange servers to get my email and when I added that as a new account, I saw I could also sync calendar via the google activesync account. So I tried that too and predictably I got duplicate and double entries (oooo-er) in my Calendar app. So I just unticked the Google calendar and used the google-exchange one instead. Now today I wanted to do some large scale tidying up and noticed that in my Calendar, I have entries (orange stripe) which are listed as "Exchange" entries but under the Calendar settings - there is no longer an Exchange calendar!
All I have is PC Sync - nothing on that one
And Google sync! (the blue entries)
So how do I get rid of the exchange entries?
I have rooted my phone and have removed all of the useless apps that USCC decided to put on the Desire. However, I can't seem to find the apk for Mycontactsbackup. Does anyone here know what the apk file name is?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having fun customizing the look of my phone and getting more and more out of it. Recently I've been making custom shortcuts as I like having different icons. What I don't like is that there's a label on the Icon. The icon pack I am currently using is Manups Simple Word. What happens is when I create a Shortcut to the market for example the Icon shows in text Market Stock and then beneath it the Label Market. I don't like that if read together it becomes Market Stock Market
Is there a way I can remove the labels from shortcuts? I am currently running Froyo with LauncherPro using folder organizer and I also have anycut. The solution must not involve rooting or using any paid apps as well I can't get paid apps here. I read here Is it possible to strip HTC Sense UI from the HTC Desire? that Helix has the option to remove labels from shortcuts. I'll rather not move to Helix and stay with launcherpro.
Had my desire a couple of weeks and it has started playing up.Whenever I try and open any app that uses 3d my screen freezes and the only way to reset the phone is by removing the battery.I've tried factory resetting the phone but the problem seems to be getting worse. Looks like it will be getting returned on Tuesday.

Can't find it in the photos app or anywhere else. Going into SD & phone storage under settings doesn't do anything. It says I have 70mb available space under phone storage but you can't click on that to get any further info. Same goes for the SD card options.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI posted b this in the troubleshooting forum, but few people look there, I guess. I tried to update mixing and it failed a few times. I didn't think much about it until I decided to spring for the paid version. I bought it, but it wouldn't upload either. So I went to un install mixing in hopes that a fresh re-install would fix the problem, but there's no option to un install. I have my apps backed up, so I tried un installing mixzing that way, but it fails. The app itself works fine. Mixing may have been bundled with UD 9.8, my current ROM, but I'm not sure. I guess ultimately what I need help with is completely removing the app so I can start with a fresh install.(Switching, or even reinstalling the ROM is simply not an option. It takes me days to get my phone back the way I like it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my way to work I use the headphones attached to my Incredible to listen to iHeartRadio/Padora, etc. Once I get to work I make sure I kill the applications that I am not using, including the music applications. Once they are killed I remove the headphones from the phone. The problem is that once I remove the headphones, the music application automatically starts and plays over the speaker on the phone eventhough the applications were killed before I disconnect the headphones. The only way to stop the music from playing is to task kill it again after I disconnect the headphones.I am using the headphones supplied by the Blackberry Storm that have the microphone.
