Had my desire a couple of weeks and it has started playing up.Whenever I try and open any app that uses 3d my screen freezes and the only way to reset the phone is by removing the battery.I've tried factory resetting the phone but the problem seems to be getting worse. Looks like it will be getting returned on Tuesday.

IF i want to turn the phone off it will go to shutting down and continue to do this for hours the only way to sort this is to remove the battery, is there a fix or is anyone else having this problem ? this hard core shut down cannot be doing the phone any good.

When it crashes - the screen goes black, but the green alert light still flashes. Does anyone else have this or a solution? It is stock with just a few added apps from the market.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSome days ago I created a thread asking about random freezes/restarts.Well, Google Play is now freezing every time I try to check for an app, I've also realized the cache thingy only works for a while, I went on a trip, now that Im back the tablet freezes again and all.Should I just cache wipe everytime this happens, or just once? Is it safe to cache wipe really often?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it just me or does anyone else have trouble removing their battery cover?Sometimes it comes off really easily and sometimes it won't come off at all.I lost patience with it last week and tried to get it open with my car key and scratched it.I think the cover should have some kind of grip on it so that your finger/thumb doesn't slip when you try to open it.Now have a new cover on order from HTC,hopefully the new one might be easier to get off.

So I just got my Moment last night, and I cannot figure out how to remove the SD card. EVERYTHING I have found says it's under the battery (wtf), but I can't get the battery cover off to get to it, and I can't find any instructions on how to remove the battery cover.

The first time it happened I called verizon and they fixed it over the phone, but only lasted a few days. I took it to the store and the verizon "tech" guy put advanced task killer on it which didn't help, but now my battery doesn't as before.

I have to take out the cover, and pull the battery and by the time I do this 2-3 times, it finally boots correctly. I'm using Fresh 3.3.0.1 alongside netarchy 4.1.9.1 cfs.

Seems that maybe 1 out of every 3 or so phone calls I get, especially if the phone's been relaxing in my pocket for >1hr with no use, when I receive a call, the phone freezes.
The receive call screen appears, but I can't swipe down to receive. Can't swipe up to ignore, and hitting the power button on top simply ignores the call.
Anybody else ever see this? It's been fairly constant since I got my phone a couple months ago.
Quick edit question - is there a screen I can find on the phone that shows all my recent downloads? I have ASTRO and can find stuff on the SD card alright, but tracking down files I've downloaded from my email/dropbox, etc is always tough for me.

Even if I don't get all of them (some MIGHT be too deep, its hard to tell whether my fingernail catches or not in that little area), it would still be better if I could get some of them out. Any way I can do this without harming the lens even more?The scratches are on the outside of the cover, btw, not the tiny circle opening on the inside.

After a couple of second i reinsert the battery and reboot my phone. While rebooting it shows that please connect the charger the battery is low and it automatically shutdown. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have asked this on the bloatware thread, and I've only seen one person mention that they have seen an improvement (BringTheRain403). I know a lot of you have removed most of the bloatware by now.
Do you see a noticeable increase in performance or battery life after removing the bloatware? By removing, I mean freezing the apk's in Titanium Backup. I don't really have a problem with this stuff being on the phone, but if it will noticeably help to remove it, then I definitely will.
Anything you guys can think that could help? I've searched around, and found that holding down VOLUME DOWN and Power lets you hard reset the phone, but this doesn't work for me. I hold them down, and the phone just boots up like normal and then shuts off.I rooted it, and it was working fine. Rebooted a few times and then it quit working.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'll be on my phone browsing through the net, on my apps etc. Then once I get back to my home screen all of a sudden my screen freezes and the "HTC screen" pops up (same screen when you reboot your phone) and then I will have to wait a minute or two for everything to load up again. I've had my hero since January and this problem recently just began last week. It happens quite often and it's really irritating. I always clear my cache/data/history. Could it perhaps be some of the applications I downloaded from the market causing this?

Anyway, I downloaded the Chevy 5 slot 1GHz kernel and named it update.zip and when I install it says it's installing fine but when I go to reboot my phone freezes up at the Motorola screen. I have even tried changing to frequencies supported by the kernel (250, 550) but it still won't work...keeps freezing.

That said, I'm noticing a lot of lag for a "high end" phone with such high specs. I have two news widgets, one weather, and a live wallpaper, and that's it. But I notice sometimes I push the power button and nothing happens for a while. I swipe the lock screen and it freezes for a second. Things take time to happen on this phone. I'm not even running my favorite launcher (Launcher Pro) because when I run it, the wallpaper would freeze for a few seconds at certain times.
When I remove the the widgets and use a static wallpaper, things vastly improve. But then it's as plain and boring as an iPhone!
The widgets I'm running: Battery Indicator, Weather Bug, Engadget, News Buzz.
The wallpaper is the galaxy live wallpaper that comes with the phone.
I mean I customize the phone with a couple of widgets and a live wallpaper and I try to show it to someone, and instead of awing and shocking them with its brilliance, it turns into a crappy PowerPoint slideshow.
So, I got my x10 like a week ago. I have not had any problems with it until today. Whenever I open up the wifi settings, the screen freezes and asks if I want to force close or wait. I have used the wifi a little before, but this is the first time that my phone has done this.
