HTC Hero :: Need Instant Messenger App That Can Run Face Book Chat
Jan 31, 2010I'm looking for a good messengering app that can run Face book chat and run in the background. I've tried Meebo and eBuddy but they both seem to disconnect if you leave your phone alone for so long. I want something like BBM that can run in the background and give me a notification when someone is trying to chat with me.

To reproduce this you can add the small one to a screen, then delete it, then try to add the face book widget again and it won't ask you which style this time.

Jun 10, 2010I am one of those crazy types with 2000+ Facebook friends for games and such. When I get my DInc. (hopefully this week or early next week.) and do the contact merger thing, Do I have to merge in all of my Facebook friends? Or can I just pick a filter like Family and Close Friends only? This would bring the total merged contacts down to a much more manageable 100+ or so. Really do not want 2000 people on my phone, that would be a mess! If there is no option other than all or none, I may have to start a new facebook account just to limit the chaos.

I turned off the face book notifications because they were annoying. But when I did that, the pictures and statuses never refresh. I just want them to refresh, but I don't want the notifications to be sent to me all day.

Nov 9, 2010Anyone ever had this happen? Downloaded an update after the 2.1 upgrade and I sync'd my contacts with FB. It then deleted all of my contacts.So I deleted Facebook, re-stored all my contacts and reloaded Facebook. However, now it gets as far as installing and it never stops. It just stays on Installing.However, the FB app works fine on the phone itself.Is this a Market glitch? Is there anyway I can purge it from out of my downloads section?

My facebook account is for networking and promotion, so a lot of people I have in my friends list I don't even know. Because of this I have had to remove my account from "facebook for htc sense". Unfortunately I liked the way it had lots of info for each individual contact, photo, birthday, email addy etc. Is their anyway of having this much info for each individual entry when adding them in "people"?

Aug 11, 2010Normally when I put a new contact into Address Book on my Mac (Leopard) all I have to do is hit the sync button in the top menu and it's off to Google to be downloaded to my Desire.But! this does not appear to be working at the mo'.
