I need to know if the HTC Desire HD will work in India. I even contacted HTC's support in India and they said they were not sure about it as they had no information about the phone.

View 4 Replies View Relatededit: This has now sorted itself out. Dont know why it didnt work when it said it was syncing before. maybe it didnt like the number of contacts involved and only wanted to do it on its own 3 hours after i asked. I am unable to get all my gmail contacts onto my desire. I have a gmail account setup on the phone, syncing is set to automatic and the gmail account has all options ticked for syncing. Even after i run a manual sync it does not retrieve all my gmail contacts (people is completely empty, and 'view' is set to only show gmail contacts)I know its possible because i had them on there before. I removed them from the phone as there were lots of duplicates after merging with my phones contacts. These duplicates all got sent up to gmail and so i removed everything from the phone in order to tidy it all up on gmail with the intention of then re-importing them from gmail. But it will not get anythying from gmail now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm brand new to the Android world and, in fact, don't even have a phone yet. However, I'll be picking up the LG Optimus S w/Sprint in the next day or so. All my information (email, calendar, contacts, notes, etc) are all managed in Outlook (stand alone, not Exchange). I've been told that there's no way to sync directly from Outlook to an Android phone so I'm looking for the cheapest way to accomplish that and have good results.
My emails come through Gmail so that part is already done. I use Google's Calendar Sync program so my calendar is already in my Gmail account so that is also done. The contacts and notes are only in Outlook so that's where my main question lies..........
Im desperate here. My son discovered Angry Birds on my Droid X and is now as addicted as my wife and I and wont stop asking me for my phone LOL!! I wish to give it for warranty claim and i guess they wouldnt accept the phone with custom OS as there is no official udpate for Airtel India HTC Heros.
I wish to roll back the original ROM and give the phone for claim. Please help people....
Also if i manage to get another hero on airtel, can we extract the ROM from other device?
