View 10 RepliesI know this has been asked about the Motorola Droid, but I was wondering the same thing about the HTC Desire, Uploading you tube videos via 3g network. When I've taken a video using my phone, I have the option to share it by sending it to You Tube (annoyingly this creates another Google account on my phone, but never mind). More annoying is the fact that it waits until I'm connected to a wi-fi network before allowing me to upload it. Surely if I want to use my data allowance to upload videos to You Tube, that's my business, but I can't find a setting that allows me to change this. According to HTC, this is a change that T-Mobile must have made. I'm not convinced by this, but I'd like to know what other people have found, and whether there are any easy ways around it. Still being fairly new to Android, I don't fancy rooting the phone. I'm using Android 2.1.

View 7 Replies View RelatedOk so recently (7/23 I believe) You Tube changed something with their videos and my Dolphin HD browser no longer let's me download videos (Gives a Unknown file name and Download Unsuccessful). I have not updated either of my Dolphin browsers (I have HD and the old one) since they updated it to not allow that feature. My question is Werther or not there is a work around for this yet? I understand that Google is the one blocking this but I know someone will find a way around this. If anyone knows of a new free program to use please let me know.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there an app to download you tube videos?? i used to use Dolphin Browsed and Tube Droid, but Dolphin removed this feature, and my Tube Droid app doesn't seem to work anymore. i did a quick search before creating this post and did not find much that was recently answered or posted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been browsing you tube with 2.1 and found that most of official music video is filtered in you tube mobile. and I was informed that this is general case for you tube mobile regardless of which handset you use. When I search in non-mobile you tube for videos, I can find them but I can't play them. What happens in froyo when we get flash support? Do we get unlimited access to you tube videos or no luck. I am assuming we can watch those because of flash support but correct me if I am wrong.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen i am trying to watch some you tube videos on android 1.5 most of them says " sorry, this video cannot be played". I was wondering does the 2.1 update fix this problem?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMaybe I'm late, but I just discovered that the dolphin browser is able to download you tube vidz to your SD. Even if you use the default browser, just having dolphin browser installed should enable it. Try it below (also works by going to you tube.com).

I was looking forward to being able to play flash videos, after trying to play a few (from entensity.net) I can see the player, but pressing play results in only a yellow exclamation mark... Is there a solution to this or is flash support not quite there yet on android? (Btw according to the settings menu on the phone all software is up to date.)

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm using myPlayer to download videos to watch during my commute. Even though the myPlayer app recommends arcMedia to play the downloaded videos, I've found that the default Videos app works just fine, and is a bit better thanks to the Dolby Mobile sound.
However... after downloading the video to the phone, the video takes an age to show up in the Videos app's list. I can usually prod the app into re-scanning the SD card for videos my unmounting and remounting the card, but that's a bit of a pain. Does anyone know of a way of just getting the Videos app to have another look for new files?
(I know, it's not a major hassle to remount the SD card, but I'm an ex-iPhone guy and used to the 'it just works' way of doing things...

View 1 Replies View Relatedi notice when i try to use my phone's "flash player capabilities" that it works like chit. for instance, it won't play videos streamed on justin.tv. and today i tried to go to kings of leon's website so i could listen to their new album from my phone (Kings of Leon | Come Around Sundown) but it failed to work again. i can see all the songs, click on the buttons, even track forward in the songs, but NO SOUND and the songs remain on pause and won't play. is there an update or some kind of APP i can install to where i can actually get some benefit from the flash player.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am a bit of a novice but have managed to work a lot of things out about my HTC desire through this website but I am struggling with playing online TV and videos as well as downloading films onto my phone. Firstly I am a fan of channel 4 on demand and I tried to watch something a box comes up which says- 'shockwave flash- there is not enough free memory to display this flash content' -
Does this simply mean that I need a bigger micro SD card as I have only got the 4GB one enclosed with the phone, if it is as simple as that then could get an 8 or 16 GB microcard? Next problem is watching online films (for example from blinkbox.com), I can watch these on my laptop but my phone wont play them- do I have to install a special player to get these to work?
And finally I am right in thinking there is not an app like the iphone in which you can click and buy movies on the HTC desire? If not how do I download movies onto my phone or maybe download them on my laptop and transfer them to my phone?

My friend just got an iphone 4 and I noticed that over wi-fi his you tube streams extremely crisp video, I'm assuming it's 720p. On my Milestone, using wi-fi and HQ setting, it's still rather blurry and definitely not at the same level as my friends. Is there a way I can stream 720p ?
