I jus bot my htc hero yesterday. I can see youtube on the browser but cannot see any videos from yahoo movies and many other flash contents.. I was wondering whether i should install anything (since thr s no flash 10.1 support for htc hero).

View 9 Replies View Relatedi notice when i try to use my phone's "flash player capabilities" that it works like chit. for instance, it won't play videos streamed on justin.tv. and today i tried to go to kings of leon's website so i could listen to their new album from my phone (Kings of Leon | Come Around Sundown) but it failed to work again. i can see all the songs, click on the buttons, even track forward in the songs, but NO SOUND and the songs remain on pause and won't play. is there an update or some kind of APP i can install to where i can actually get some benefit from the flash player.

I got my phone a few weeks ago and the flash player worked then. But now if I choose it, it just for a to a blank a screen. For the same video, if I choose YouTube it plays fine.

One feature that's bugging me on the Desire, the default application for Youtube videos seems to be the HTC Flash Player, but I don't want to use this. I would prefer it if it opened with the Youtube player so I can get high quality video when viewing Youtube clips on WIFI - the HTC Flash Player has no settings or option for video quality improvement.
On my G1, every time I opened a link for Youtube (from e.g. the browser or Seesmic), it opened up the Youtube application as the default viewer.
I have gotten both the Flash Player and Flash Lite APK's, and I have been trying to install them on the Droid. Flash Player refuses to install on stock 2.1. Flash Lite installs, but after install I can not connect to the internet (Nothing connects, Skype, market, random app, browser.)
So I wanted to know if anyone wanted to do some testing with them, to see if you can get them running on the ROM you are running. Maybe we will be able to make fun of iDevices earlier, because Droid Does what iDont

I have a droid-x and also have an iPod Touch. Is there a player that will play all my movies? I would hate to have to convert everything. My iPod has MP4 files. Meridian doesnt seem to like them.

View 8 Replies View RelatedNot got the phone yet.. but it looks good.. as an Apple fan i love the Iphone but im not willing to change carrier or pay what they want.. so i think the hero is my best option.. What is important to me is my email.. I want to be able to sync my yahoo account with yahoo mail and the mail on the phone so if i send an email on my phone it will appear in the sent folder on my yahoo mail on the computer and vice versa if you follow... With Android being google will i be able to do this from the phones email client like the iphone does...

Yesterday, I tried whatever "Update Profile" is and after that I lost all of my pictures and videos. Is that what did it? Or do I have another issue here? Or did it happen after I took a pic of my home screen with Shoot Me? Also, I'm pretty sure I just copied my videos file from my PC (30 AVI's) to my SD card and then phone read them. Now, it won't, any after some research it doesn't look like the EVO even supports AVI? I'm pretty sure I didn't' convert anything than one DVD. Otherwise this phone is suhweet. 32GB cards can't come fast enough.

I was looking forward to being able to play flash videos, after trying to play a few (from entensity.net) I can see the player, but pressing play results in only a yellow exclamation mark... Is there a solution to this or is flash support not quite there yet on android? (Btw according to the settings menu on the phone all software is up to date.)
