Android :: How To Keep Dolphin Browser Playing When Screen Turns Off?
Dec 21, 2009I see where Dolphin is highly recommended, but after doing some playing around I noticed something pretty strange. I like to listed to music streaming and the stock browser seems to allow Flash play audio, but the Dolphin browser can not recognize it. The problem with listening with the stock browser is that when the phone goes into standby mode, it stops playing. Does anyone know how to keep it playing when the screen turns off?

Jul 4, 2010I've been using the stock browser and it's been playing flash content fine. I just installed Dolphin HD browser but for some reason it's not loading any flash content on any site. Anyone have any ideas why not? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and rebooting as well. I'm out of ideas. The stock browser still works though. I'm on FRF91, non-rooted.

Jul 26, 2010I have just upgraded from an iPhone to the HTC Desire. I was looking forward to being able to play flash videos, after trying to play a few (from entensity.net) I can see the player, but pressing play results in only a yellow exclamation mark... Is there a solution to this or is flash support not quite there yet on android? (Btw according to the settings menu on the phone all software is up to date.)

Nov 11, 2009Is anyone else having trouble setting a default browser? I'm trying to set Dolphin as the default, but every single time I launch it, I get the dialog:
"Dolphin is not currently set as default browser. would you like to make it as default browser?
I click "OK", but if I kill the process, next time I launch, it asks me again. Also, if I check "Set as default browser" is the settings, that only lasts until the next time I open the settings (when it magically appears unchecked again). I believe I also had a very similar experience when I tried Browser and 1nternet.

Apr 5, 2010Anyone going back to stock, now that it has pinch zoom? I think I am unless someone knows why Dolphin is still better. I don't see anything up front. When will stock sync with Crome?

Jan 20, 2010I just got the latest update for Dolphin Browser. Seems like they made substantial changes. A quick test shows that it renders the nytimes and cnn websites faster than the native browser...so it appears to have sped up on my Droid. I'm wondering what others think of the new UI.

Sep 17, 2010So everyone LOVES dolphin hd...the verdict is out for me...it runs very slow and sluggish..doesn't always feel clicks, doesn't always open bookmarks, and doesn't always recognize text fields. Now by always i mean 95% of the time.
My phone itself is running slow lately period. Launcherpro is maggy, widget locker acts up, swype doesn't always give me the red search dot, and other fun problems.
I am rooted with 2.2. No themes.

Aug 21, 2010Cannot play videos in LFY 1.4. They play fine when i go back to vanilla frg22. Just says "video cannot be played". All are in MP4 format. Any ideas?

Mar 26, 2010I've recently rooted my droid and installed Bugless Beast 0.9 and Chevy1 OC'ing on it. Ever since then my browser will just decide to close and it takes me back to the home screen. I don't get a forced closed message it just takes me back to the home screen. I'm new to this rooting business so I'm not sure if there is something I am overlooking or what. I followed the instructions completed and wiped the phone before doing any of this.

I was taking pictures last night with my flash, and I noticed that even though the LED comes on, it turns off again the instant before the shutter closes. This problem is reproducible 100% of the time, and happens whether the picture is taken with the shutter button or the new touch button. This has basically rendered the flash useless.
