Nov 26, 2010We are developing apps for android. One recent app has links that play videos hosted on amamazon servers. We have fromated for 3gp and or mp4.
When we run app, we get error,
Video file cannot be played
This happens on wifi, 3g, and 4g connections
Samsung epic, (galaxy s)
Do we have to intall some media server on the server perhaps? The iphone version of the app works fine.

Oct 19, 2010i notice when i try to use my phone's "flash player capabilities" that it works like chit. for instance, it won't play videos streamed on justin.tv. and today i tried to go to kings of leon's website so i could listen to their new album from my phone (Kings of Leon | Come Around Sundown) but it failed to work again. i can see all the songs, click on the buttons, even track forward in the songs, but NO SOUND and the songs remain on pause and won't play. is there an update or some kind of APP i can install to where i can actually get some benefit from the flash player.

I am from India and i took a 3G connection, the thing that shows up in my mobile is E and sometimes H.
I am really confused whether E is 3G coz i gets good browsing speed in it.
Also, i downloaded 3G Watch dog and when i watched the usage through it, even if i am not using anything, it still show download and upload. Why so?
I unchecked everything like auto sync, etc etc. But still it shows up some download and upload. Does anybody has the same experience as me?

Sep 23, 2010A few days ago I was using my schools wifi with no issue (its unsecured)
Now I can connect to the wifi but pages will simply not open (try again later or whatever the generic error message is)
I reset everything I could find still nothing.

Jun 1, 2010I was directed here by the Google Android Devs Group. I'm still not sure if this is the place I need to be. I've been on forum after forum and asked the same question but no one seems to know the answer or will tell me the REAL correct place to find it. I have a Samsung Moment with Android 2.1. I can not get videos that DID play on Android 1.5 to play on 2.1 now with very few exceptions. I'm not just talking about different videos with the same format, I'm talking about some of the exact same videos that did play in 1.5 will no longer play in 2.1. These are almost all AVI files. If Android doesn't support AVI natively with it's own stock media player then why or how was I able to play these videos flawlessly on 1.5? The way I always played the videos was viewing my SD card, tapping the thumbnail of the video I wanted, and it would automatically open up in the phones media player right away. Now the phone locks up and then eventually gives an error message.

Aug 29, 2010Problem is, any page on the BBC News website containing a Flash movie crashes the stock browser . So, while this and this are OK. This, this and even the mobile help page crash the browser (links included for you to try ). No force close, the browser just vanishes and I get returns me to the phone home screen.
I've cleared the cache and cookies and even restarted the phone to no avail (and no, I'm not doing a hard reset ).
iPlayer pages are OK as is YouTube.
Is this a BBC problem? Is anyone else having the same issue or is it just me?
Running stock browser on LauncherPro on FroYo.

Apr 2, 2012I have Nook Color with CyanogenMod 7.2. I have tried tons of web browsers: Opera Mini, Dolphin HD, Firefox, Browser (native browser), Maxthon, Skyfire, and Puffin Free. None could stream (flash) videos. They either weren't able to do it at all, or did it with lots of stuttering. What is the best way to play flash videos in web pages?

Nov 29, 2010Since I updated to Froyo when the official one was released for the UK my Gallery has been almost useless, it now sorts photos based on where they were taken which I don't want and it doesn't show any new photos/videos I take, possibly because the phone saves them to the external SD card now instead of the internal one. Is there anyway to fix this? I've looked everywhere for some gallery settings but I can't find anything, to change the sorting etc.. Or can anyone recommend a half decent gallery app? I just want something that shows the recent photos I've taken...

Nov 18, 2013I have a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, with a 64GB Micro SD card. I would like to play back videos I have stored on my SD card; however none of the videoplayers I've tried will do it - they all say the file cannot be played. The videos all play fine when stored locally, so I know there is no issue with the files themselves or the transfer process of getting them onto the SD card. Currently, if I want to watch a video, I have to use the My Files app to navigate to the file on the SD card and move it to the internal storage. This works, but its clunky and not very nice. Is this a bug feature of 4.2.2, or of my handset in general?

Dec 9, 2013I own HTC Desire (Bravo). I rooted my phone year ago or so, tried different ROMs etc. I dont remember when exactly, but my Google play store is loading pages really slow. I am not in US, I doubt its carrier based issue..
Currently I'm using CM..I think its 8 or 9, not sure of the version because recently my ROM manager app stopped working. (Will try to reinstall it when I get calm enough to open Google Play Store again )
On the startup it says CM 7 (mod) but I think it does so for all versions. I flashed CM using clockwork mod.
To solve issue I've tried clearing cash/data but it didn't work . Btw I use wi-fi mostly, but issue is the same whether I use mine or some other wi-fi.
