Is it possible to go back to an incorrect word in a text you are writing and highlight it so that the word list appears again which enables to to select an alternate word rather than have to delete the word and retype the correct one.

I am loving swype, especially since I only have one arm (the others in a cast). Is anyone else having issues with the word list not popping up when you double click on a word? This has never worked for me. I have the newest version.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a dictionary.com app on my phone, cant remember if I downloaded it or if it came with the phone and as such not sure if everyone has it or not. Basically it gives me a widget which I had on my 7th homescreen that gives me a 'word of the day' each day which I quite liked. Since I upgraded to Froyo, the widget isn't working, it keeps force closing but the main app itself works.

Ill go back to try to fix an issue say 3 lines up from where I am and it wont scroll to the correct place I tried to place it. also if you get the cursor where you want it to fix a mistake getting it to go back where you were typing before trying to fix the mistake is a headache. Itll recenter the screen once yoy try to click back to where you were typing so you cannot see where or what your typing. I currently havr the nexus s but my evo4g did it to. The nexus is worse though. Sometimes its fine but uaually it isnt.

For the Moment, it says it has a 360x640 resolution which is wrong. Everything I have read, including Samsung's website shows 320x480.
It says it has an FM radio and I have seen nothing or the sort anywhere. That would be nice if it did, but can't find anything to confirm this.
It says it has a Stereo loudspeaker. I can't find any specifications for this. Can anyone confirm or reject this claim?

In my contacts, I've got it set to only show Phone contacts, and I've hidden Sim/Gmail contacts. I've also linked all my contacts with their Facebook profiles. So in my contacts list (People), it's fine. However, when I go to messaging and start typing a name in the To field, there's a duplicate of everyone. As far as I can see, there's no similar "hide SIM" option etc for the texting/calling, so I'm just wondering how to sort this? I saw someone to try deleting all phone contacts and just using your SIM contacts but to be honest I'd rather not do this, since I like to just use my SIM contacts as a basic backup if you get me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I make a spelling error when typing a text but dont notice it until the text is finished it can be quite difficult to correct. Its a case of trying to insert the cursor by the error and then backspacing. This can be quite tricky. Or is there another way to do it? On my laptop there are directional arrows which allow me to take the cursor back through the text without deleting letters on the way. Is there an equivalent on the phone keypad?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a fix for getting pictures to load faster? right now they load right up blurry and then take 5 seconds to correct. it does this in the gallery as well as on the internet. except the ones on the internet take much longer to correct, like 30 seconds or more. I.E. facebook pictures is where i notice it the most. i'd rather them load faster and not be 100.9999% perfect....

I just got word that the Evo, the app, and the keyboard work together flawlessly! So, what word processing app should I chose to use with my Evo? I'm planning on blogging, writing emails, short stories, and yes... even working on a novel or two. I'm hoping to replace my laptop for any writing I do out of the house with my beautifully Evo. Ideally, I'd like to be able to save files on my phone and later transfer them to my computer and also upload them to google docs (depending on what I am writing/doing). I'd like a built in dictionary/spell check and thesaurus. Programmable shortcut keys would also be a wishlist feature. So what do you guys all recommend? Oh, and I'm not concerned about the cost. I'm willing to pay for a quality product.

Letters slowly appear on a grid and you have to make words from them by moving them around the grid, then swiping the word. As more letters get on the grid, it makes it tougher to move the letters around until the whole grid is filled, then you can make words like Word Up until there is room to move letters again. Once the grid is full, you get no more letters, except for a few given to you at the top of the screen to mix in.Work fast!

I consider myself a fairly careful and exploratory user of most things, and Android is no exception - I'd like to think of knowing most its functions, and when people make posts in this forum, I do tend to already know them. But no - my mind was just blown with something so simply that I'm sure i'm behind the curve here. It always annoyed me how difficult it was to add a word to the dictionary for prediciton? Or, not difficult, but time consuming, going into the settings, text and locale, diction, add. The other day I had a moment of brilliance when I realised that long-holding the text box after typing in a word brought up the option (right at the bottom of the list) to add it to the dictionary. This was faster, but still a bit annoying because it took a second to load the dictionary, then you had to click "Add" again. I just realised, however, that if you long-hold a word itself in the text entry box, it just adds it. It comes up saying "saved" and bam, it's done.
