1. How do i add word/excel (or open office)
2. When i added my games. it all added in the gray page (where all my applications are) at the same time I added it on the fast access screen. Is there a way that i can delete them in my gray page? The gray page I am talking about is the page that pops up when you click the arrow shown at the bottom page of the screen.
3. How can i add 'notes' application?
4. is there really a maximum of 3 pages? to add applications to the wall?

Sep 2, 2010I downloaded the free version of "Documents to go". It allows viewing of Word & Excel documents. Editing is not allowed for the free version. $24 gets the complete pkg.
I have 2 concerns - One, not sure if I'll keep this phone and not exchange it. I've already exchanged 2 times for defects. Hope this one's a keeper, but I'm scared due to 2 exchanges. 2nd concern is I'd like the most cost affective software.

Jul 10, 2010Having a few software issues with my new SGS.
I would like to transfer some MS Office 2007 files on to the phone. I appreciate that ThinkFree Office should be able to allow access and edit the documents. As you will see in another thread I am having difficulties with Kies so thought the simpilest way would simply to email myself the .xls document for ThinkFree Office.
However, attachments simply open in code form, there is no option to download them in .xls format to the phone, so that ThinkFree can then open them and decode it.

I would also like to insert data on this table from word or excel document. is it possible? if so please how can I do it? some code snippets would be of great help. I have four different activities which I would like them to interact with this single table. the first is the main activity and its purpose is just to launch the other three activities according to user choice. so it has no interaction with the DB. but the other three activities will read from the table whenever called. Can you please tell me how to call the dbhelper on these activities? I am unable to do this and I am currently creating one db per each activity which is not the optimal way.

2) When I try to locate certain rural addresses that are in my contact list (or anywhere) it is trying to chg what I type and give me a different address. For example.... 1430 Road K Town, state.... Changes it to 1430 K Street Town State.
Now this wouldn't be a big deal except when using the nav features. OUr address is like this and it can never seem to get it right.

For example if I go out to eat I would like to be able to enter the amount I spend on that day in my excel calendar on my phone and when I open th document on my computer have show the entry automatically. Oct 11, 2010I haven't been following the WP7 release but was under the impression it would be available in about a month. Then I heard it wouldn't be available on Sprint for another year. My contract was up on my HTC Touch Pro on WM6.1. Upon seeing my son's Samsung Epic Galaxy 5 Android 2.1 (on Sprint), I decided to give it a try. Much of it blew me away, but he doesn't use the same apps as I.
I picked up the Epic this weekend. I've noticed a bunch of features I really like, for example how it handles BlueTooth. The AMOLED screen is fantastic. Most of the other stuff is just a matter of things I have to get used to.
There are a few things I really don't like and I have 30 days or alternate programs to figure out how to get them to my liking, all having to do with Office 2010 apps that I use regularly. I'm running SBS 2008 with Exchange and Win7 on my primary PC.
1. I'm old school and never got used to alphabetizing contacts by first name. I prefer company, last name, first name. Anyway to change that?
2. I have 60+ folders in ten branches in Outlook. The Android app displays them in tabs across the top. I'd much prefer a tree display. Any way to do that?
3. I did some searching to find an easy way to sync Outlook Notes (or OneNote or even a third-party app) between my PC and the Epic. Unfortunately a search turns up all the information on synching Outlook.
4. Anyone have a recommendation for synching Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx) between the phone and my PC or server?

Jan 1, 2010i'm probably going to be getting a droid at the end of january (staying on verizon cause they're the only carrier with 3g in my area). Just got a couple questions i'd like to ask. 1. how integrated can your google account be on a droid? i'd like to at least be able to view my google docs, for example, and i'd actually be a little disappointed if i couldn't edit them from the phone aswell. 2. i know that you can view word files from the phone. can you view excel spreadsheets? also, is there an app i can download to edit office files too? 3. how will my work email play with my droid? i just got hired on and i haven't even visited my email so i don't know if its exchange or what.
