How exactly do I use my own pictures?
I downloaded an image from commons on my phone. I then hit settings->personalize->home wallpaper->Photos and then select the image when it appears. I get the confirmation popup "the picture has been set as your wallpaper" but when I hit the home key nothing has changed.
If I select any image from "photos" it does this, but if I select HTC or Live wallpapers it works fine.

i have a htc desire and when i try to use my pitures i have taking with my phone as wallpaper on my home screen they are to bit and do not fit on my screen cheers

I have some contacts on my home screen for direct calling. When I add a contact picture for them in google contacts online and synchronize, it only appears in the list of my contacts but won't change on the homescreen, even when restarting the phone...

Just a quick question about making pictures from the gallery your wallpaper? Is there any way to get it to use the whole picture. as it stands, whenever I try to use a picture for my wallpaper, it makes me crop the picture, and no matter what I do, the crop box never lets me use the whole picture, its like there's a size limit or something.

After changing my SD card with a larger one, my music album pictures on HTC music player/widget does not show anymore. I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).

I tried to search to see if this was a known bug but didn't find an answer - so if someone has had this issue - I would appreciate their advice.
I tend to alternate b/w using Live wallpapers and regular ones. There's been no problems switching to a Live wallpaper but when I try to change the wallpaper to a regular one it reverts back to the default wallpaper. However if I do a reboot after that it will display the last wallpaper I attempted to change to before the reboot.

Anyone else having an issue with the Droid changing the wallpaper?
Today I took a call from the missus and when it ended and went back to the homescreen, the wallpaper had changed to that horrible yellow one. I've had this happen a couple of times now, once when exiting Messaging, and today, exiting the Phone.
Is there somewhere I can send a bug report to google for this? Anyone else had this happen? Is there a quick simple fix?

i bought two samsung galaxy s and both have their own individual issues mine has the issue of turning off by itself which i found previous post about but the other one which im posting about consistently changes the background back to the default bubble blue live wallpaper, would anyone know if this is a app issue or a hardware issue with the phone becuase i wanna make sure i go back and exchange it, if thats the issue, if its something that can be fixed then please give me the solution because i really dont wanna exchange it and setup the phone all over again for my girlfriend.

I downloaded Astro because I'm suppose to be able to change the names of my pictures with it but when I open the program I can find all sorts of files, but I can't find a folder for my gallery or my library where the pictures are suppose to be. I think they should be there anyway.
Once I found a place to type a "name" & search but that did not find those file folders either. I thought I might search the "Name" of a photo I have on the phone but now I can't even find where to type in the name/date & time again.

Received the new update on my Nexus 7 (first generation) and seem to have an issue with wallpaper changing after powering down.....when repower up wallpaper changes.....is there a setting that needs to be reset to keep the wallpaper that I have selected and not change everytime power on and off ?

Annoying that when I go to select a wallpaper, the "Pictures" option pulls up every single image on my SD card (icons for apps, CD art, etc.), when all I want it to do it pull images from my "Wallpaper" folder.
Is there any way to customize what images get pulled? Can folders (like CD art) be hidden from gallery view so that they don't show up in the "Pictures" list?

Multipicture live wall paper is the coolest wallpaper I have used to date. It allows you to set a different wallpaper for each screen! I have been looking for something like this since last November.

I'm looking to add more wallpapers to my Desire that will fit the whole screen without me having to crop or stretch.I have had a look on android market for wallpaper but i can only find live wall paper.Anyone know where i can wallpaper for the Desire?Also am i right in saying that the screen resolution for wallpaper to fit the whole of the screen is 960+800?

I have been reading through the manual for the Desire and it states that you can have a different lock screen wallpaper to the wallpaper when the screen has been unlocked.
However, I can't seem to manage this at all.
Does anyonw know if this is possible or if it is an error in the HTC manual?
The reason being I would like to have a nice bright lock screen image but a normal black background for when apps and widgets are all over it.

I downloaded pictures off the internet and tried to set them as my background, and it says "This picture has been set as wallpaper" But its just the default wallpaper. So then I tried the Bar code scanner wallpapers and Android themes.com and same thing!

A few days ago i downloaded the Flikie wallpaper app and was able to save wallpapers on the Desire without any problem. Since yesterday i have been unable to save or set a particular wallpaper. I now keep getting a message "sorry we can not save this wallpaper". I have tried many other wallpapers with the same message appearing.Has anyone else experienced this problem?? Is it likely to be a problem with the app and not the phone?Would it help if i uninstall and then reinstall the app?Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

How do I do this? I thought it would be simple enough, download the keyboard then go in to keyboard and select it, jobs a goodin, but I select the keyboard and still have the HTC one which I can't type on, What am I doing wrong?

I hate the green crop box when i want to set the image as wallpaper Just can't stretch the whole image . I have used Wallpaper set & save but don't work for me. The whole wallpaper doesn't fit the homescreen , it's too big and just show the part like green crop box T_T . I'm using 2.1 Android.

Odd issue I've found - I can't add a custom wallpaper. It tells me it's changed it, but nothing actually happens. I can change between HTC wallpapers just fine. I've tried, jpeg, PNG, various different resolutions (Including screen resolution and the wallpaper resolution of 960x800)...I'm stumped. Any ideas?
