I have some contacts on my home screen for direct calling. When I add a contact picture for them in google contacts online and synchronize, it only appears in the list of my contacts but won't change on the homescreen, even when restarting the phone...

How exactly do I use my own pictures?
I downloaded an image from commons on my phone. I then hit settings->personalize->home wallpaper->Photos and then select the image when it appears. I get the confirmation popup "the picture has been set as your wallpaper" but when I hit the home key nothing has changed.
If I select any image from "photos" it does this, but if I select HTC or Live wallpapers it works fine.
After changing my SD card with a larger one, my music album pictures on HTC music player/widget does not show anymore. I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want my contacts to have the facebook profile pictures. Most of them update, but i noticed some dont, which wouldve been bearable if a couple werent in my favourites (people) widget.
I've used SyncMyPics and it seemed to work fine, but all the pictures are now using the gmail picture which is blurry (fixed if i deleted the pic in gmail so itll used facebooks higher quality). but heres the problem, when i go to the contact to pic a new picture, the options are google and facebook, but the google is the updated picture, and facebook is still the old one. I want to use facebook too because its much better quality.
I have a Panasonic FZ28 camera and a Pipo max 1 android tablet. I shall be taking both to a remote part of Canada in a few weeks. Any software program that will allow me to transfer photographs directly from my cam onto the Tablet, without taking my lap top with me?

Installing apps, uninstalling apps, etc, etc. It has become a little laggy, certainly not as fast as when it first arrived. The main things that concern me are how to backup all of my contacts, including their pictures. As this has taken me some time to compile. I have backed up my contacts to the sd card, but i dont think this does the pictures as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Astro because I'm suppose to be able to change the names of my pictures with it but when I open the program I can find all sorts of files, but I can't find a folder for my gallery or my library where the pictures are suppose to be. I think they should be there anyway.
Once I found a place to type a "name" & search but that did not find those file folders either. I thought I might search the "Name" of a photo I have on the phone but now I can't even find where to type in the name/date & time again.
I created 3 folders to organize and condense my direct dial/message contacts. This morning, I tried to open one of the folders, and it will not open. The other two open fine.

Situation: I use an iRiver S10 MP3 player (2GB) when riding. Normally if Im going on a long ride (a few days) I will need to take my notebook along if I want to change songs on the player.
So, what Im trying to work out is this. Is there a way to transfer MP3s from my Desire's SD card to the S10 via USB (maybe using a USB Data Transfer cable and the required adaptors?).
Any ideas/suggestions? Could it be possible?
On checkout at mobile phones direct it gives you 3 months mobile insurance free. Now there is a option to remove the insurance but what i am wondering is if i go through with the free 3 months am i then dedicated to it for the full 18 months? Will i have to pay anything for the months after.

I sync'd up my Gmail contacts but when I set up my Facebook account, it added all my Facebook contacts and made my contact pictures in my contact list the ones from Facebook. I want the contact pictures that I have saved in my Gmail account to be the pictures showing up on my phone and I also didn't want all my Facebook contacts to transfer over to my list.
