Mar 29, 2014I'm.using rooted Samsung galaxy s duos suddenly I can't install some apps which are less than 20MB. It says insufficient memory. but I can install big apps which have size more than 40MB. I use Link2Sd to move apps to exernal storage.

Sep 30, 2013i've got a droid razr maxx running jb 4.1.2. at one point i had maxed out the storage space on both the SD card and the ~8gb of internal phone memory, so as i went to make a download i got a little error up top that said the download failed due to insufficient memory. i took care of the problem and completed the download, but ever since then that little !-in-triangle status has been up top on my status bar, always popping up atop the list of alerts that come up when i pull the top menu down. clicking on it sends me to my downloads page, so i've sorted out all of the filenames even remotely similar to that one and deleted them from the downloads page....
i can power off the phone, reboot it.... no matter what that status informing me that the download failed due to insufficient memory won't go away.....

May 17, 2014I'm having trouble changing the external memory for internal, already used the "external 2 internal", vold.ftab changed the script. with external 2 internal cards are the 2 with the same amount of bits. and using the script does not recognize the external sd.

May 29, 2014Is there something that replicates this feature?: changing a notifications priority/or hiding the notification icon from the status bar.
I know that you can permanently hide all notifications of an app via app info, but what I am looking for is something that will allow me to only hide any icon from the status bar, but the notification will still be there when I pull down the notification shade.
I currently use a ROM that has this feature, and I have yet to find it implemented in any other way or through any other ROM. I would love to go back to stock or an AOSP rom and use only Xposed modules, but this is the only thing that is stopping me. This feature is absolutely vital in my opinion in my everyday use.
You can see this feature in the screenshot below. When I long press any notification when I select the Hide status bar apps notification icon, the icon will not show up. As if it either replaces it (which I believe it does with a transparent dot) or just as useful would be to change the priority of the notification to low.
This just amazes me that I can't find anything else that does this. I'm hoping there is some type of xposed module that can replicate this feature, or anything really. If only i could find the code in the source of the rom myself to compile it into stock or something... Nexus 5

I downloaded an image from commons on my phone. I then hit settings->personalize->home wallpaper->Photos and then select the image when it appears. I get the confirmation popup "the picture has been set as your wallpaper" but when I hit the home key nothing has changed.
If I select any image from "photos" it does this, but if I select HTC or Live wallpapers it works fine.
HTC Incredible :: Wallpaper Not Changing To A Regular One
Jun 18, 2010I tried to search to see if this was a known bug but didn't find an answer - so if someone has had this issue - I would appreciate their advice.
I tend to alternate b/w using Live wallpapers and regular ones. There's been no problems switching to a Live wallpaper but when I try to change the wallpaper to a regular one it reverts back to the default wallpaper. However if I do a reboot after that it will display the last wallpaper I attempted to change to before the reboot.

Today I took a call from the missus and when it ended and went back to the homescreen, the wallpaper had changed to that horrible yellow one. I've had this happen a couple of times now, once when exiting Messaging, and today, exiting the Phone.
Is there somewhere I can send a bug report to google for this? Anyone else had this happen? Is there a quick simple fix?

I've tried using Cache Clear to clear the caches. It has 1.58gb of Avaliable memory left. and 712mb of system memory. I also have a 32gb microsd card. Poweramp is less than 5mbs, and im getting this insufficient storage popup. Dec 25, 2013I'm getting this error when I try to install or update almost every APK on my Android. SOME will install or update and I can tell you there's nothing to do with file size. The storages seem to have plenty of free space, apps install smoothly when I factory reset my phone, but after a few days I start getting this annoying error.
I'm running the latest Nightly build from CyanogemMod for LG p720h (Yea, it's not stable and I know I should expect some... erm... bugs). It's Android 4.1.2.
I know the Internal Storage is emulated and have tried many many many fixes I found in this very forum and all over the internet. I'm a game developer so I know a few things about adb shell/logcats but couldn't find/understand anything analizing those during an APK install. I can provide logs, etc.

I have traced the problem to the bug in Skype that doesn't delete com.skype.raider or something like that. The only way to get rid of this file is to root and delete it from /data/data which is only accessed by rooting. I don't want to root, but I need Skype. I have heard you can temporarily root your phone. Does phone automaticaly go back to stock after you restart?

I can download any app under 10mb, but anything over 10mb such as Facebook, gives me this error. I have enough space on my SD card and internal memory. Considering I can download any app under 10mb just fine. I have tried tons of apps and games over 10mb and none work, ONLY ones under 10mb.
Is there a way to update android on my phone, which could possibly eliminate this issue? Because I didn't have this problem on 4.0.1 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on another phone.

Apr 11, 2014Recently, I have been VERY frustrated with my phone as it is not possible to install ANY apps. I am using a Huawei Ascend G510, unrooted, running Android 4.1.1. I heard something about luckypatcher, but I do not have it nor could I find it on Google Play. Google Play keeps saying "Insufficient storage available". I have over 120 megabites of space for apps. I tried cleaning cache and data but it did not work. What's really weird is that I couldn't even install the app with an apk ! Is a facory reset needed (I hope not, as I can't even install a backup app...) ?

Aug 13, 2009So the one of the first thing i did when i got my hero was to stop the htc message service n went to chomp sms, awesome app. anyway i wanna change the notification / message sounds to something not in the default list. basically i wanna crop a music file on my phone and have it as a message tone like u can and i have done with my ring tone. i was expecting for there to be an option to chose what i set the tone as.
what i mean is, when ive cropped a file you get an option to 'set as ring tone' or set as 'contact tone'. no option for notification sounds. ive also played about in the chomp settings and i can only get a list up for default sounds. am i just being stupid and dont know where to look, or do i serioulsy have to keep the crap htc sounds? ive got a peter griffin soundboard, if i click n hold on a sound it pops up with set a tone and notification, and i can set that as my sound but i dont want that, i wanna crop a music file.
