I know that you will be able to have stock live wallpapers that are animated but will you also have the option or be able to use and apply your own animated (gif) pictures to your home screen?

OK, newb here. When I try to use a wallpaper (stock HTC or downloaded) I get the little box to size it, but it's in landscape mode so I don't get the whole wallpaper on the home screen. Shouldn't it be portrait? Am I missing something simple?

I used following code :

and wallpaper image is set but it spans across all 3 home screen. How can i fix it to one screen so that if user swaps home screen a single image will display.
I just bought a HTC legend today and I have been trying to add the animated wallpaper. I searched online in forums and youtube and was unable to find how to add the animated wallpaper.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently got my incredible and i love it, I have 2 issues with it, first is battery but you know downloading stuff all day long will tank a battery the other. I cannot put a picture on the wallpaper on my phone. If I do, it changes it to the HTC colors. I can however post any live wallpaper just not any pictures. This is become a great irritation and I am uncertain if this is a software or hardware problem.

Even if I use a wallpaper with the correct screen resolution(800 x 480), it still never displays correct on the screen. It seems to always "zoom in".Any idea?

I have 5 Bitmaps which I am trying to overlay on a wallpaper Bitmap which is 5 times the display width. Using the code below I get OOM. The problem seems to be the first line of code which creates the large wallpaper Bitmap. My question is whether there is a way to do this (i.e. some way that takes up less memory, or someway to allocate more memory?).

I am having a heck of a time getting any pictures and many downloaded wallpapers to show up on my HTC Incredible. After I set the picture or whatever and crop it, I return to the home screen and the Colorful Bubble HTC Wallpaper always shows up instead, only the live wallpaper really works all the time. Anyone else have the same problem or know a solution?

I have other bootanimation.zip that work but I can't figure out what the difference is.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have an Eris and running 2.1 (not rooted) Just started using Launcher Pro. One problem to resolve. I installed Beautiful Widgets - Home as I thought it acted the same as it does on HTC Sense. The location is good, the time is good but when I touch the weather part of the widget, it stays static. I expected to get to see the "forecast" for the next few days.
Also I expected it to be somewhat animated when it is invoked (fog, rain drops, sun throbbing, windshield wipers) as that's the way it is on HTC. I thinks some of you are using this app here on LP. Can you tell me what settings to use to get these features (animated weather and weather forecast) to work? Do I have to download and use a skin other than the default one? If this is a Beautiful Widgets developer question. Does someone have the developer's email as it's not provided in the site (in France I believe).
I have been reading through the manual for the Desire and it states that you can have a different lock screen wallpaper to the wallpaper when the screen has been unlocked.
However, I can't seem to manage this at all.
Does anyonw know if this is possible or if it is an error in the HTC manual?
The reason being I would like to have a nice bright lock screen image but a normal black background for when apps and widgets are all over it.
Seems that I've lost this functionality some time ago, I don't have the option of selecting "Live Wallpaper" from the appropriate menu. I'm using CyanogenMod 7.2.4

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having no luck deleting some pics that I no longer need on my phone. I had previously created a new folder called Stuff using ES File Explorer where I had temporarily stashed these pics. This folder is visible when I go into the Gallery, as are folders named Camera and Messaging. Some of these stashed pics were copied from Camera and some from Messaging...so like a dummy, I have the same pics showing up in three different places.
Anyway, I finally decided today that I wanted to delete those pics. I opened the Stuff folder in the Gallery, menu selected all, then hit delete. The screen flashed momentarily, then all the images reappeared. I tried the same thing again, but no luck. I even deleted the Stuff folder while in ES File Explorer, but it still shows up when I go into the Gallery. When I opened the other folders, Camera and Messaging, when I try to delete the pictures, the Delete option is grayed out.
I have no idea why, but I then went into ES File Explorer /sdcard/dcim/.thumbnails (had to select the option to view hidden files/folders) and wondered if maybe it was just the thumbnail images which still remained. So I deleted those too. Still no luck.
What am I doing wrong. Where do I have to go, or what do I have to do, to delete this stuff permanently?
