Just a quick question about making pictures from the gallery your wallpaper? Is there any way to get it to use the whole picture. as it stands, whenever I try to use a picture for my wallpaper, it makes me crop the picture, and no matter what I do, the crop box never lets me use the whole picture, its like there's a size limit or something.

Just wondering if anyone knows of an app that you can make a wallpaper for your phone with the pictures on your phone all while using your phone? I did some searching and could only come up with apps that just had wallpaper databases.

I downloaded an image from commons on my phone. I then hit settings->personalize->home wallpaper->Photos and then select the image when it appears. I get the confirmation popup "the picture has been set as your wallpaper" but when I hit the home key nothing has changed.
If I select any image from "photos" it does this, but if I select HTC or Live wallpapers it works fine.
For a while now the thumbnail gallery has sometimes merged pictures - so on the thumbnail it's actually a combination of more than 1 picture. This hasn't really bothered me until recently because the more pictures I take the worse it's getting, so much so that I can't always tell which picture I'm going to be looking at until I actually select it. In every case the picture views correctly on the screen when I view them one at a time, it's just a problem with the thumbnails. I've attempted to clear the gallery cache which made it appear slightly better but not by much. I've checked the DCIM / .thumbnails folder but there's just loads of files in there saying file and RAW file and to be honest I don't know what it's all about. I've trawled the net and checked the forums but cannot seem to see a solution - does anyone know what I can do in order to solve this?

I've tried zipping and unzipping but it doesn't seem to ever actually play the live wallpaper although it plays on my android.
When I try to set a wallpaper from my own gallery, it only allows me to select a specific part of the picture. For example on the iphone I could resize the selection to fit the screen as much as I wanted. But the captivate sets a box and i cant make it bigger or smaller to select the entire wallpaper. and also doesn't matter how high res the picture is, it always looks blurry. Unlike the stock wallpapers, they look super sharp and clear. Anyone know what im doing wrong or how to fix it so i can choose to display an entire picture as my wallpaper rather than just a small portion?

I have two "download" folders on the SD card. When I mount the card, I only see one folder, so I see only one set of pictures. In the gallery, I can access the other download folder and see the pictures, but when I navigate to what seems to be that very folder, I only see a bunch of apk files. how to "export" the folders from that download folder?

View 5 Replies View RelatedBasically I downloaded the app ES File Explorer and I cut everything on the internal storage and pasted it in to my SD card. Everything worked perfectly except now I can't view any of my photos in the gallery, it seems as if they all just disappeared! I noticed something during the switch over from the internal to the SD card that a message about DCIM came up. Now apparently that has to do with photos and I just skipped it. I went into my SD card folder after and it only shows the pictures that have been screenshot and those that have been posted on Instagram. None of my pictures that have actually been taken with my camera are in my sd card folder neither in my internal storage.
Does this mean they have been deleted because I pressed skip during the transfer?
The phone I am using is the Motorola Razr I XT890.
I have pictures in the gallery that I think was pulled from an old blog I had on blogger. The problem is that I cannot delete these pictures. I have checked all file folders under my files. I have tried the long press method and put check marks on the pictures but the delete option disappears and all I am left with is share and about. I also connected my phone to my PC and checked all files there but these pictures seem to only show in the gallery. Seems if they are in the gallery then they have to be in a file somewhere? Sincing is turned off and the blog was deleted months ago.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy mobile is xolo q800, see my attachments in 100 % zoom .1st image shows a comparison between the original pic (left side) and the same pic as my phone wallpaper (right side) with no cropping and scrollable taken by default screenshot (hold vol- and power button simultaneously). i have marked the problem areas with black circles for u to compare notice the scar below the eyes appears smudged in my phone...the same pic looks good without smudging when viewed with astro file manager or quickpic....but even when i set the same pic from quickpic(no smudging in quickpic app) as the wallpaper....the wallpaper looks smudged again.
