So I've downloaded the Tajm and Battstatt which are widgets and for some reason they're downloading directly to my sdcard. So while I have them on my homescreen and I reboot my phone they will not show up anymore. So I decide to move them to my phone memory and when I do they no longer show up on the widgets list anymore.

Also, when I'm in "bulk storage" mode when plugged into my PC via the USB, I assume the window that pops up is the SD card as opposed to the phone memory?? View 9 Replies View RelatedI have some 80MB left on the phones memory, I have downloaded a lot of apps, tried them and deleted most of them (but far from all). There are still a lot of apps I would like to DL and try out, but before doing that I would like to move as much as possible to the SD card, it says I have 3.67 GB available, so plenty of room. However When I go to Applications--> Manage Applications the ption to move them to the SD card is grayed out and the option is not available to me. What do I need to do to turn it on?

I realise there are a few threads about this, but I thought I would make a new one for my easier guide, and hopefully people will find it more easily as they won't have to scroll through pages of other threads to find an answer. I am now successfully running most apps from my SD Card now. I just thought I would make an easier guide as the others are fairly complex for noobs like me............
Just followed instructions on how to move apps to sd card on an unrooted device....all worked well, moved what i wanted to, but would now like to put phone back to default settings to install apps to phone memory.
I tried to open run command on my pc with phone connected and typed pm setInstallLocation 0.....but all that comes up is command is not recognized.
Does all apps etc get saved by default to the phone memory or the SD card?? Also, when I plug in via the USB cable and want to transfer some videos and photos across from my old phone, are they saved to the SD card? Is there any way of checking what is saved to where?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need some tech help please. I have checked the settings on my phone the volume is up for everything (i.e. ringer, notifications, media) The ringer works. The sounds work. But when I try to open a downloaded application from the market, it wont play the sound. One of the examples of this: I downloaded a silly piano application, and it wont play sound, but it will vibrate. That is one of many apps without sound. What do I do?

First of all I downloaded the file and it is zipped.So i unzipped it and copied the unzipped files onto my sd card into an applications folder I had created. From there I opened the applications folder with Astro but I dont know where to go from here.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Hero is going haywire. I was trying to download some apps from the market today and they don't want to start. So I rebooted my phone to see if it made any difference. Now when it starts up I get error messages that the com.android.phone and a few others are not working and have to force a close. I have no service either. All the installed apps and components are working but not phone itself. I am with Cellular South in Mississippi and my wife has a Hero also which is working normally so I know it's not a network issue.

File management and, file transfer applications to wireless link to my laptop followed by the transfer of all my work presentations (powerpoint) and lecture notes. All worked fine until today. Now, my device seems to have lost all the downloaded and installed apps (leaving gaps on the desktop). It has also discarded the image I had chosen for my screen background, and I can't see an icon to go to the Android store. Finally: on one of the screens I have the message "Problem loading widget". That might be connected to the problem that Android Market has completely disappeared. How do I get that back!! It's important. My transferred files are still sitting in folders in DCIM so that's good. but none of the special applications are visible. Can someone give an opinion on this. Has something taken place online with Samsung that has put my system back to its out-of-box state.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use gmail. I get attachments. I am trying to find a means to be able to save these attachments directly to SD card. For example,
jpgs/png/gif, not a problem. docs/xls/txt, I can peview, but not save them. problem is if I get a 3g2 file, I cannot preview or save the file. Sometimes I get videos from client's phones and I can nor longer view them remotely. With my winmo phone, I was able to at least detach them to the SD card. Bottom line, is there ANY way, app or otherwise, to just simply have a "download" button?
I've come over from a Window's based phone and love the Incredible, but am having a problem with pictures that I can't find an answer to in the manual.
I simply want to save all the pictures I take with the phone to the SD card so I can transfer the entire file later to dedicated photography software to be cataloged and tweaked.
I can't find how to set up the system so that every photo goes directly to the SD card by default.
I just got a GPE LG Pad 8.3 and I have not seen an option in the stock camera app to save photos and video to the SD card. Is there any camera app that can write photos and videos to the SD card? It seems like a waste of an SD card if I can't have my photo's and videos go directly to the card.

When i click on the 'App' Icon it says 'To add widgets open the vodafone shop and download your widgets' I already have the apps installed on the phone for sure, just need the shortcuts to appear under the 'App' button.
