Android :: Save Gmail Attachments Directly To SD Card
Nov 15, 2009I use gmail. I get attachments. I am trying to find a means to be able to save these attachments directly to SD card. For example,
jpgs/png/gif, not a problem. docs/xls/txt, I can peview, but not save them. problem is if I get a 3g2 file, I cannot preview or save the file. Sometimes I get videos from client's phones and I can nor longer view them remotely. With my winmo phone, I was able to at least detach them to the SD card. Bottom line, is there ANY way, app or otherwise, to just simply have a "download" button?

Apr 18, 2010I've got a 16gb micro SD card, and other than music and some pictures i've not really got a lot on it. My internal memory has almost been used up though, and I think this has something to do with my text messages. I was wondering if there is a way to directly save them to my micro SD card, instead of the internal memory? One of my friends, who also had a Hero, had too many text messages and her message app wouldn't open and kept crashing. I don't really want this to happen to my phone.

Oct 4, 2009I've developed an application which has a service and boot completed receiver. The boot completed receiver schedules the service to be executed after every 7 minutes. The boot completed receiver saves its context in a public static variable which is then accessed by service whenever it is scheduled by scheduler. The service first gets the IMEI number of phone and then saves it to a file if it is not already saved. Everything worked smoothly but then i logged into market place and after that the scheduled service was not able to get IMEI number directly , neither was it able to open the file which had already been created and it keeps on throwing nullpointer exception for both direct IMEI retrieval and attempt to open file.................

Sep 9, 2010This is my first "smartphone" although I have used a corporate Blackberry and I have used a Palm for many years. I've had this phone for about a month now. While the hardware is ok, the software for critical functions (Calendar, Contacts, Notepad, and Music) absolutely sucks!
1. I do not want to use Google/Gmail for my calendar and contacts. I don't know about any of you, but I do not feel comfortable having my confidential contact and calendar information sitting on the internet in Google. The company I work for even has a block on Google contacts & Gmail because it is not secure and fraught with potential for virus. I want a way to sync calander, contacts and notepad directly from my PC to my phone. Unfortunately, this can't be done. I've tried Companion Link. Besides the fact that it cost $39, I can't even get it to work. This type of functionality should be a basic part of a smartphone. Iphones do it. Blackberry's do it. Palm Pre does it. Why not the Droid?
2. Music - I have been trying to figure out a way that music synced to the Droid will play in the proper order. The Droid will only play music in Alphabetical order. I can't find a way to play music in Track # order. I have been on the phone with Motorola for hours. Finally got to Level 2 tech support. They told me that it cannot be done. How stupid is this? Try listening to a Broadway Show album in alphabetical order! Right now I feel if you just want a fancy toy, buy a Droid. If you want a real "smartphone" look somewhere else.
General :: Motorola Moto G - Save Apps And Games On Cloud To Save Storage?
Apr 19, 2014I have a Motorola Moto G 8GB which is running very low on storage (only about 800mb left). This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

Motorola Droid X :: Sd Card Reader Showing Blank Card
Aug 17, 2010today I put my sd card into my sd card reader to throw some photos on to my computer. After I was done i put the sd card back into my droid and booted it up. After booting I get a notification saying my SD card is blank, so I turn off the phone and pull the battery out. When I grabbed my SD card it burnt my hand "literally" it was that hot... Wtf?!?! I put the SD card back in the reader and the computer doesnt even see the card. Idk if anyone has heard of a similar problem b4 and knows a fix...Thanks in advance! Side Note; I work at a cell phone repair store, so I put the sd card in two other blackberry's and they say "your sd card needs to be formated or it is corrupt". I put other sd cards into my phone and i have no problems.
