HTC EVO 4G :: No Push To Talk On Bluetooth Any More / Get Same Functions Back?
Jun 7, 2010I got a plantronics 975 that worked awesome on my old mogul. The Bluetooth is synced fine and it works incalls but I can't use if to voice dial or answer/hangup. How can I get the same functions back?

May 26, 2013I am using IMO for Instant Messaging and so i removed the TALK app from my Nexus one (running Oxygen Rom) using Titanium backup.Recently there was an update in TALK app and i wanted to try it (Hangouts) so i installed it from the playstore. It was very slow on my mobile so i removed it again.
Now i am getting Talk notifications (with the old TALK icon) in the notification bar. along with the IMO notifications. When i click on the Talk notifications it does not open any app. and the messages that are notified by TALK are missing in the IMO app so its very frustrating.
So i thought it must be the HANGOUTS app and re installed it from the Play Store. Now i get Hangout notification, Talk notification and IMO notification. I removed the Hangouts app from the Application Manager and i still getting the TALK notifications.

Aug 10, 2009I'm looking at 3 different apps to develop for the Android, but I'm new to the platform (come over from Blackberry - yuck!).
Anyhow - I need to know if there is some way to push data to the phone from a server. I'd prefer to avoid using SMS to push (user charges), or constantly polling the server (lets see, every 5 seconds = 12 times a minute, 720 times an hour, over 17000 a day)
HTC Desire :: Cant Get Push Email To Push Using HTC Desire-always Reverts To Manual
May 26, 2010I have a strange problem with Push email on my HTC Desire. I can set this up no problem - email comes in but only manually. I cannot get the push to actually work. When I go into the send receive schedule I can set up the days/hours for peak off peak and push but regardless of what I set these to be, when I go back to the previous screen it always says the Schedule is Manual. I've tried setting up lots of variations from manual through timed to push but still the same. Net result is push never seems to happen - manual overrides my schedule. To pick up email I have to go into email and do a manual sync.

I'd like to be able to use Google Talk on my Hero and his BB in lieu of SMS for chatting with him while at work, so that I can turn my phone on Airplane mode with only wifi on to save my battery (signal is terrible in my office)My concern is that I'm not sure if Google Talk is always connected like his BBM seems to be. Anyone have any insight on this? I see that "Automatically Log In" is an option....but say for instance we don't chat for a few days and he decides to send me a message. Will it be pushed to my phone?

HTC EVO 4G :: Gchat Keeps Disconnecting Using The Talk App
Jul 20, 2010So I got my Evo replaced last Friday due to screen separation issues that led to touch screen issues. My old Evo had no issues staying connected to Gchat using the Talk app.
However, this Evo seems to keep disconnecting whenever my screen turns off, and even when i reconnect, it may take up to 15 minutes to recieve messages. I have played with some settings but nothing seems to make a difference. I know this is a know issue on a lot of Android devices, but it seems to be random. I have searched and searched, and found no solution to this issue.

I don't want anything on my home screen...only i want is a live wallpaper to show on my home screen. And also how do you get the phone icon to show up while your in another app? So that you don't have to go back to the home screen just to make a call.

May 2, 2010After you speak and it transcribes the message, how do you accept it? It seems to automatically add a space after the message.so if I press space to accept it, I need to go back 2 spaces to add a period.If I press '.' to accept it and add punctuation, it leaves a space between the end of the transcribed message and the punctuation.I know this sounds minor but when sending a lot of texts, it can be really annoying.

Jan 21, 2010Tell Luke Wilson's Download the Dialer@Bar app from the Marketplace and you can make/ receive calls while surfing the web using wifi,This app is sweet, mad props to the dev, its free but I will defiantly be donating! Just pull down your notification bar to access phone and contacts. FU At&t, you don't need the app to do this but it makes it much easier because you don't have to exit the web page, just pull down the notification bar.

Android :: Not Able To Sign Out Of Google Talk?
Jun 15, 2010why I'm not able to sign out of Google Talk? I have 2 Gmail accounts and want to switch over to my other one. I unchecked the automatic sign in box in the settings and forced closed and reopened the program again. When I open it, it automatically signs me into one account. It's extremely annoying. I hope I don't have to do a full reset of the phone because I already have so much stuff on it already, including a lot of personal data. This is something that I just can't get by because I need to start using G Talk now.

May 18, 2010I like chatting within Google Talk, but the thing that is missing from the Android Application is your SMS contacts. I added a few of my family members to my chat as SMS (just their phone numbers), and I can chat with them via chat for me, and SMS for them in any browser. Is it possible to send SMS via Google Talk on Android? I assume it's possible because it's possible on a PC, but why hasn't Google added the support? I guess the carriers wouldn't like it much, but that shouldn't stop Google.

Jul 27, 2010The metal bar at the top of the speaker hurts my ear when I talk on my phone. Its mostly when I have to press the phone against my ear like if some talks quietly and the volume is all the way up. I fixed this by putting a case on my phone but I have an extended battery and door on the way so I won't be able to use my case anymore. My question is does this bother anyone else and is there any way I can fix this?

My name is Austin in the conversation. So this douchbag was telling my brother where my sister lived. In the end, it seems as there were a networking problem but I have no idea.

Jul 1, 2010It seemed after the update, Google Talk will not quit running at all. No matter if I sign out and stop the service. It will be back and running in about 5 minutes and say it has been running since the phone has been awake, like it was never turned off to begin with or the time running would be real low. What apps and other stuff use this service?It seemed before the update, once I killed it, it would NEVER be running.
