HTC Desire :: Screen Stays Blank
Jul 25, 2010The thing is that time to time my device does not respond to screen touch. For instance: then there is an incoming call it stays blank and I can not see who is calling and at the same time not able to answer it.
Touching the screen does nothing, only after pushing hard buttons, I am able to terminate the call. Also, when I am trying to access the OS from sleep mode by pressing the power button--there is no home screen--it stays blank. The only thing it does---the lights go on the home, menu, back and search buttons.
I did contact ot HTC help service and they told me to try to use the device in safe mode for two days. (this should terminate all 3rd party applications, that might cause the issue). Its my first day that I am use is in the safe mode and so far I do not experience any problems.
I do suspect that the reason of my problem could be the task killer that I am using in order to eliminator some programs running in background. But I did try out several task killers so far, however the issue remains the same

Dec 25, 2012I just got a samsung galaxy proclaim. All i want is an app that can make the 4 soft touch buttons on the bottom of the phone be light up whenever the screen is lit up. The phone is for my dad, who cant see the best, and he can never see the buttons when they are not lit. I am very tech inclined and have rooted my thunderbolt and modded the hell out of it and flashed roms all the time last year. I really can not find anything out there app wise, and there is not other option other than holding your finger over the light sensor on the front of the phone.
The phone is not rooted, but i could root it if that is necessary. would rather not as i see it presenting new possibilities for problems for a VERY beginner user just learning what texting means.

Apr 28, 2012I wanted my default wallpaper to show up when flashed the rom, so i replaced the default one in framework-res.apk and deleted live wallpapers as i did not want the nexus live wallpaper to show up, i also deleted the live wallpaper chooser since there are no live wallpapers to pick from... I succeeded in getting my default wallpaper but my lockscreen wallpaper went blank/empty/black .I can still choose the lockscreen wallpaper from cm settings but How do I fix that?

May 8, 2010This seems to be an issue that I may have just noticed. Sometimes when I turn on my phone the touch sensitive buttons do not light up. They may eventually light up but it would take a while. Also sometimes they light up immediately with no problem. Is anyone else having this same issue?

Well i was a little bit nervous soo i add (probably) not good firmware (it was SANEI_N90_0208(2012-08-27) ->0208.img) And it has upgraded. But now i have a problem. When i turn ON tablet it just flickers 3-4 times i see desktop like this:

May 18, 2010I watch quite a few .mp4's on my Desire, and I'll really like to turn off the the backlight behind the physical buttons if possible, not so much to aid battery life but for the factor they are a bit annoying if you're watching something in the dark.
