Why is it that thee buttons at the bottom of the phone sometimes light up and sometimes doesnt?
Is there a way to make them always stay on when the phone is on?

Is there any way to make the capacitive back light time out? It's somewhat distracting to me when I see it lit when I'm watching a video. Plus I'm sure it will help save some battery as well.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis seems to be an issue that I may have just noticed. Sometimes when I turn on my phone the touch sensitive buttons do not light up. They may eventually light up but it would take a while. Also sometimes they light up immediately with no problem. Is anyone else having this same issue?

View 4 Replies View RelatedCut a small 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch square of black tape and place it over the light sensor in the upper left corner just to the left of the verizon logo and the soft key lights stay on when the screens on and they turn off when you turn the screen off. Works perfectly and really doesn't look that bad.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn my activity I respond to an onClick() by replacing the current view with a new one (setContentView()). For some reason when I do this and then go back to the original view later the button I originally pressed still looks like it is pressed. If you 'refresh' it somehow (e.g. scroll over it with the trackball) then it reverts to the unpressed state. It's as if the button doesn't get the 'touch-up' event. The weird thing is: This only happens on my T-Mobile Pulse (android 1.5). It doesn't happen on the emulator. I've tried calling invalidate()/postInvalidate() on the view when I show it but it doesn't have any effect.

I noticed that there's light leakage around the volume buttons, where the top and bottom components connect. As I trace around the edges, everywhere seems to fine except at that one connection point. Now I'm really concerned that my phone has a physical defect and may need to be exchanged. Has anyone else noticed this? Should I be concerned and get an exchange? I'm really bummed that my phone may have a problem.

When I owned a palm, there was a program call KBlights... shut of the keyboard, hardbutton lights.
My buttons won't light up when I'm in a dark environment. My screen is currently on auto brightness. I don't think its lowering the brightness one bit when it's dark.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got a samsung galaxy proclaim. All i want is an app that can make the 4 soft touch buttons on the bottom of the phone be light up whenever the screen is lit up. The phone is for my dad, who cant see the best, and he can never see the buttons when they are not lit. I am very tech inclined and have rooted my thunderbolt and modded the hell out of it and flashed roms all the time last year. I really can not find anything out there app wise, and there is not other option other than holding your finger over the light sensor on the front of the phone.
The phone is not rooted, but i could root it if that is necessary. would rather not as i see it presenting new possibilities for problems for a VERY beginner user just learning what texting means.
I used to own an HTC Magic, and whenever I used the GPS the "My Location" blue dot would always stay in the middle of the screen, like a real GPS.I now use a Telus HTC Hero, and not only does the screen not follow the blue dot, it turns the screen off after a minute. View 5 Replies View RelatedOn one of the home screens or scenes, whatever, i had put the 30 day month view HTC calendar widget. it synced with the Google calendar just fine and there was a little triangle in the upper left corner of the box for the days that had an event. however, they only stay once i reload the widget. and after a little while they go away, but if i pick a day, my events are still there. i really like that the little triangle. how do i make it stay? is there another app or widget that will allow a full month view with the little triangle or similar mark for days with events?
