General :: GS2 - Phone Will Freeze Or Just Reset Itself With No Warning?
Mar 8, 2013.1. This phone the first week started hanging up on people and is now doing it more often and i noticed while im on the phone before it hangs up on people it makes this weird clicking sound and cuts them off for like a second but only i can hear it , it does that a couple times then hangs up with no warning.
2. The past few days my Wi-fi and 4G will randomly turn themselves on i dont know why.
3. I plugged my phone into my laptop to sync my new music onto the laptop so ill always have it incase it doesnt save on the memory card because its done that before. but when i went to sync it none of my recently downloaded songs are showing up on Phone or SD card and i remember setting it to immediately save to SD card so i don't know whats wrong with it.
4. sometimes the phone will freeze or just reset itself with no warning either.
General :: Suddenly Phone Freeze And Had To Pull Out Battery
May 22, 2012a week ago i bought new phone. Huawei Ascend G300. Everything was fine for a week but yesterday suddenly the phone freeze and i had to pull out the battery. After switching the phone on a screen for factory reset appears. Four lines of errors come up and the phone self formated itself. (error reading data, reading cache etc..). So i set it up again but it happens again today...First it was while i play modern combat 2. Second time when i was just scrolling thorough screens. (already formated SD card and phone manualy - will see what happens). Anyway heres hprof error file which was generates after the crash and self format.

Apr 5, 2013I have recently Bought an S9300 phone and when received all was working OK. And I was really happy with the phone. BTW the phone runs on Android 4.1.1 OS (MTK6577).After a week I started experiencing problems with the camera and gallery. The seller instructed me to reset factory settings. This didn't work.
Then he sent me the firmware so that I would Upgrade it. This has been done but know, after upgrading firmware, when I turn my phone on all I get is a blank white screen. Although the hardware seems to be responding to button commands, the blank white screen persists.
To Upgrade the firmware I used the Smart Phone Flash Tool.

Jun 12, 2010I have an app which uses 3 different spinners to allow users to choose from some options. Iīve added those spinners to my layout without editing most of itīs properties and this way it works for most of my users. Unfortunately most isnīt all and then some of them started complaining that the list of options is showing text in white with over a white background! Iīd like to know if thereīs a way (or a property) so I can force those spinners to show the options list using text in black.

Didn't know what I did coz what I want is to get out of that screen. I may have changed something. Jun 3, 2014yesterday when i went into my gallery, it suddenly says i have no files. google music says i have no music. when i take new pics they show up as if the device was empty before. ive checked in the file manager and all files are still there, just undetected.
ive tried a bunch of rescan sd card apps but they all crash when i open them.
im using an LG G2 running 4.4.2 Stock, not rooted, not anything. havent tempered with anything.

Oct 12, 2010Today, I made a call and the party on the other end was not answering. So, I tapped the red "end call" and nothing happened. There was not feedback from the phone at all. Other end kept ringing. No response anywhere on the phone. Soft keys would not respond--Nothing. Had to press power key and power off, then reboot.

Mar 10, 2013My Galaxy Nexus died after only a year. It had gotten to where the phone portion stopped working completely and data rarely worked even though I am in a 4G hot spot. I went in yesterday to pay full price for a phone and the rep offered me a new phone for the regular upgrade price. After an hour I walked out with a new Droid DNA and could not be happier.
Yes, I had to give up unlimited data but the most we have ever used is 3.5 GB per month and they gave us 4 along with unlimited minutes and texting which my wife needs. I could not be happier at the moment.
General :: Android Phone Stopped Recognizing SD Card?
Mar 29, 2014Today I woke up to my phone charging by the night... but it downcharged to 15% of batterry. I reboot it and find out that my SD card showed up info of being "empty". The minitool partition wizard on a PC shows me that info:
no no, the memory card is 8GB not 32MB. How to recover the partitions? Also, the SD card has been partitioned for use with app2sd programs with this tut: [URL], because my phone (HTC Explorer "Pico") has a very small amount of internal memory. The rom was stock though.
Of course I could re-format it, but I don't want to, because the data stored there was very special to me. I want to recover it.
HTC Eris :: Phone Or Battery - Either Freeze When Screen Was Off
Nov 27, 2010Not sure which it is, and the answer will lead me towards either a new, better phone, or just a new battery.
I got my Eris a little over a year ago, so it's out of warranty, and it always had the occasional problem where it would either freeze when the screen was off, so I'd have to do a battery pull, or I'd take it out of my pocket to find that it was restarting.
It went through a few phases where it did both of those things a handful of times per day, then it stopped for a while, then started, then stopped.
Just recently, it's picked up again, and this is about 2 months after I rooted the phone, and until now, it's been great rooted. I've only really noticed this again though since I switched from KaosFroyo to CelebFroyo, but again, I also had these problems BEFORE I rooted too.

Oct 8, 2010Okay, so my phone has been freezing a lot lately, just locking up, going black. I couldn't find the issue, phone is rooted, tried many different roms, virtuous has been the best to me freeze wise. I wasn't even able to get through setup 99% of the time. I finally found out everything works fine when the sd card isn't in there (only 4 GB - class 2 / upgrading soon). It is formatted as FAT32. Do you think transferring all the files to my computer, reformatting it, and then putting all the files back on will fix the problem? Or have any other suggestions?

I am rooted, I have tried the new fresh and older versions, they slow my phone done, and it freezes all the time. I am on a rooted/stock version on 2.1 and would like to use live wall papers still? Do I have a chance? I don't want to just flash one of the lwp updates from the rom section without asking here.

Im happy to have upgrade to android .The only problem i have had so far is when i turned the phone off and try to restart it would freeze and have the android logo replay but never get to the home screen. Had to force recover mode 3 times. I'm guessing some app that force the phone to stay awake might be causing this . Oct 5, 2010I just got a SF about a week ago, and am loving it! I rooted within 30 mins of leaving the store, and wanted to downclock the phone when the screen is off. I've been reading a bit, and apparently the Fascinate downclocks automatically to 100MHz by itself? Can anyone confirm this for me please? I tried setting the screen off profile on SetCPU to 200MHz, but noticed my phone freezing up in standby mode. Nothing would wake it up, except a battery pull. I tried bumping up the speed to 400MHz, same effect. I noticed the problem became worse and worse since I've installed it. I had to stop using SetCPU. The problem went away after I stopped using it. I was using SetCPU 2.00 I believe.Also, another question. Is there anyway to set custom ringtones for individual contacts? I don't see the option anywhere.

Sep 12, 2010Hi all, I've owned an HTC Eris since January and have been pleased overall until I upgraded to 2.1 a couple months ago. That's where the real issues became more rampant. I've stumped most of the kids at Verizon, have wiped the phone a couple times, and even was given a whole new phone once.
This post isn't intended to be some whiny rant because I really want to see if there are any resolutions aside from getting a different phone. This list is extensive and obviously I wouldn't be posting if I wasn't concerned. Any help/feedback is appreciated. Thank you!!!!!
1. Some incoming calls freeze the phone. It is any one caller, just random. Phone will just ring uncontrollably and the screen just goes black. It will continue doing this until you pull the battery. Sometimes a force close message appears but you can't clear it. No buttons work.
2. If send text, then happen to turn the phone will it's sending, it force closes. At least the text still sends, but it's just lame.
3. Laggy response and/or need to push a button several times to get it to respond. I don't have a screen cover.
4.The default action on some favorites resets. Many times when I select a favorite to call, the phone asks me which default action I want to set. Hello, that's why I chose a default action in the first place!
5. Can't play more than 2 songs in a row on either Pandora or Slacker without phone crashing and reseting to home screen.
6. Bluetooth disconnects often. Sometimes takes a while to re-connect.
7. If I get a text while browsing the internet, it freezes that page and displays a "server cannot connect" error. I can go back to previous page and stay connected to internet, so that' ok. But I cannot navigate back to the original page I was on without getting the same error message. I need to close the bowser, and re-open to get back to that page.
General :: Text Message Freeze Up?
Aug 23, 2011Activity Text Messaging (in application Text Messaging) is not responding. I then get the option to force close or wait. I get this, which freezes my text messaging, every time I turn off my screen and then turn it back on to go to send a text. It's rather annoying, as it happens many times. I've read many other people having this problem, but their issue related to high volumes of stored texts. I deleted all mine, and the problem still persists. I turned off the phone and turned it back on, cleared the cache, and checked the task manager. I can't seem to find the issue. I have a Droid Pro running GB, and it happened just the other day. I only downloaded the Amazon Market App in the last few days I don't really want to download a free text app because I, personally, love the stock texting app.

Nov 14, 2013I'm experiencing a problem with SwiftKey - the stock keyboard always shows up as the default after every boot, even though SwiftKey is enabled in settings. I read somewhere that a workaround is to freeze the stock keyboard using Titanium, and convert the SwiftKey app to a systems app. So my question is, how do I do that?

I know I can long-click on the correct entry in Titanium's App list to freeze an app, but specifically, what app name do I need to look for (is it Keyboard_english.apk?)
And how do I convert SwiftKey to a system app? I'm not even sure what this means. Do I just have to ensure it's located on internal storage (not SD card)?
General :: Any Way To Freeze Apps (Not In Use) But Want To Keep Installed?
Mar 24, 2012I have several apps, paid and free, on my phone that I currently don't use. I could uninstall them, but I'd like to have them at hand in case I decide to use them again, and would rather not have to write them down or search for them again. Many of them additionally load automatically and have no options to turn that off, so I end up with a good 100M of RAM wasted.
I know paid apps will list as purchased in the market, er, Google Play, so I could easily find them again if I uninstall.
Is there any way to freeze apps so they don't autorun on my phone
