I have the Droid Max and I am using the default google keyboard, I am not a fan of some of the other keyboards because I have big hands and it can be hard to type on , how to remove the emoji or maybe even a better keyboard.

I am thinking about trying ShapeWriter Keyboard but have some concerns before I dive in. Can you also utilized the voice recording function if SW is installed? Also can you revert back to the original keyboard that came installed on the DI phone after installing SW?

Is there a soft keyboard out that has alt, ctrl, tab, shift, and a pipe?
It would also need multitouch and/or some sticky keys option to be able to utilize them. (like being able to press ctrl+k)
I don't care about swype or any "super awesome" keyboard with gigantic keys. I'll deal with typos if it means I can keep my evo and still get around in shells remotely without having to carry around a bluetooth keyboard (whenever cyanogen or somebody gets BT HID working).
I don't care about auto correction. I don't care about text prediction. I don't care if you can put a Hello Kitty theme on it. I don't even care if you're forced to use a Hello Kitty them to use it. I just want a keyboard that works as a full keyboard.
1. is it possible to remove an original apps (some developer apps / something that cannot be removed even I reset it to factory setting) without rooting my phone?because I've read somehing in this forum about "ROM kitchen", so I can modify the stock ROM. because so many apps that I want to uninstall it.
2. how to get my current ROM in my phone?Sometimes I want to go back with the same firmware like I used now.
I've gotten a hold on some new HTC Magic covers, original covers.
Does anyone have any experience in changing the covers, is there a risk for damaging the phone itself? Or is it just "plug and play".

I have accidentally installed this baseband on my Sky Vega 820: "IM-A810K_ICS_Baseband FW212.zip".
Afterwards, when I installed CM10 jellybean ROM update via CWM recovery it installed correctly but did not load. The CM10 screen appears and the wheel rotates but then a blue screen appears showing "MDM Error" and the phone reboots automatically. This keeps on happening again and again and the ROM never loads.
I think the Kernel of my device is changed. I want to move back and install the original baseband for my device but I am unable to find it...
How to flash the ROM back to the original factory setup.
The instructions say:
Download the "Stock Asus Rom-and-bootloader.zip" available in the "Download" Section.
It includes the Asus Vcom Drivers, Flash Tools and the Stock Firmware (Rom, Locked Bootloader, etc)
Tablet MUST BE TURNED OFF, and with full battery The VCOMM Drivers MUST be installed
Then it has you connect the tablet to a PC. Do I download the .zip file to the PC? Do I install the VCOMM drivers to the Memo Pad HD 7??

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if it works on other devices I'm using an OV running cai. you won't need any messaging app other than stock. So go into your stock messaging app, and hit the menu button. Go into settings, and find emojis support, and check that. Then right above that (on my phone) check the option that says Unicode support. These options both are under extra settings!
Now to get the emojis go your messaging, go into a new message or one that your already talking to (your girl , hit the menu button and it gives the option the insert smiley's and the option to insert emojis! The rest is easy

I uploaded a custom rom. I hated the rom. I then tried to revert back to my original backed up rom. It didnt work! Now im stuck. How do I get back to my original rom? I dont care about being rooted. If apps offer updates that turn out to be crap can you get back your original app that worked better? For example handcent sms had new update that's getting a lot of people saying its "force closing", "slowing phone down", and adding cheeky "charges for some new crappy feature" when the app is meant to be free. I've seen this with many updates people not being to happy, so again, can I update an app and then get the previous version back if I'm not happy with it?

I rooted my EVO yesterday, using unrEVOked, it did not want to install until i removed HTC Sense from device manager. I rooted the phone for the wifi tether, which worked. I then decided to install CM6, so i made a backup image using nandroid, and followed all the directions for that. CM6 did not want to install until in installed PC36IMG.zip. I found out that none of my contacts were there and needed to install GAPPS, which i can not find a file for that (all links seem to be broken). Now i want to go back to the original HTC rom, but still have the phone rooted.
*PROBLEM* When i go into the restore in nandroid it starts to run but then gives me "Error While Flashing Boot Image".
How can i get back to the stock HTC rom ?? Another issue is that when the phone is plugged in it no longer sees it as a mass storage device, and i can not see the SD card.
I changed my lock screen background to a picture from my picture folder and now i can't get the defaut one back. If I go to Personalize/lockscreen wallpaper I only get to choose from album pictures but in Home Wallpaper you get to choose from a Wallpaper Gallery. Why is that and how do I get the original background back or any other nice background pic.
