I am having Iball andi 4.5d quadro mobile. I got stock rom of my mobile from this website [URL]
I used SP flash tool but now touch not working
There is no information on how to flash the entire ROM package back to your phone (at least with regard to the errors you may receive).
how to backup one of my phones entire rom package and put it on my other phone that I messed up via the Smart Phone Flash Tool (the exact same model: Star Touch Diamond 2 B2000 MT6573).
The new phone works perfect, I have never touched it, my old phone which is the same model I deleted and formatted the system so I need to put the stock rom on.
I was able to do a "backup" of my new phone, but when i try to flash the preloader and uboot, etc, the sp flash tool says error loading file, or region too large with overlap.
By the way, my phone is not bricked, but I cannot access recovery! I was able to find and install another fully assembled rom to my phone and the phone does power on with lights, but it doesnt have the display driver I need so I cannot see anything.
The reason I flashed another rom was because the phone was essentially bricked and wouldnt do anything, and that was the only rom I could find on the internet that was a full package (preloader, uboot, system, etc) but isnt compatible with phone.
Anyhow, if I understand correctly I need to use hexadecimal calculator to find length of partitions of original phones rom, readback the files, somehow edit the preloader file? then flash them back to the old phone?

i rooted my T15A tablet with "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v17" tool and then installed/flased "SuperCharger_Starter_Kit_RC12". After the flash my internal storage shows up with 0 byte and i am not able to install any app. A factory reset did not work too.
I've got another original T15A tablet and want to create a full backup of this and flash it to the bricked one.I found some guides on how to create a backup by connecting to an adb shell. This guides are all device specific and i now dont know.what to backup under /dev/blocks/ ....
- how to do a full backup / restore?
- Maybe we just can fix the 0 byte error (but i didnt find generic solution about that)
Code:
root@android:/ # ls -al /dev/block/
ls -al /dev/block/

I'm planning on getting my wife a tablet for christmas and the one I found is running Android 4.0, is it possible to copy my backup recovery from my N7 and root and flash the other device? If so, any other roms.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having the documented problem of no data connection, always on roaming, after flashing to CM 10.1. My prior rom was CleanRom 5.1, and I have several nandroid backups from various roms over the last few months. GS3 (d2vzw) with root and unlocked bootloader.
So the question is... What's the best way to restore IMEI info and get mobile data back?
There are a couple of steps I'm not sure of:
Option 1: Flash a nandroid recovery, backup IMEI using terminal emulator, and then crack-flash away
1. If I restore my phone to a previous backup, is the correct IMEI information included?
2. Also having a problem getting the MD5 sum's to match. Should I flash through ADB instead of clockworkmod? Or use Odin to get back to stock and then re-root? If correct IMEI included with flash back to stock?
3. Assuming I restore a nandroid, the plan was to use "reboot nvbackup" in terminal emulator to save IMEI info.
4. Flash back to CM 10.1.
Option 2: Use IMEI Generator and NV Reader/Writer:
1. Based on this thread: [URL]
2. Problem: The link to the generator tool in the OP is broken (404). I can get the converted IMEI number from an alternative program, but don't know how to format the text file correctly to use with NV Reader/Writer. Any standard format of a dummy IMEI text file?
I've updated my Galaxy S II to ICS via Odin but wanted to erase my flash history so flashed an old bootloader .tar file, erased the flash history but now want to flash the ICS bootloader back.I've extracted the sbl.bin file but cannot create a tar file that Odin recognises. Have tried using 7zip but Odin locks up when I try and flash it.
how to create a flashable .tar file.
Im having a Samsung galaxy y right now and planning to buy a new smartphone
Im on low budget so Im looking for high specs and low budget phones from Indian brands
I do a lot of tweaking and use a lot of mods /custom Roms for my sgy
As Im thinking of getting Indian smartphone (xolo a700), i fear someday ill mess up with my phone and get it bricked
I can't find much of stock/custom Roms for any of such phone
So my question is how can i create a backup, including system files and stock Rom so that i can mess up with my phone and revert back to stock Rom when i need to Im talking something like what we've for sgy ,the odin flashable stock roms, which work 99% of the time even when cwm recovery doesn't work of
im wondering is there such way to create a zip file with multiple zips in to flash at once? Purpose of it is to save time flashing 5 different zips through recovery every time we flash new roms?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe ROM that I use on my phone pretty much discourages dirty flashing updates [CM10.1 based]. So for the last 10 or so updates, I have clean wiped my HTC Rezound, then restored from a TitaniumBackup.
First I disabled compression of backups.
Then to restore I go to /sdcard/TitaniumBackup/ and run a bash command:
# for i in *.apk; do pm install "$i"; done
Then I go to TitaniumBackup, and every app is installed but doesn't have my data. So then I batch restore my data for my apps [Pretty much only user apps, except a few system things like SMS, WiFi networks]. But the problem is, recently, TitaniumBackup will quit halfway through a batch restore of "Data only." So I've been manually restoring data 1 by 1 for the apps that I need data to be saved across rom updates.
But then I thought, "Hey, why can't I just backup my /data/data/ folder?" but then I also thought that would probably be like a dirty flash.
I'm trying to find a good To-Do list/hierarchy list/Outlined List which would allow me to create track projects in outline fashion. Anyone using anything like that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to do a few things to my phone (create gold card, free it from ROM lock in, throw on a new recovery image, and flash to a new ROM) but I noticed most of the guides are for windows... Is there a way to do any or all of these things on a Mac? The guide I was looking at is here:
[GUIDE 16/11/09] Get started rooting Telus HERO130! (No need for QMAT!) - xda-developers
But it has all windows tools. I'd hate to have to install windows on this just to flash my phone.
Is it possible to create my own backup transport for my own cloud service I offer?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed UD8 for about a week now. But ever since I have flashed some kernels (slayers 1100lv, chevys 1100 lv, p31200) I have not had the stability nor the quickness that the original 800 stock kernel gave.
I made a nandroid backup b4 flashing those roms..so my question is this: Do i have to wipe cache/data before i flash my nandroid backup? Or can i just flash it w/o doing any extra steps?
I'm looking to flash again... right after I loaded all of the market applications that I love onto the phone.
I apologize if this is a trivial question; I'm not yet all that familiar w/ the program management on the android. But what I would like to be able to do is create a directory (be it on the sdcard, my laptop, etc) and store the install files for all of the apps that I install on this phone after every flash. This would save a tremendous amount of time bringing the phone back up to usable status after a flash. And the cat's meow would be if the configurations for these apps could be backup locally as well. Similar to a ~/.name_of_application/ directory on a linux box.
I'm poking around the file system right now, and not finding anything obvious. Would these be the files out of /system/bin?
